Bit of earbud history: those generic S19 were produced in late 2019 and I ordered mine on 1/1/20 … good old before times ;) Those were later sold as Fugu Inovations in Japan and you can still find a used set at e-earphone (last image). They even predate the Ambie AM-TW01 which came out late 2021 (also mainly Japan) … yet somehow most of main stream credits Bose with ‘inventing’ the clip-on style with the release of the open Ultra in Feb 2024 ;)
By today’s standards, those S19 sound unsurprisingly quite crappy. But back in the day this was a very cool way of staying alert while having I.e. your favorite meditation bling bling music to keep you calm. The case also has a 2200mAH battery and a USB-A port ;) … at $15 that was a steal.
Edit: just found the old Ali Express listing where they are advertised as ‘bone conducting’, which they are absolutely not.

I still think the Liberty 3 Pro are the pinnacle of Soundcore’s sound design.

Surprisingly a bit less than my June challenge which was 22.51Mi for 14 days.

Only have been playing with them for a bit, but the ANC is very impressive for budget buds. Tip sizes leave me a bit puzzled. XXS, but no XL.

I might let this one slip

I did a bit over 600km in May and thought I would never top that … my running style is all z1-z2 fairly flat long runs. More of a mental health exercise than hard speed sessions. Even on ‘rest’ days I do gentle active recovery treadmilling. And I firmly believe that 100 squats a day keep injuries away … or at least at bay. According to Strava my total running time for this was 68:37:49

Had some extra time and the urge to keep moving. Doing more than 2K cal a day is not uncommon, 3K is pushing it … so I wondered if I could do 3K cal and 50K steps each day for a week. My total running distance for this week is a tad over 200km. That’s also a first. And overall I (and my legs) are feeling just fine.

We have a trash collection area in our apartment building and whenever ppl are moving they get rid of old stuff. Today I found this, still with styrofoam compartment protector in place, overall never-used looking! Batteries in and I see it turning. Tape in and sweet sound! (A tad stronger on the left than right) … connected to my JBL tour pro 3 and I can improve this imbalance and the sound quite some. Very nice Father’s Day gift to myself ;)

Specifically the A3909011 model from 2019, not the upgraded LDAC version from 2021. I just feel I’d like to add those to my collection, but wonder if whatever is out there would have at least 1h playtime. (I have some sony network Walkman from the early 2000 that still run amazingly well / long)
And are they still fun? My Lib 3 Pro still give me goosebumps.

But it is getting a bit silly. And I want to shift part of my work out time towards strength training. So, less steps / distance from July. Won’t chase the monthly challenge anymore.

I keep having a hard time managing the recovery time ‘suggestion’, especially Mondays, after a busy weekend. I started this morning at 56h and managed to get down to 43h by afternoon after gym / treadmill / gentle active recovery. Then i took a nap! After which i did my daily 100 squats which is 3.5 min of cardio. And then i went grocery shopping for dinner which is 1000 steps worth of workout. And the clock jumps to 95h? WTF?

It tells me I did 3 little gold medals. When I click to see details I see those 3 categories in Results. But when I go in there I only find Best Efforts and Segments. Not those 3 achievements … bug? 🐞
