2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Street Trucks Make the V-8 Great Again

The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee family features three distinct V-8 engines: a 395-hp 5.7-liter, a 470-hp 6.4-liter, and a 777-hp supercharged 6.2-liter. Along with wider body panels from the RHO and TRX, all these street-oriented trucks have a tidier quad-cab, short-bed configuration that brings a shrunken wheelbase. The regular Rumble Bee will go on sale later this year, with the 392 and SRT arriving in early 2027; we bet the Hellcat-powered pickup will clear the six-figure price point.

2027 Toyota Tundra TRD Hammer Is a Raptor Rival Worth Waiting For

While Toyota has offered its largest pickup truck, the Tundra, with a capable TRD Pro model since 2015, the company has never fielded a true high-performance off-road variant to compete with the likes of the Ford F-150 Raptor. But that's about to change with the new Tundra TRD Hammer, which turns the full-size truck's off-road chops up to 11 with a wider waistline, an upgraded suspension, and a more potent powertrain. Toyota trademarked the TRD Hammer name in March, and prototypes wearing brawnier bodywork have been spied testing, suggesting Toyota's top-dog Tundra is near.

The photos above are not official photos from Toyota. They are illustrations based on how we think the new truck will look like. What do you think of the Tundra TRD Hammer?

Blasting Down California State Route 58 in the 2026 BMW M2 CS

BMW's M2 CS is a petite car with a lot of performance. We made it the headliner on California State Route 58. The CS gets its motivation from a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six which makes 523 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, 50 horses and 36 pound-feet more than a standard automatic-equipped M2.

In our testing, the M2 CS sprinted to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reached 100 mph in 7.0 seconds. The 1/4-mile arrives in 11.3 seconds at 128 mph. Our test car, wearing the optional carbon-ceramic brakes ($8500), brought the car to a halt from 70 mph in 155 feet without a hint of fade. Full review here.

The Renault R5 Turbo 3E is a super-cool electric hot-hatch homage to one of the feistiest French cars ever. Unfortunately, the production car won't be sold on our shores, but can we interest you in a Lego version? This fan-built set might soon join other successful automotive Lego Ideas, including a Caterham and Ecto-1.

The 2027 Hyundai Ioniq 9 adds a new top-of-the-line trim called the Performance Calligraphy Black Ink Edition. Like its name suggests, the Black Ink Edition is all black inside and out, and its loaded with standard features. While Hyundai hasn't said how much it'll cost, we expect it to exceed $80K when it goes on sale sometime this summer.
