On low effort days the hawk does what it wants, apparently today's mood is pompadour

(Though I have fond memories of me mates doing it for me in a public restroom)
Ok wow this is bloody difficult on your own though. I struggled with the spike ratios and then of course hit the line where there was too much product to keep messing with it. I'll try again cause I know I can do better, can only learn with practice I guess
Hmu with pointers (lol) if you want
I have become the walking definition of purple hair and pronouns
Sometimes my hair does this if it's damp when I go to bed. One of these days I need to lean into it and style it back swept for real
when do I get my agenda?

I normally have a mohawk so excuse the weird angle. I would usually give my colour full coverage (two rounds of dye) but I like this gradient after just one. I just wanted to give myself a reality check that it doesn't give off "bad dye job"/"half done" before I go out in the world.
Second pic is how it's styled for reference
Every couple months I rebleach the mohawk. I think I feel purple coming on next
Really grateful there's a sub like this! Hello from Melbourne Australia.
It's not a lot but I love a little eye makeup. My eyes also just disappear especially when the hair is blonde unless I shade them.
My hair grows so fast I rebleach it fairly often for the next round of colour
I like the gradient effect it's making
I wore this to a convention and those that got the reference REALLY got it. I loved this moment in Sokka's character development.
I ask a lot of it, especially when society wants me to hate it in one way or other regardless of what I actually do achieve. Their goal posts move. While I want to modify my mobile home so it matches my ideals of it, to improve and adjust and decorate it as I want, I also try to remind myself that I also can allow myself to enjoy what it has to offer in the process as well. If society wants me to hate myself, no matter what I do in their eyes as right or wrong, sometimes my best rebellion is to embrace it as something that will always be changing in some way, as will I, and to flow and dance together sometimes. What brings me joy is mine, and someone else tearing down what brings me joy purely for the sake of making themself feel better isn't about me at all. I will slide. I will flow. I will grow. There are times of shift, strengthening, damage, repair, age, growth, performance, rest. Bodies are always changing. They're supposed to. I dance inside the art of impermanence.
I have a few picked out and I'm curious to see if any of them match
Anything but Kevin or Vincent (iykyk)
Wanted to plug this. Big Kittyhawks fan (local Melbourne ska punks).
From their site
Since losing their lead guitarist, Greg “Swampy” Brown, in November 2025, Melbourne punks Unto the Breach have been determined to turn grief into something positive. Swampfest was born from that desire—a way to honour Swampy’s memory while raising vital funds for The Black Dog Institute.
What started as a small idea quickly grew into something much bigger. Favours were called in, friends stepped up, and now 10 of Melbourne’s most bodacious bands are donating their time to create one unforgettable day of live music at The Workers Club. Headlined by ska punk favourites The Kittyhawks and featuring Forklift Assassins, Judo CHOP! All Hope Remains, Keggin and more, the lineup spans punk, psychobilly, ska, rock and metal, with something for everyone. Every band is performing for free so every dollar raised supports research, education and better mental health outcomes for Australians.
Most of us know someone whose life has been touched by mental illness. For many of us, it’s deeply personal. Swampfest is a chance to stand together, celebrate the people we’ve loved, support those still struggling, and remind each other that no one has to face it alone.
Come for the music. Stay for the community. Make some noise, celebrate Swampy’s life, and help turn loss into hope.
To be in tune with nature and my body is absolute freedom for me. To dance with the wind and the sea. I hope you find what makes you flow, or already have. You deserve joy as well.
(If I look cranky that's my natural resting face. I felt absolutely amazing).

New here. I painted this before being diagnosed. When I posted it online five years ago, a lot of the DID community said "HEY HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT..." and three years later I (we) got formally diagnosed by a specialist psychiatrist.
Ink on paper. Prints available.
Image description: A monotone painting of a moonlit scene. What appears to be mountains is on closer inspection actually a huge number of piles and piles of masks. A human figure with long hair, wearing a long coat and tall boots, sits in the foreground on one of the piles, holding a smiling mask. They have no face, just a white scribble. In the middle distance, the word "selfless" is visible by the lack of ink bordered by masks.

No really!
I see this a lot and your mileage may vary but hear me out. Especially if you're pre T and have a round face.
We think that being masc and not smiling means going slack jawed - but don't think about how the tongue has a role too. In these two shots (I'm literally just on my couch vibing so just ignore if you think I don't pass im only talking about the jaw)
First one is slack tongue. Other is tongue on palate. (Also if you snore this could help you sleep better).
Keeping the tongue on the palate gives you a defined jawline and stronger chin. A slack tongue gives you a rounded chin, rounded lips and a weird mouth shape that looks tense and uncomfortable. To me at least, I can spot this unnatural not-smile as a kind of, not a tell per se, but maybe an unconscious expression of anxiety.
I hope trying this out helps someone out there. It's obviously going to depend on your face shape in general.
Edit to add: comments suggest experimenting with tongue posture as a factor in presentation is more important than which way is "right" because that's going to depend on which is "right for you"
Put Crestus up this week. Liking the holographic kinda vibe for how my intermittent bleaching fades out
Just wanted to share the joy of how amazing a simple singlet felt with a decent binder.
And the gig 'fit for fun
