How do yous blow your noses?? 🤧

… without ruining your makeup?

I sometimes have managed with just a q-tip lol but obvs this can only really clear the bottom of the nose hole and if you’re real sniffy like I am rn it wouldn’t last long. I also don’t tend to carry q-tips around with me (though maybe I should…).

When at home I sometimes will legit blow my nose directly into my hands (I know — ew— it’s to spare my sensitive skin from paper 😆) and then wash them and gently rinse my face lmao. But I’ve never tried this with makeup on (don’t wear makeup often bc I always tend to mess it up somehow 👀), only with sunscreen which I’ll still then reapply after. And I wouldn’t do this when out and about.

Is there some magical technique to actually blow one’s nose in paper without messing up foundation etc?? Or some magical setting spray or powder which genuinely makes the products paper proof??

I am curious to hear your thoughts & experiences ❣️ thank you.

Happy flu season 😪😪😪

(Btw I am not actually sick anymore or I wouldn’t go out wearing makeup, I’ve just still got the sniffles a week after recovering 😭 I also work as a bike courier so in the cold season my eyes and nose are still very runny a lot of the time regardless of my health ugh)

Am I hinging???

I have ADHD & terrible interoception and apparently also terrible video literacy bc I can’t tell 😄 Ive always struggled with dead lifts and actually decided to quit before I read someone on here recommending to think of it more as a hinge than a pull. Am I successfully doing that here?? Also, is it cool that I don’t put the bar on the ground between reps?? I always hated having to ‘reset’ again each time after putting it down (shoulders back, chest forward etc)… but now I’m wondering if my form is worse for it (shoulders falling forward, chest dropping??).

Thank you for any help 💓💓💓

Merci beaucoup!! 🙏🏻💓

Insanely good in spite of cauliflower 😱

Yooo I made a protein smoothie ft both spinach and cauliflower bc I’ve not had a lot of veg lately and I fully expected it to taste just OK but it actually tastes AMAZING. Besides the fruit and the fact that this protein powder is sweetened lmao, I think the “secret” is the combination of hemp seeds + lemon!!! Creamy & tangy 😋

Ingredients:

- frozen spinach
- frozen smoothie mix (blueberries, currants, banana)
- frozen cauliflower
- peel + juice of one lemon
- this protein powder
- matcha powder
- hemp seeds
- some soy milk (let the spinach thaw in this in the fridge to make it easier to blend)
- water

IMAGE DESCRIPTIONS:

Image #1: purple smoothie in a plastic blending jug. Light green reusable straw. Stood on a wooden table, TV and and living room mess in the background.

Image #2: Shelf of protein powders at the store. The one in the middle is from BioTechUSA. It’s in a brown and green paper bag and it says VEGAN PROTEIN in big letters. Below: ‘Plant protein drink powder with quinoa, goji and açai berry’ and ‘Vanilla cookie flavoured’.

Saladitos by the Sea

Someone posted their lupini bean meal here the other day and I learned that they actually are higher protein than soy beans!! So rather than a raw block of tofu, I took a jar of Saladitos to the sea with me after the gym

EDIT: see the comments for nutritional info!

EDIT #2: ok it wasn’t that shitty bc I also had hummus, stuffed vine leaves, spinach & flat breads 😄 and see the comments for dessert !!! The Vanilice were divine and went really well with the chestnuts !!! And I was so happy to find coconut cubes that were 100% coconut and didn’t contain gelatine

EDIT: I also added a square of dark choc before the last blitz!!!

How important is it to hit protein goal daily?

Say my daily protein goal is 100g. Is it just as good to get 80g one day and then 120g the next, meaning I’m averaging at 100?

Or would it be better to get 90g every day, even though it means less protein overall?

And is it more important to hit one’s goal the day after training than the next day?

I’m wondering because lately I’ve had some days where I get home late, really tired and not feeling hungry, knowing that I’ve not hit my protein goal (well, I don’t measure it, but I did at one point, so I have a fair idea of how much is in what foods and whether I’ve got what I need or not), but also aware that if I decide to eat despite not feeling hungry, I’ll likely grow an emotional appetite and end up eating much more than intended (I have binge eating disorder). I try not to care about the caloric surplus (I also have restrictive eating disorders ugh, and have a weight-neutral attitude to health yay) but I hate being bloated and the over-eating is really expensive.

So, if this were you, would you just go to bed saying you’ll eat more tomorrow, or would you stuff down some TVP chunks?

Thank you!

SPF for couch potato bod?

You’re sat under a large, south facing window wearing flimsy shorts & cotton tshirt for big chunk of the day every day. At what point on the UV index scale do you bother with SPF below the neck?

I always wear sunscreen on my face, neck & ears, even if I’m inside all day, and I try to reapply it every two hours, though sometimes I only manage one reapplication (and ngl I seldom reapply on my ears because it tends to make my hair greasy 😬). This is all year round, but now it’s summer and more light is coming thru the windows & I’m wearing less clothing. I really care about sun protection but I also hate feeling sticky and especially abhor the contact between sunscreened skin & fabrics. And what’s the point of wearing suncream on my legs if I’m just rubbing it all off on the couch cushions as I scooch around? Should be noted that I’m also lying down a lot of the time.

I sometimes pull the curtains, but A) I don’t think their SPF factor is very high, they’re just a couple of milimetres of pink velvet fabric (I read that a standard white cotton T-shirt offers the equivalent of SPF 4), and B) I’ve recently discovered that lack of natural light (thru my retinas? Because I take vitamin D3 supps year round) makes me depressed. I do own UV protective clothing, but only one pair of pants, but they’re quite warm & often in the wash as I use them for cycling & running outside.

Does anyone know about sun exposure through regular windows? and the significance of the sun’s angle, shadows etc? Eg right now (10 AM) the sun only (visibly) hits the edge of my sofa and not my skin. Is my skin still taking a hit?

Thanks for any & all input 🥰

TL;DR: please offer your advice & opinions on using SPF from the chest down when inside under a big window <3

SugarFULL protein bar

This protein bar from RE:DO is really nice!! I like that it has sugar bc I needed a little pick me up before the gym and something with sugar alcohols would probs make me super bloated. Beware that it also has wheat protein/gluten, so not for the coeliacs

High protein kibble brek

- soy TVP chunks
- roasted & salted edamame* beans
- roasted & salted chickpeas
- roasted pumpkin seeds
- almonds
- banana chips
- dried pineapple pieces
- hair, skin & nails vitamin gummies (raspberry flavour from Yummylab)
- creatine gummies (Ice Tea Peach flavour from Bodylab)

* why are whole / less processed soy beans called edamame?? Is it a specific sort or?? It’s a cool name BUT I always have the urge to just call them soy beans because I feel like a lot of omnis who are otherwise soyphobic happily eat them not realising that they are in fact soy beans…

Served with raw asparagus, green beans with sesame seeds, kidney beans with garlic, salted peanuts, Plain Gathia chickpea sticks and lotsa sweet&sour sauce.

OK so I used that trick for thinning down dried up nail polish with nail polish remover on this 10 in 1 nail repair from Essence and then applied it as a base coat. But then I remembered that acetone can dry out nails….. so isn’t it problematic that I just applied it to my naked nails and am allowing it to stay on? I also couldn’t add just one or two drops bc the bottle of remover is the push-down kind that you use with a cotton round so a lot came out and into the polish….

Do you think it is damaging my nails? Should I remove it and start over? Or is any damage already done? Thank you!!

Someone posted asking if Brønshøj was a part of the CPH delivery area (it is). I couldn’t figure out how to post a photo in the comments, so here it is

u/canastakat — 6 months ago

Does anyone know? Also I don’t want to do deliveries if there is a strike, please let me know if that is the case! (Copenhagen) I keep missing the strikes and feeling bad. Thank you so much to the strikers for your protests btw!!
