I dropped off my joy con at UPS for repairs, but I received an email from Nintendo that they cancelled the service request an hour after drop off

I obviously didn't cancel the service request. I wouldn't have dropped it off at UPS. So what do I do? What happens to my joy con? I know they won't do any repairs, but does Nintendo ship it back for free? I don't exactly have the money for a new joy con right now.

How's Okiboru?

There's a quite a few ramen spots in my area (Atlanta) due to pretty dense Asian population. Okiboru is one of the chains that has... I think 3? locations in metro Atlanta area. Has anyone tried them?

This is KitKat. She peed in the empty cat litter box as I was cleaning them, shook her wet paws sy me when she got out, and stared at me like this

That one time this little rascal put her paw into my mouth

So I was laying down on the bed, licking away at my lollipop. Luna was by my head and watching me. Then when I took the lollipop out, she put her paw into my mouth. My reaction was legit "baffffpafpafpp" and 10 minutes of laughter. That was definitely intentional on her part.

My cats may be stolen by a legitimate nonprofit/rescue

Location: Atlanta, GA

I'm currently experiencing homelessness and no car, but working on getting my stuff back together. I managed to scrap $600 for a cat sitter for a month but she could not keep them longer.

Then I found a rescue/nonprofit that helps people who are experiencing a crisis and fosters up to 4 pets for up to 90 days (caveat: pets will be surrendered to the rescue after 90 days). They found a foster for my cats so the kitties were dropped off on Sunday, July 12th.

I was told the paperwork will be sent to ME over email and the cat sitter will not need to sign anything. I still haven't gotten anything. The person I was in contact with went radio silent as soon as the cats were dropped off. I sent emails. Then I called and left voicemails.

Still nothing. I'm an anxious mess right now. I might be able to find emergency help somewhere but I'm not how/what I can do about my cats right now.

A brat threw a butter knife and hit me right in between my eyes

I posted about this kid before. Thank fucking god it was a blunt butter knife and not a real knife. But of course I'm the asshole for saying "are you fucking kidding me?" And the bitch (kid's great grandma) yells at me about it. She's justifying it by saying "You were two once." Yeaaaaaah either my parents would've taken the knife away before it happened, or they would've made sure I never did it again.

Neglected rabbits that ARE NOT mine

The family I'm staying with recently acquired 3 bunnies. From where, I don't know. The problem is, they're not getting fed hay, nor are they setting up a proper enclosure any time soon. They're talking about setting up a small wired enclosure outside.

Not sure where to get help. This county's animal control doesn't do anything... I tried calling for another case and they let the animals die. I contacted Rabbit House Society but no response yet.

For the love of god, do your job as a parent/caretaker

Currently staying with this one family. Great grandma owns the house. Grandson and his girlfriend have a child together (almost 3 yrs old). Mom is at work and I think homeless so the brat lives with his jobless dad and great grandma. If the guy is around, at least he'll try. Kind of. But the great grandma is the main caretaker.

I've never, ever heard of a 3 yr old only drinking Monster and coke. Like wtf. Why. And I've never seen him eat a proper meal. Maybe a hot dog. No veggies whatsoever. Fries here and there. A pancake. Cookies and chips. Uh... Yeah.

Anyways he's old enough that he should be getting potty trained. Except... not. Great grandma doesn't enforce shit because she can't be bothered. Which also means he gets away with everything and acts like a brat.

Also watches Sesame Street. All. Day. Long.

Gets pouty if he's made to say "please" and "thank you."

Unsupervised whenever he goes out, aka he'll even run up to the road.

He shot me with a water gun. Twice. And I'm the one who gets yelled at for taking the damn thing away? Apparently I'm "meddling" and "he's a kid so he doesn't know shit." Uh no that's because you don't do shit, Karen. Thankfully his dad was there and got into an argument with her. He took my side and said it's because great grandma doesn't do shit, telling her that i clearly told him to stop. Wish he was around more.

Seriously, you can't justify everything with him being a kid.

Little Shadow and his new mom

This is the first day Shadow went to his forever home with his new mama. Someone picked him up from me and transported him to her neighbor, who's a widow and lost her cat last year. She brought out some of the other cat's toys and he looooved going through them. It's bittersweet but I know it's for the best considering everything.

Princess Luna is officially a year old now

I posted about Luna before but here goes. On June 24, 2025, girlfriend and I found ~week old Luna on the side of the road. Vet said she's about 10 days old, so yesterday is likely her birthday. We're guessing that her mom was moving her cats, got scared, and dropped her.

I struggled at first because Luna absolutely hated kitten replacement milk and I was so scared we'd lose her because the vet said kittens this age are fragile. Vet suggested that I mix the pate into her milk (a lot more milk to pate ratio at this point), and she actually liked that a little better. When she turned 4 weeks old, I switched her to wet food. Thankfully she started growing more after that.

The other challenge was getting her potty trained lol. I was supervising when I first introduced it to her, and she tried to eat it. So after feedings, I just had her stand on the litter as I wiped her bum. She made the connection eventually. The only thing is I think she knows she's supposed to do something after using the potty, but instead of burying her shit, she scratches the litter box. She tries.

She's still learning to be a cat from my other cats, but she's improving. She started kneading on my blanket few months ago, and she grooms her siblings. She also stayed relatively small. (Second photo featuring Luna and KitKat, who's also pretty slim.)

Only concern(?) I have right now is that I think she may have a sensitive stomach because she occasionally vomits when I feed her more budget friendly dry foods. It doesn't happen with more expensive foods. I'll likely bring this up to the vet next time just to be safe.

Shadow is released to a loving family to keep him in check ❤️

I mamaged to get help from someone who runs a dog rescue! She says her neighbor, a widow who lost her cat last year, is willing to take him. I'm a little sad that I had to let him go, but I'm mostly happy that he'll be safe. It was nice having Shadow for a few days though. He's been very cuddly even though he tried to nibble on my hands.

Congratulations, it's a boy!

So I have issues with my landlord. Long story short... 86 yr old white southern woman. Likely has dementia. Hoarder. And people didn't believe me when I said she's a racist. She apparently always left her doors open so when she went to hospice, her dog got ran over. One kitten (sibling) got stuck and died. Other kitten is... well, somewhere. I'm trying to catch it. I never trusted animal control but they're fucking useless and faking empathy.

Anyways this one got lucky. Thankfully my own cats are at temp homes while I'm working this out and get them spayed. This one is a little boy, 5 or 6 weeks old. We took him to the vet for a mini checkup. She prescribed some eye drops and flea/tick meds for fleas. He was little nervous but is currently warming up to us.

So the plan right now is I want to find a rescue and tell them I can foster. But the problem is girlfriend and I are getting a tad attached...

Also we're taking name suggestions.

Does anyone know of a shelter in Atlanta, GA area that allows strays/feral cats without having to go through animal control?

So I'm currently in the east of Atlanta area. I went to go get something from the freezer, which happens to be right by the main door. I hear a meow and look up, and I see a void kitty scratching at the door and meowing at me. I opened the door and it ran a bit, but it kept meowing at me. I turned around to grab some food from one of the rooms and it disappeared on me. I think it wants food, but a little wary of humans like feral cats usually are? Girlfriend (sadly) says no more cats at the moment, but I want to at least try to find it a home.

How to deal with a racist landlord and a homeless man camping out in the backyard

So my girlfriend and I are temporarily living with her distant(?) relative. I think it's her great aunt? Anyways. Problem is great aunt is a 87 yr old white woman and we live in GA. Confirmed to be racist when I (Asian, 30f) went to go get our packages that were delivered to the front door. (We put delivery instructions to have them delivered to the basement door. Amazon of course ignored them.) Great aunt comes out and demands what I'm doing and refuses to give me the packages. I just explained I was trying to get the packages. She flat out told me she "can't understand" me and my girlfriend has to get the packages. So girlfriend went over and the great aunt was all bubbly and giggly. I mean... If she really couldn't understand me, why did she tell me my girlfriend had to get the packages...

Good news is she wants to be left alone for the most part so I don't really have to deal with her. Bad news is my girlfriend is a trucker and is out of the house most of the time, and the great aunt is... very nosy and I think is watching me. She called girlfriend's mom and claimed I got into someone's car and left late at night. I did not, if you're wondering. Unless she got confused when she saw me get my doordash order. But even then I'm not sure why it's any of her business.

And... The other thing. Backyard has a small wooded area. We noticed there's a homeless man who set up s camp out there. Not sure if the landlord knows. Not sure how long he's been living there. We're worried about him potentially causing trouble. We've seen him watching us when we moved in. Considering I already deal with the racist landlord... He just makes me very uncomfortable.

We don't have keys to the basement (can't access through the main part of the house because of the trash) because none of them fit, and we have kitty cats. We're worried about him breaking in and stealing/hurting our cats. Can't exactly change the locks because I highly doubt the landlord would say yes. She won't even exterminate the bugs.

Sooo yeah. I'm not sure if I'm worrying too much. Not sure if it's worth involving the law enforcement, especially since this is a white-majority small town in GA and I'm alone most of the time.

Ear wipe recommendations for a cat

My cat (~1 year old, tabby, female) seems to be aggressively scratching her ears more. I'm trying to find some ear wipes that are safe for cats while we're waiting to take her to the vet, but most products I find on Amazon contain aloe vera or don't list the full ingredients.
