She was stubborn, prickly and had tons of tortitude, but she also had a purr that you could hear across the room. When she wanted to sit in your lap there was no other option, and you would get purred at for hours. She loved popcorn and would harass you for popcorn, also accompanied by the purr so that you couldn't forget what a nice cat she was. ❤️"

tldr: mijn vraag is of mijn hor kat-proof genoeg is voor mij om het raam open te hebben terwijl ik in dezelfde kamer ben, maar niet vlak naast het raam zit.
hi friends
ik heb deze maatwerk hor met huisdierengaas laten maken bij een bouwmarkt(hubo) omdat ik graag het raam open wou kunnen hebben zonder mijn katten in een andere kamer te moeten doen.
ze zijn binnenkatten en we wonen op de tweede verdieping.
ik heb wat foto’s bijgevoegd van de metalen stukjes die de hor in het kozijn klemmen, en het witte dingetje in het midden is iets wat ik omhoog zou moeten doen als ik de hor eruit zou willen halen. ik heb hem niet zelf gemaakt of gemonteerd dus
ik merk op dit moment dat ik het nog te spannend vind om er niet vlak naast te zitten. het is mijn grootste nachtmerrie dat er iets met ze gebeurd en dat ze zouden vallen…… maar ik weet ook van mezelf dat ik me snel te veel zorgen maak, dus vandaar dat ik wou vragen of er iemand met wat verstand van zaken kon zeggen of zij het zouden vertrouwen of niet?
ze zijn in principe meestal rustige katjes en hebben er nog niet in geprobeerd te klimmen, maar stel je voor dat er één wel een gekke gedachte zou hebben, zou dat dan mis kunnen gaan?
excuses als het een domme vraag is maar het knaagt aan me..,

I'm sure that for any cat haver this doesnt need any further explanation hahah. To enter, simply add a picture of your Maine Coon in a funny pose, with a short description of your cat, fun facts etc. You will have three days to post your pictures and we will announce the winner around July 1st!

ok so i am joking but, im watching campaign two for the first time right now and while i understand that the only way to make the sound of a door with your voice is to have it be creaky,,, but oh my god. every door is creaky !! why is the lavish chateau filled with creaky doors!! could we please just have a character go around with a can of WD40 and lube up the place !!

I thought it would be funny to write a namenerds post from the perspective of cleopatra - as in The cleopatra. these are her children's names. the children mentioned in this post all lived 2000+ years ago. i thought cleopatra's story is so interesting, her first child was by The caesar, and reading abt her twin names for the first time was lowkey part of my namenerd awakening bcs i loved them so much. but seeing the way people respond to some names on here i thought people would definitely say omgg thats too matchy, etc!!

- oldest son: ptolemy xv caesar, nn. caesarion (means little caesar, after his dad. im not in the usa so the little caesars restaurant association isnt as strong) (ptomely is a family name)
- twins:
boy: alexander helios (alexander after alexander the great)
girl: cleopatra selene (cleopatra is a family name)
i thought this was soooo cute, the matching middle names meaning sun and moon.. but my MIL thought i was kidding when i first brought them up to her while i was pregnant :/ is it too far ??
youngest son: ptolemy philadelphus. middle name means brother-loving.. just manifesting for everyone to get along ig
please be brutally honest. i loved these names when i gave them but im second guessing myself :/

"This gobby 9 year old, is Tamara - she's 9 years old and has FIV, hence the missing teeth. We rescued her in September 2024, after she had spent 2 years living outside after her owner had passed away - she is very healthy and the FIV doesn't get in the way of her living her best life, which is shouting at us. This therefore, won't surprise you, that her fun fact, is that she is very loud and opinionated and will scream and shout at us for brushes, treat throwing time (where she chases after said treats that we throw for her) and will 1000% lie on me for 6+ hours if I didn't move. ❤️"

if you see his nose being a lil dirty, no you didn’t!! the vet said it’s just like boogers that turn dark from contact with air. and he’s an incredibly enthusiastic wet food eater which means he puts his whole nose into the food which dries up and leaves a lil line across his nose.
but he HATES me picking him up and trying to clean it up (even if i swap a churu in and out) so i only do it once every few days.
anyway. he is the love of my life ❤️🔥

ok so i love this place and constantly feel inspired by people here - after seeing the hot dog nails post yesterday it just kept haunting me and i had to give it a whirl at home. i love them so much.
also in pictures 2 and 3 you can see my JustTheCuff, which i first saw in this post by u/MacktheSporker. its basically just a part of a sleeve only, for example for when it's warm weather and you want to have a nicer background for your nails but don't want to wear a warm sweather. i don't knit or crochet myself but i asked my mom and she very kindly made FOUR DIFFERENT COLOURS for me i love her 😭
materials used:
- basecoat from the hema department store in the netherlands
- holo taco - sweet tooth (for the pink base)
- essence - red-y to go (i was going to use holo taco - left on red but i couldnt find it and found this first)
- holo taco - banana medicine (for a base opaque layer for the mustard)
- cirque colors - mango jelly (just over the mustard)
- seche vite quick dry top coat
- nail art brushes
