I ran my first 10K last week in Bangalore.
Do we receive an official certificate for completing the race?
As if the event wasn't poorly organised enough, even the post-race experience was disappointing. We didn't receive our official timings until the afternoon, and the official race photos were made available only late at night.
I'm now waiting for the official e-certificate.
Do they provide one, or should I stop waiting?

Monthi Fest is a major cultural and religious festival celebrated annually on September 8 by the Konkani-speaking Catholic community,
The festival serves a dual purpose: it commemorates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (the birth of Mother Mary) and functions as a traditional harvest festival to express gratitude for the bounties of nature.
Hi everyone,
Posting on behalf of my 23-year-old niece.
She's a BBA graduate with 1.5 years of experience in MIS reporting, visual merchandising, retail operations, customer service, and Microsoft Excel.
She's looking to transition from a field-based role to a stable office-based position, preferably in MIS, Operations, Back Office, Administration, or Retail Support.
If anyone knows of any openings or can offer a referral, I'd be very grateful. Thank you!
It still surprises me that people spend lakhs to buy a car but don't have the basic common sense to understand that a sunroof is not a balcony.
Edit:
To everyone saying, "It's their money, let them enjoy it,"
you are missing the point. The car is on a public road, not in an amusement park to do these kind of stunts
Here's why this is wrong:
• A sunroof is meant to let in sunlight and fresh air. It is not meant for children or adults to stick their heads out. Sunroofs were originally designed for countries with long winters and limited sunlight, especially in Scandinavia, to bring more natural light into the cabin. But due to craze in India, every OEM is minting money in the name of sunroof
• This act falls under Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act as dangerous driving and can attract penalties.
• There are many cases where children have suffered serious head injuries after hitting overhead barricades or other structures. One recent example happened in Bangalore. Here is the link https://youtu.be/Ukt65E4qEKs?si=0HzaU8Kr-0BwEyaF
• One sudden brake is enough to throw a child out due to inertia. On a highway, the child can fall onto the road and be hit by vehicles coming from behind.
If you want to ignore your own safety, that's your choice. But don't put your child and other road users at risk just for a few seconds of fun.

Today I took part in a Trail Run organised at the outskirts of Bangalore

It was my first trail run. I signed up simply because I wanted to try something new.

Completing it made me extremely happy. The experience, the trails, and the challenge were all worth it.

Just wanted to share this small personal achievement with you guys. 🙂
I have a friend who recently retired from the Indian Army after 5 years as a commissioned officer.
His key skills include:

* Defence procurement and GeM tendering
* Stakeholder management with Army, Navy and defence OEMs
* UAV/drone systems exposure and defence technology projects

He's looking to transition into the private sector and is specifically seeking opportunities in Bangalore due to personal reasons.

If anyone knows of relevant openings or can help with referrals, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Left my car at the service centre and thought of booking a Rapido to reach home quickly.

The rider took that personally.

What I expected:
A normal ride home.

What I got:
A MotoGP experience.

My b*lls were in my mouth

I spent the whole ride holding on and questioning my life choices.

Note: I'm a motorsport enthusiast myself and I love watching F1, Moto GP etc

But I prefer to keep motorsport on the TV screen and not conduct live experiments on Bangalore roads.

Looking at the recent posts, at this sub seems to be turning into an advisory service for people in their 20s and 30s.
I don't mind younger folks seeking perspective. But lately the ratio feels a bit off.
And then we even had a few brave souls asking about finding sugar mommies.
Can we hear more from the actual 40s folks

Did anyone get treatment from this hospital. ?
While all the hospitals in city are filled with patients, I have not seen a single person around this hospital.
I own a 2018 Vitara Brezza diesel AMT. Recently, during a long highway drive, the AMT transmission warning light came on while driving. The car was still moving normally, but I stopped safely, switched off the engine for a minute, restarted, and continued driving.
After another 50–60 km, the same warning appeared again. This repeated around 3–4 times during the trip. There was no blinking “N”, no major jerking, and the car did not go into limp mode.
Later, I took the car to an authorised service centre. They inspected it and said there is leakage in the AMT unit. According to them, the AMT unit is not repairable and the entire unit along with the clutch assembly needs replacement, costing more than ₹1 lakh.
Interestingly, the advisor himself suggested not to replace it immediately because of the high cost. He said I can continue driving carefully for now, especially by avoiding aggressive or very long drives.
Now, here is the background which makes me doubtful about the diagnosis.
Around 5 months ago, during another highway trip, the engine thermostat failed and the engine started overheating. Since I was travelling with family and was far from home, I had to get it repaired at a local garage.
In the Suzuki diesel engine, the thermostat is located close to the AMT unit. To replace the thermostat, the mechanic had removed/moved the AMT unit for access. I personally feel that while refitting, there might have been some issue with sealing or alignment, which could possibly be causing this leakage now.
Is there any other fix possible.
Im from Bangalore. So if there is any other option I can explore in Bangalore, it would be great.
Would really appreciate genuine suggestions before spending such a huge amount.
