Genuine question to cashiers

One time while using a hand basket, I started unpacking it on the conveyor belt thingy and the cashier said “oh don’t worry! It’s easier for me if you leave everything in the basket” and I was like okay great will do!
Earlier today I was using a hand basket and I thought well, let me do the same thing since the other cashier preferred it and I thought I was doing something cool lol.
But this time the cashier side-eyed me and then told the bagger “one sec…” and completely unpacked my basket all around the checkout area and then scanned each item laid out just like that, instead of one by one as he took it out of the basket.
I guess i’m just curious if I did something wrong and if I should just stick to unpacking my basket in the future? lol

Working on the draft at this restaurant and the drips from the taps made a sort of palette. Who can guess which beer styles they are?
