swipe for some pictures of the kittens together 🥺 he's so sweet. i have been calling him honey 🍯 but its definitely more of a nickname and i dont like it as his ''legal'' name.

his friend is called Percy, named after the writer Percy Bysshe Shelley.
my other cats are Clementine, after the walking dead telltale game character
and Mahito, after the main character of the studio ghibli film the boy and the heron

so basically i love a good reference to some media i love, but i dont mind this name not being a reference and just a name that sounds great.

i like british english names (i study english lit, love english culture), food names, nerdy names, or anything else you can think of that you think suits him !! hes very sweet and also VERY playful and curious. he loves walking up to another cat and fully headbutting them. hes also my first mostly-white cat and i love that white tummy so much . you can also see in picture 5, he has three completely pink beaned feet and then one foot with a dark splotch on the big bean 😭

Welcome to the r/mainecoons monthly feature, where we spotlight a chosen Maine Coon each month! The winner will have their picture made the sub thumbnail for the entire month, as well as having a post about them pinned to the top of the sub for all to admire!

There will be a different theme each month, with winners being chosen by a mod vote.

This month's theme is Your favourite picture of your cat!

To enter, simply add your favourite picture of your Maine Coon, with a short description of your cat, fun facts etc.! You will have three days to post your pictures and we will announce the winner around September 1st!

Picture attached to the post is a Maine Coon kitten called Percy, and he is miiiine. This is absolutely my favourite picture of him, he's so darling. Not trying to endorse putting clothes on cats - he only wore the shirt for a few minutes because I was trying to desensitise him before his neuter, although he ended up not having to wear a recovery suit - I still got this darling picture out of it!

my baby isn’t even done growing as he’s only seven months old, but this “elevated food bowl” is already way too low for him to not be hunched over anyways! i do like it because of how flat it is, i think its good for there to be no whisker fatigue. i only feed them their wet food in it

does anyone have recommendations for an actual higher food bowl? preferably one that i can get in the netherlands, but otherwise do feel free to share what you have for your maine coon and i can look whether its something i may be able to get here somewhere

ik heb een zes maanden oude maine coon kitten die erg speels is - ik had gehoopt dat mijn twee 1.5 jaar oude -ook speelse- katten met hem zouden spelen, maar dat doen ze helaas niet, en het is dus aan mij.

ik merk dat hij supergraag echt zou willen worstelen met iets, en op het moment geef ik hem dan bijv een takkie knuffel van de hema waar hij dan wat mee speelt. echt vastpakken en bunnykicks doen met de achterpoten zegmaar

maar ik heb dit product dus online gezien, en het lijkt mij superleuk om iets te hebben waardoor ik zo met hem zou kunnen worstelen zonder dat ik me zorgen hoef te maken over zijn tanden/klauwen

de catsumo brand zelf verzend alleen niet naar nederland, en ik zie bijv op amazon wel een heleboel knock-offs die volgens mij gewoon allemaal van aliexpress etc komen. heeft iemand er hier toevallig ooit één van geprobeerd, of heeft iemand een ander idee voor iets in deze trant?

"Hello! This is Fritzy. Sadly she is no longer with us as of early May, but she was my best kitty. This is from April and she was a pro sunbather! She was stubborn, prickly and had tons of tortitude, but she also had a purr that you could hear across the room. When she wanted to sit in your lap there was no other option, and you would get purred at for hours. She loved popcorn and would harass you for popcorn, also accompanied by the purr so that you couldn't forget what a nice cat she was. ❤️"

Thank you so much for sharing her with us! She was absolutely gorgeous and she looks so relaxed seeking out that sunbeam - and of course, your story tugged at our heartstrings.
