bonus: coming from manaoag, paano babalik sa baguio? what do i have to ride para pumuntang terminal?

may family friend kaming diehard DDS

TL;DR close friend ni mama + anak niya bumisita saamin circa 2016. turns out diehard DDS sila (even yung anak). forgot about them years later. found out recently na DDS pa din sila but worse.

way back 2015-2016, may pumunta sa bahay namin na mag-ina. living in a place na madalas dinadayo ng mga turista parang hindi naman out of the ordinary saakin na may biglang dadating galing probinsya na biglang kamaganak or kaibigan ni mama. apparently parang friend of a friend ata tong nanay and napadayo lang sila saamin para mag bakasyon bago sila mag abroad. yung nanay kasi is may ka LDR na afam sa netherlands.

from what i remember, madali lang kaming nagkasundo nung anak netong friend ni mama. almost magkaedad kami at that time so naturally puro laro at kagaguhan kami. pero parang out of the blue, nagiging weird na yung mga kwento netong batang kalaro ko. biglang puro about kay duterte?? hindi ko sure if tumira sila sa davao or parang umiikot lang na propaganda at that time (height of the presidential elections), pero lahat ng sinasabi netong bata saakin is sinasabi din ng mama niyang diehard DDS pala 😭 word for word na sinasabi nung kalaro ko is sinasabi din nung nanay niya sa mama ko 😭😭😭

unfortunately, isa sa mga bumoto kay duterte is ang nanay ko. malakas naging influence netong friend niya. we all know how that turned out for us 😓 mas naging politically involved ako as i grew older, specially when i was a teen during the 2022 elections. nanay ko naman turned neutral pero mas open naman siya sa communication more than ever before. onti onti ko nang nakalimutan yung mag ina na dumayo saamin.... until nag appear sa facebook "people you may know" ko.

to my horror, DDS pala rin sila. and not just any DDS sa pinas... sila yung mga nagaabang sa harap ng the hague mismo at sumasamba sa karton. naikwento ko lang sa nanay ko the other day and confirmed talaga na sobrang involved pa din nila. nainterview pa daw yung friend niya sa news and kachat pa daw niya si HARRY ROQUE. it just so happens din na nakatira sila malapit sa the hague and almost everyday sila doon... searched her name on google out of curiosity and found her very involved din in troll posts. bakit iisang uri lang sila? 😅😅

ewan lang, sobrang na shock lang ako to know na people like this actually really exist. mas shocked ako sa fact na i actually personally know someone na ganon. gusto pa ni mama pag umuwi sila ng pinas is papuntahin saamin 😭 sabi ko talaga aalis ako ng bahay kapag nangyari yun hahahha.

people can do whatever the hell they want pero i see this as a lost cause. 'yang "fanbase" na yan was built on lies by the people with blood on their hands. ang masasabi ko lang is:

let him rot! and justice will prevail for the victims of EJK!

clay monoprint

couldn't post this on the printmaking subreddit because apparently it wasn't "printy" enough but has anyone here ever tried mitch lyon's clay monoprint technique? he basically takes a slab of wood and layers coats and coats of clay (white china powder or porcelain powder based) colored with ceramic pigments. overtime the clay just sits on top of the slab until it's "leathery dry" to be used again for another print. over time the slab would just get thicker and thicker. i feel like it would be cool to throw it on the wheel afterwards but i digress. i just wanted to see if anyone has any knowledge about this or has tried this.

camp johnhay water

almost everyday nawawalan ng tubig, kapag nagkakaroon ganito ang kulay haha. safe pa kaya to at this point? sobrang perwisyo. you advertise your homes as "luxury" homes and yet ganito ang pamamalakad niyo. nagbabayad nang maayos mga tao dito almost ₱₱₱₱₱₱ per month. kahit anong coordinate namin sa management ganito pa din. may iba pa bang nakaka experience nito sa ibang parts ng baguio?

edit: we've done everything to coordinate with BCDA. we even have a groupchat for homeowners and admins only as well as a monthly homeowners assoc. meeting. kahit hindi lang kami yung nag cocomplain about sa tubig wala pa din nagagawa. people from balibago waterworks and BAWADI have gone in and out our neighborhood pero hindi pa din naaayos. wala nanamang tubig ngayon as we speak. advice saamin ng BCDA bumili daw ng water supply tank para yun na lang daw yung pupunuin if ever mawalan ng tubig. papatayo kami ng water tank with the money from our own pockets dahil lang sa negligence nila? so absurd.

awake for 4 hours, asleep for 20

i am 19 with chronic depression and bipolar disorder. i've been sleeping nonstop for a week straight. i would go to bed at 8am everyday and then sleep until 8-9pm. i would wake up in between and then go back to sleep until very early in the AM. i've also been feeling my jaw shaking or parts of my body going painfully numb after putting pressure on it for not even a minute (my legs falling asleep instantly after sitting with them crossed). i'm in college and my semester had ended a week ago. i'm trying to get all the sleep i could possibly have but i had no idea i would be sleeping for almost 20 hours a day. it's taken an even bigger toll on my mental health not being able to get up and do things because i constantly feel fatigued or dizzy. i can't even go to a doctor about this because i've been asleep so much. are there any vitamins i could take to combat this or anything i should be worried about?

hi! i have my college admissions coming up soon and have 5 slots in my current portfolio (5 out of ten). the criteria is as follows:

optionally 10 two dimensional works in traditional media (painting, drawing, non-digital print, collage, etc.) which i already have 4

maximum of 4 sculptural works (i already have one in the bag)

a few slots left! just wondering what's everyone's favorite subjects and medium (preferably mixed media). i hate sticking to a blank sheet of paper, so go wild with your suggestions! would also love to hear people share some of their resources for art inspo (except pinterest). maybe places you go to make art or certain movies you watch to stay inspired. thanks a bunch!

kitty broke our brand new tv (not even a week old). we are currently paying off credit card debt over this 😓 can't get mad at that face though lol

no unsolicited advice sana (blaming, "hindi na magagawa yan", etc.) that's kind of the last thing i need ngayon 😅 i'm just looking for empathy and a little support sana

backstory lang, binenta ko yung nintendo switch ko sa isang friend for 5k. pinagipunan ko ng malala yun yung hs pero at this point it was time to let go na kasi iba na hobbies ko and nawawalan na ako ng time for gaming. i was really sad but tried to look forward to ano pwede kong bilin sa 5k na pinagbentahan ko. naisipan ko bigla na sakto, bibili na lang ako ng tv kasi wala kaming tv sa bahay and it would be a fun way to bond with my mom din.

if a parent dies (for me, my dad) and may property siya na sure kang nakapangalan sakanya (car) do you have the right na mailipat sayo yung property na yun?

my dad died in 2024 (first and only family but legally annulled). may car siyang binili pre covid. his family is very involved sa buhay namin. when he passed hindi ako kinausap ng family niya kung anong gagawin pero they reassured me na responsibility pa rin nilang pag aralin ako through college. they stopped supporting me last year kasi pinipilit nila ako sa program na ayaw ko and i was just wondering if it was possible pa rin na kahit yung kotse manlang is makuha ko? now i'm working 2 jobs to make ends meet and the car would be useful to use or to sell. i asked about the car in the past out of curiosity although i feel like iniisip nila na naghahabol ako kaya ang sabi nila is nakapangalan daw yung kotse sa tita ko (very suspicious kasi afaik si papa ang bumili and the only person that drives it).

medjo nababalutan ako ng takot pero i know na it would be more unfair na hindi ipaglaban yung karapatan ko. kasi my father's family is rich RICH. i'm sure they could alter paperwork and hire the best lawyers for this. they're the type of people din that would buy a car just for fun on a random day and not feel such a huge loss. i feel like they are only keeping my dad's car for sentiment lang rather than it having a real purpose. i believe if i had the opportunity to sell it it could put me through college, or if i had the opportunity to use it it would help me get around easier din.

anyone here have a recipe or recommendation for an air dry clay recipe that is not cold porcelain (cornstarch, glue, etc)? i keep coming across cold porcelain recipies and despite it being cost effective and being a breeze to just whip up in the kitchen, i genuinely hate the process of sculpting with it because it tends to wash out all my details as it dries. commercial air dry clay is great but expensive in bulk. i need something sturdy, could be made in bulk, and cost effective for a broke art student. drop down some recommendations in the comments

(picture for attention, used commercial air dry clay)

edit: thank you for the suggestions but i need to put an emphasis on DIY. something i could make myself at home and not buy.
