Gordie Howe Time Lapse
I went for a very long bike ride today with my GoPro mounted to my helmet. I wanted to explore the areas right off the bridge in the US and get familiar with the area a bit. Biking the bridge is no joke. You’ll need a bike with a low gear and good brakes. It was incredibly exciting to do this for the first time.

A little throwback Thursday to the show at The Danforth Music Hall. I also saw his performance at Movement in Detroit for the same tour. It made the cancellation of Be Up A Hello easier to stomach.
Why traffic calming measures are needed.
Yesterday I was biking through a residential neighborhood a block away from a school. A Dodge Ram driver accelerated by me as fast as possible just to get to the stop sign half a block away. I gave him a thumbs up gesture to mock his reckless acceleration. So he pulled over a block and a half up and started berating me saying “I am allowed to accelerate to the limit (50km/h) as fast as I want. It’s totally my right to do that.” I just laughed at him and asked if accelerating that fast half a block away from a stop sign and in a school zone was really so necessary?” He also squeezed me off the road and forced me onto the sidewalk. When I mocked his stupidity more he attempted to jump out of his truck and fight me. In my city (Windsor, ON, Canada) it seems Dodge Ram drivers are the absolute worst. It’s almost always a Ram that passes me on my bike and floors their accelerator to prove how badass they are. And they think that accelerating as fast as possible is technically legal, so why not do it? It’s car brain stupidity at its finest and most reckless. This is why we need traffic calming measure like speed humps in residential neighborhoods. It’s also why we need dedicated bike lanes. I was on a road that is technically a bike route, but only has two blocks of protected lanes. In a protected lane this Ram never would have been able to run me up on the sidewalk. Unfortunately my city is terrible at providing adequate infrastructure, and consistently caters to cars. Some neighborhoods are slowly adding speed humps, but we still have sections of town that are notorious for collisions in otherwise quiet neighborhoods. It’s also why I shouldn’t mock aggressive boneheads. They get big mad. I guess that’s on me. 🙊

BPM Catalog
Does anyone know if there is a catalog of BPMs somewhere? A few years back I went through a bunch of vinyl and wrote down the BPMs. Now I’m going through all my IDM/electronic music to create a spreadsheet with tempos, time signatures, genres, etc. I’m sure it will take months to complete since I’m also listening for skips and weird change ups. But, for example, I know the only change up on Big Loada is the one measure vocal break. Being able to lookup the BPMs could save me time on stuff like that.
Thanks in advance.
My vinyl collection of the boys.
About half and half originals and reissues. Twoism, Campfire Headphase, Beautiful Place, and Hi Scores are all reissues. The rest are first presses. Geogaddi and MHTRTC have about the same median value on Discogs, not that I’d ever sell them.
Ratification vote day for Ford Motor Company local 200.
Waterfront Time Lapse
I mounted a GoPro to my head and went for a late night cruise.
Next time I move I hope I get an address that’s very easy to remember.

WINDSOR: SHIFT CHANGE

My new album is finally out.
My new album is out now on Detroit Underground. It features artwork by Geneviève Gauckler and a music video by my good friend David Chesley. It’s a mix a genres, but definitely falls under IDM. I rarely promote myself, but I’m proud of the album. I hope a few of you enjoy it.
