How is the LG 5K2K ultrawide with an RTX 5080 or RTX 5070ti?
Currently gaming on the LG 5K2K with a 5090 and I love it at 5k. I'm having serious car issues though and could use some money for another car, and the 5090 seems like the quickest way to get that. I'd have to replace it with a 5080 or a 5070ti. Am I going to notice much of a difference, assuming I use DLSS technology?
How is the R5 Mark II VS the 5D Mark III?
I've had a 5D Mark III since launch, and it's recently started having issues. autofocus not working, the mirror sometimes getting stuck, save issues, etc. I checked the shutter count and it is at over 700k.
I feel like its time to replace it, and I don't mind spending a little more on another camera body that will last me over a decade. This has made me consider the R5 mark II. I have never used mirrorless before, and I recall hearing mirrorless had some issues in the early days.
I'm mostly a hobbyist these days, but I do paid work occasionally. Did a ton of weddings before the pandemic.
So, hows the R5 Mk. II compared to the 5D Mk. III? are there any weird transitional issues going from mirrored to mirrorless? how well will my EF glass work with the R5?
setting up freeradius with LDAP for company wifi; What is the best way to handle IOS devices?
Company wants wpa3 enterprise with free radius an ldap and asked me to do it. I set up the certificates and everything else, and things work great! Except IOS devices can't seem to connect.
For some reason IOS devices try to connect using MD5, despite me setting TTLS as the default type. googling and asking AI says that I have to have a mobile config file on apple devices in order to make it work. Management really doesn't want people with Iphones to require a mobile config they have to download.
Is there a good workaround so that the iphones at my company can connect to the hotspot and sign in using their LDAP credentials without requiring the use of a mobileconfig file?
Jumping into Black Flag Resynced has been kind of hard after this
I had wrapped up my 100% completion a couple days before black flag came out. I started playing black flag, and man I've been so used to Crimson Desert that the controls keep messing with me. I got so used to Kliff's movement that edward just feels kind of weird. Also combat just feels nicer in Crimson Desert, with attacks feeling like they have weight behind them. I feel playing CD before BF has reduced my overall enjoyment of BF. Also the BF Tutorial popups and other random popups are so bad that it feels like i'm watching one of those Ubisoft parody videos.
Ship battles are kind of fun though. And I'm not saying Black Flag is bad, I'm just saying it feels weird going from a game I heavily enjoyed to one that I'm not enjoying quite as much.
Is there a cable i can buy yo directly plug the 5070ti into the aoostar ag02?

Everyone should get to visit space
It would be nice if items for fetch quests could be taken from private storage
"Oh yeah, you need 5 cloth pieces? Well, I've got like 200 of them back home in Pailune, let me go all the way across the continent and get those."
Either that or get the ability to access private storage from anywhere.
I have a dead 1TB Samsung 970 Evo SSD. Is there anything interesting I can do with it?
to my surprise, the M.2 with my OS on it died. I was planning on replacing it anyways, and was surprised when I couldn't clone it, and I couldn't open or move a handful of files. Then out of nowhere, I rebooted my machine and the drive could no longer be seen.
There was nothing of value on the drive, mostly just an OS, but I was wondering if there are any tricks or anything I could do to try and access the data on it, or attempt to wipe it or something. I like to tinker, and I see this as an opportunity to do so. I have it in an external enclosure, and so far PC I have hooked it to seem to be unable to see the drive.
