I’m posting this here because no one IRL will get that this is an amazing anniversary gift. Most people would expect him to get me something boring like fancy jewelry. After I cut them out, I cut the back off and flipped it over so their portrait was on the back. Then I brought them all on our anniversary trip. Last night, we went to a theme park Halloween festival. I took Luna in my ITA bag so I could snap a few spooky photos of her.

People have pointed out that Shai seems to get restocked online at about the same time every night. But it’s hard to know when, because people don’t specify the time zone. For anyone who’s bought Shai at the wee hours of the morning, can you tell me when you bought her and what time zone you’re in (or what time zone it would be in New York City time)? I’m a night owl. Sometimes I stay up until 3 AM. But I forget to check (thanks ADHD) and so want to set a reminder to myself to look late at night.

I’m very fortunate to have one Shai already. I got lucky and grabbed the last one in stock at my local Target when she was first released. But I’ve been dreaming of giving Shai a ginger-haired sister since she was released. So I’d love to buy another one online if I can.

Doll customizing is my stress relief. My dad was unexpectedly hospitalized for heart failure. He had multiple blood clots in his lungs and leg, enough to cause heart failure. I flew down the day they discharged him to take care of him. The nearest Target had Blaze and black Rit dye in stock. Couldn’t resist soaking her hair in Rit to get a gothy Blaze. I painted her boots black, gave her some tats and a black LOL OMG guitar. I like how she turned out , but I feel like she could use a septum or nose piercing. Anyone know how to give her one? Her head’s too hard to use Barbie piercing hacks.

Michaels is selling miniature glass greenhouse terrariums in the Halloween floral section. I got one to display plant and related miniatures, as I didn’t like the greenhouse spaces kit.

Has anyone displayed their minis in one of these and would like to share? Also, I’d love ideas on easy DIY backless or clear-backed shelves to place against each wall. Normally, I repurpose small boxes or stack little wooden crates to create quick doll shelves. But having an opaque back kind of defeats the purpose of having a see-through display. I want to be able to put shelves against the wall and be able to see their contents from all angles.

Putting together some restyles and mini verse kits to say goodbye to the summer. I’m not much of a beach person, but I do like the excuse to drink big fruity drinks :)

I can’t resist repainting plastic accessories. A little bit of metallic paint goes a long way. :) The “hellhound” is a repaint of the dog from Bratz Kylie Jenner.

Also, someone asked about my refurbished plastic MH couch, so I added some photos of that.

Her pale lips also looked a little off to me. I painted her lips to match her fiery color scheme. The nails are black with blue-violet dragonfly glaze topcoat.

I looked out for a souvenir space shuttle when I went to the air and space museum, too. And I found one with her name. It goes perfectly with her outfit!

When the Skullector Shining Twins re-release sold out in three minutes, my lovely husband bought The Shining Twins Living Dead Dolls for my birthday so I could use the dresses for an RH take on the characters. I used two Amayas from different lines so they’d look like identical twins but different people, and dyed their hair very bark brown with an alternating rounds of dark brown and cocoa brown. Everything but the dresses are RH clothes. I just painted the Creative Crystals loafers black.

The girls have arrived in Paris! Bella has never been great at packing light. But they still had room for their dogs. Violet’s giant pockets helped. They double as dog carriers.

* the background is foam board with hot glue crown molding I made using silicone fondant cake frosting molds to give the room a baroque vibe
* the paintings are from Mini Brands Masterpiece.
* the sideboard clutter is mostly miniverse stuff

Gorgeous Kia’s outfit didn’t do her justice. So I gave her Luna from Mirror Mi’s dress. Bella got her corset added to her outfit. I actually love the dogs and I’m not sure why they got more hate than Pinky Paige’s dog that uses the same mold 🤣

I’ve been restyling my girls with Rainbow High and LOL OMG clothes. But I haven’t figured out what glasses will fit them. Barbie glasses seem too small.

I always bring a couple dolls with me whenever I’m on work travel without a car. And as a crafter, I often MacGuyver my own little craft kits from random stuff at the stores near my hotel. This bed is a jewelry box. The floral pattern and lace are from a pretty hair turban I got at TJ Maxx. The wallpaper is a striped gift bag from Target and the baseboards are coffee stirrers from my hotel room. Target had miniverse balls, so I got my girl Amora some snacks for her “room.”

Just wanted to share how great Luna looks in this LOL OMG outfit. I believe this is from Miss Royale. The light blue and acid green color scheme really compliments her hair and shoes.

Has anyone customized or has tips on how to customize the Monster High Boo-Tique hotel? I bought it on a whim because it was soooo cheap this week. But I don’t know much about it. One of my favorite hobbies is making doll furniture and other props look less plastic and more realistic. For example, in this photo, I covered a Monster High couch with those black velvet flocking sheets typically used to create jewelry boxes. Then I painted the claw feet gold to look more like metal hardware.

Has anyone made mods like this to the Boo-Tique hotel or a similar folding dollhouse? Or do you know of a social media post or YouTube video where someone modded the Boo-Tique hotel? Usually I research products and create a customization plan before buying. But I didn’t want to wait because it was so heavily clearanced.

A few more photos of Corrine Parker, Bella Parker’s mom that I made out of a Purple-Eyed WC & C for the June Wedding restyle challenge. Somehow she just looks like a Corrine. Maybe because she reminds me of the mom from Flowers in the Attic. 🤣 if you look really closely, you can faint age lines I added to the corners of her eyes and forehead.

For the outfit, I added adhesive pearl “buttons” and removed most of the tinsel from Bella’s Jackie Kennedy style suit. It’s paired with Sheryl’s white button down. Is it just me, or does Bella’s outfit look way more mature with most of the tinsel removed?

There’s no port to plug the amp cord into the guitar. It’s just solid plastic. My first instinct is to file a claim with MGA. However, I’m kinda sad because they usually send a random product from the same line instead of a direct replacement part. Does anyone know if they send actual replacement parts for the Miniverse Spaces rooms, or do they just send you a random room?

This sucks because the guitar was what I was most excited about :(
