Just binge watched all the episodes and ohmygod what a masterpiece this drama is😵apart from the theatrical beauty all actors are doing a phenomenal job (apart from those particular 2 ofc) . I'm reallyyy invested in the story. I like how it is so different from typical Pakistani dramas and has this tone of intensity and thrill, I suppose the last time I experienced a similar experience was with yeh Dil Mera

I can see the writer trying to build up the story. There isn't any thing that will immediately hook u rn but I can see where this is going. I would love to hear your theories about this

Other than the famous ones that mudassir and bano will 😵 and rabbiya and sarbuland will get married, I feel like sher Dil will be betrayed by sohrab. There are very subtle supporting evidences about this , but the way sher Dil gave responsibility of the tribe to sarbuland and we weren't really shown sohrabs approval etc, also he probably also has a thirst for power since he considers himself older than sarbuland and hence more worthy. I also think that all his loyalty to sher Dil is a facade just to gain his trust, he definitely has some tricks up his sleeve.

What are your theories? I'm honestly so invested I just can't wait to watch all the episodes in one go😩

other than the monetary aspect of it what are some other advantages of doing it from nust? i had always planned to go abroad for undergrad but due to some reasons things didnt work out, i dont quite have an idea about local unis thats why im asking here cus everyone just gives mixed reviews. my family is ready to pay lums fees but its still a hefty amount and with hostel and other charges it sums up to about 1 cr for 4 years

since nust is an equally reputable institute im also considering it, i wanted to ask how is the job market for nust business school grads? ive heard lums grads are high in demand and get very good initial job offers, is the amount saved from lums tuition fees worth it in the long run if i come to nust? i really want to work in big mncs like mckinsey or deloitte

also, how is the social life/ culture specifically in this school? i know since its a bit on the affordable side people from various socioeconomic classes would be there, and that its probably not as vibrant as the campus life in lums but still, are there good experiences waghera in nust? i thrive around people and would like to stay surrounded in and occupied by social activities esp since my family wont be there either

also does anyone know if nust provides any sort of commute? like if i were living in a hostel in e9 or e8 is there any pick and drop service available? also whats the schedule and if i choose to go myself via uber or yango what whould be my estimated cost of conveyence for the month?

one more thing, how tight is the academic rigor? like how much time would i have to dedicate to be in the top 20 percent of the class? is it super competitive generally? i honestly consider myself an above average student but its still challenging for me so i want to be mentally prepared in advance

math s2 also got kealed prematurely, my friend sent me a ss of a qs being shared in a whatsapp group before the exam even took place, i also heard some students talking about how the exam was exactly from the questions they got earlier (from keals) - when i emailed this to british council about a week ago they said that my evidence is not concrete enough since the series title was not visible on the picture of the qs i shared. its great that our voice is being heard in terms of other components, but can we please shed some light on to this one as well? s2 was already extremely difficult and it being available prior to the exam puts us at a further disadvantage

But I run a little and then get tired ie mY breath starts to get heavy and legs can't move etc. But I always feel so refreshed internally after I run. I am going to seriously start my weight loss journey this summer and I wanted to ask to what extent does running actually have an impact? Another issue is that I often fall or trip and due to my weight even minor ankle sprains or twists turn into month long bed rest sessions that put a halt to my overall physical activity which is why I don't want to get on too intense running either. Id usually go to the gym for an hour. Thinking about doing 20-30 mins of running alongside that. And eating junk only once a week or portion control- which is better in ur opinion?

im 17 and i grew up listening to this story in my family, this directly happened with my mother so i know its for real and not made up and they actually experienced this

there was some renovation happening at my nanas place (this was before my mom got married) and there were workers/ laborers in the house, my mom very stupidly left her pouch of gold somewhere very apparent and went outside with the rest of the family.

when they came back ,the pouch was obviously gone and the work was completed that day so the mazdoors werent expected to come back again

my mamoo went to some aalim/peer and he said he had some sort of moqals or idk what and that peer litr pin pointed the location of that particular mazdoor and even his tent, when my mamoo went to that place the people told him he had already left for his gaon or smth but my mamoo caught him on the way and ACTUALLY got the pouch of gold from him

after a few years, we also came to know that that particular peer, who wasnt very old probably in his late 30s, had passed away and there was a rumour that it was actually one of the moqals because their demands get very high with time and it gets hard for humans to fulfill them

i personally dont really beleive in these things and feel that allah swt is the only all knower and only he should be relied on for help but this story gives me chills all the time, do moqals actually exist and help humans with stuuff? what if i want to know something? are there any risks associated for people who dont directly own them but seek help (like my mamoo), is this halal? this concept is still so interesting, i would love to hear more about it just for knowledge purposes

I 17f was randomly going through my brothers (15m) reddit and j remembered a post so I decided to go back to it via history - over there I saw all kinds of things - threads upon threads of 🌽 , it disgusted my to my core

The thing is, the account age was just 2 weeks, my brother doesn't have a personal phone so he uses my parents'. My parents also use reddit occasionally and as far as Ik them, they wouldn't really do such a thing

The chances of it being either of them are just as much as the chances of it being him, his company in the past has been a bit sketchy so I would suspect it's him too

I just saw this reel by raftar about how low wages waiters are usually paid and it ENRAGED me, this is so unfair. Especially for restaurants that charge premium prices and still refuse to pay their waiters the minimum wage, for reference, the national minimum wage by law for Pakistan is 40,000 pkr for 26 days, where each working day is approx 8 hours long.

This is so heartbreaking, is there any thing that we can do as a society to help the people who serve us food? I know we can always tip them generously but 1) that’s not a stable and reliable source of income for them nor is it sustainable in the long run 2) it’s the restaurant’s utmost responsibility to make sure their employees are paid well for their hard work

I know this is an issue prevalent in every sector of our economy, but we can’t just neglect it by saying that’s just how things in Pakistan work, we need to BE better for this country to actually progress

Restaurants like waffle bar and das numberi that seriously overcharge customers are not only exploiting us but their poor workers too, it’s not just about money atp but about social justice

I know the people of Karachi have a big heart, if only, we come together as a community as start calling these “brands” out, it can bring a huge difference, I believe we need to work towards a sustainable solution, it hurts to see fellow citizens struggling to make ends meet even after working 10-12 hour shifts, I’m only 19, I don’t know much that we can do, but I’m looking forward to discussions that can help us figure out how to end this food chain mafia and bring atleast some sort of equity for our brothers
