Check engine light came on and car wouldnt reverse
So I just had a new issue that's never happened to me before. I was idling in a parking lot for 15min in my 2014 Dodge Dart Rallye, 52k miles, automatic transmission. I switched to reverse to back out and drive away, and when I pressed on the gas, instead of reversing it didn't respond at all and instead slowly rolled forward into the curb. The check engine light came on. I put it back into park, turned it off and back on again, and this time it reversed and there was no check engine light. Any idea what might've caused this, if it'll happen again, and how much it might cost to fix?

Do you guys think I should see a doctor about my back pain?
So a few years ago, I woke up with this sensation of something in my upper right back/shoulder slipping out of place. Along with that sensation came pain so excruciating that I couldn't move without being completely winded and unable to breathe due to the pain. I laid in bed for a day and it mostly went back to normal, but now once or twice a month, if I move just wrong, I get the same sensation again. It's usually when I reach all the way to the right side while facing forward, like as an example, when I have a bag of french fries sitting in the passenger seat of my car and I reach over to grab a fry to eat while I'm driving. For about a minute or two I'll get that same sensation and pain, and then it goes away. What might be causing this and should I go see a doctor?
How to stop paranoid thoughts?
So I have been having issues with paranoia lately. I'm aware that I'm just being paranoid, but they continue happening despite awareness. When I'm at work, if I hear coworkers whispering near me, I think they're whispering about me. If I hear them laughing, I think they're laughing at me. If I see two people talking in the distance and they look my way, I think they're talking about me. I'm always worried about being fired. When I go for evening walks, I'm constantly worried that someone is gonna like, run me over, or walk up and assault me or something. I think some of it stems from past experiences, while some of it stems from looking at negative news too much. Some of it might come from a mental illness, but I haven't been officially diagnosed with anything but depression and anxiety. How can I stop these thoughts?
Why am I able to remember music better than anything else in my life?
I have hundreds of songs memorized, both lyrics and melodies, and I'm able to recall them within the first few notes even after a decade of having not listened to them. But for the life of me, I can't remember something I said or did last week. Why is my memory so selective like this?
For the past 5 years I had no clue that I'd been using my PC's integrated GPU instead of my 3060Ti 😭
I'm so frustrated, for the past year my computer has been having graphical issues and I couldn't figure out what was causing it and I started thinking my graphics card was failing. Last night I was looking at memes and came across one showing an HDMI cable plugged into the upper left port on the back of a PC, just like how mine is. I read the comments and realize that, for the past 5 years, MY MONITOR HAS BEEN PLUGGED INTO MY MOTHERBOARD. This whole time I've been using the INTEGRATED GPU INSTEAD OF MY 3060TI. I had no clue that there was a difference between the HDMI ports on the back. And somehow my integrated GPU was still able to play Cyberpunk at respectable settings lmao. Glad that my issue is fixed but holy crap I feel like such a dumbass lmao, could've saved myself so many headaches
My terrible, horrible, no good, very bad month
The last month has SUCKED. It has been like 10 different things, one after the next. First my taxes got messed up and I owe $1341 to the IRS. Then, my driver's side window broke and won't go down. Next, I accidentally hit a curb and shaved off some of my tire wall and may need to replace it at some point. Then on the way to work one morning, my entire brake system failed. I had to spend another $1339 replacing all 4 brake pads and rotors, 2 calipers and a brake line. Then I got a $200 medical bill. Then I had to go get an oil change, and they did a free inspection where they found another $2000+ of repairs that need to be done at some point, including all my shocks and struts since my struts are beginning to leak. This is after my blower motor stopped working (no ac/heat), my radio doesn't work at all, and my keyfob is broken, so I already had $1000+ in repairs needing to be done. Then my cat got an ingrown claw and I had to spend $200 taking her into the vet. That morning as I was getting her ready, I found blood in her litterbox. I've had a couple very expensive urinary tract blockages with my male cat so I was worried it might be that, so I spent the whole weekend watching her and luckily it seems like it's just a UTI. With all of this I had to apply for a credit limit and then max out that new limit immediately, as well as take out a $1000 advance from my work that I'm slowly paying back. Oh and my therapist has cancer in two places. I haven't been able to vent to my friend since he's going through his own terrible month too and I don't wanna add to his stress. I'm ready for this series of unfortunate events to be done...
An assortment of random funny/scary/interesting stories from my childhood
One time me and a friend climbed onto his neighbor's roof and we tore the shingles off before his neighbor came out and yelled at us.
Another time when I was 13 I got into a fight with a kid and he hit me over the head with his skateboard.
When I was 10 or 11 I cut my arm wide open climbing a fence and needed tons of stitches.
One time I was at my grandmas farm and me and my cousins were playing tag on top of the haybales. I stood too close to the edge on one and it broke out from under my foot. I fell 12 feet onto packed dirt and landed on the back of my head and was somehow totally okay.
There was one time me and my friend almost got kidnapped- we saw a car slowly following us, so we ran into an alleyway connected to my backyard and hopped the fence while we heard the tires of the car following us squealing as he sped away.
When I was a kid I used to be a little entrepreneur. I did fundraisers. I made custom hand-sewn felt pillows made to look like underwater coral reefs. I collected pokemon cards and had a shop on ebay with my mom where we sold the duplicates and wound up collecting over 2000 unique gen1-gen5 cards before finally selling it all for $2000. And I had a kool-aid stand with a sign I painted myself and I sold $40 worth in one summer.
I also tried lots of cool things as a kid. On top of my entrepreneurial stuff, I played violin for a year, and I also tried taekwando for a year.
When I was in high-school I went on two different choir trips. One trip we spent a week in New York, and the other trip I spent 2 weeks traveling across Europe with a university honor choir. We visited France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. I still have pictures if anyone would like to see.
When I was 12 I went to our local amusement park with my parents. I rode the "octopus" which had you sitting in this chair that spun and went up and down while the entire machine also spun. I threw up all over a couple of girls my age.
When I was 7 or 8 I went to a renfair with my family and got to pet a baby tiger.
My family had lots of different pets throughout my childhood. Most interesting was a huge 90 gallon bow front tank filled with over a hundred hermit crabs.
On the very first day of second grade I fell off the monkey bars and shattered my right wrist. Then when the doctor was cutting the cast with the cast saw, he let the saw heat up too much and gave me a permanent burn scar down the length of my arm. Speaking of scars, when I was 3, I tried to grab my dog by the collar and he bit my arm and left me with a scar. My right arm is covered in childhood scars.
One time on the way to school my mom got rear-ended by a classmate who was texting while driving. I must've been in a state of shock because instead of doing the logical thing of staying in the car and waiting for the police, I told my mom "I'm gonna be late!" and got out and ran the rest of the way to school lmao
In my junior year, I promposed to a girl. She was a pokemon fan so I got a pokeball, put a stemless rose inside with a card that asked if she'd go to prom with me, and gave it to her during lunch in the middle of the lunch room. She said yes and a bunch of classmates cheered. But looking back on it, I have a feeling she only said yes because she felt pressured by all the eyes on her.
Used to have a collection of over 2500 gen1-gen5 pokemon cards, but I sold it for $2000 several years ago. All of the Pokemon collectibles I kept from my childhood
Last year I pre-ordered a figurine and paid in full for it. It ships in July. Since shipping has gone through the roof this year, should I expect an additional charge when it ships?
