She was free, but missing whiskers. Would you have taken her even with no whiskers?

I washed her up for my kid. She’s so cute. Wish she had whiskers!

No shinies in months. Anyone else?

I used to get one every couple weeks. It’s been two months for me now. Bad luck? I do a sleep session every night.

Opinions on TY beanie babies?

My kid has been loving these, and I’ve had so much fun hunting for these at the thrift! Here are some of our favorite recent thrift finds. They are so nostalgic for me! I have kept a few for display that I remember from my childhood including freckles, zip, chip, twigs and peanut

I don’t feel like I deserve to feel overwhelmed some days.

I have a 3 year old, and I feel guilty even saying I’m burned out because I love my kid more than anything. Im so grateful to be a SAHM.

I work a few days a month. and my husband works a ton. which allows me to stay home. I don’t take that for granted, but I also feel a real sense of indebtedness because his income is what makes this possible.

Lately though, I’ve been feeling extremely overwhelmed. On top of parenting, I’ve been helping my aging parents with serious health issues, so I’m out of the house for that once or twice a week. There’s almost no downtime in my week.

Today was especially hard. I was trying to cook dinner after grocery shopping and my kid was having nonstop tantrums, asking for things while I was cooking, cleaning, and putting everything away. My kid is in a phase where if she doesn’t get what she wants, she screams and melts down.

I got completely overstimulated and defeated.

I keep telling myself I shouldn’t feel this way because I only have one child and I get to do fun things with her all the time/i get to stay home with her, but I still feel stretched thin. My siblings have multiple kids, and sometimes I feel judged for struggling with just one.

I’ve also started feeling like I’m losing myself a bit. I don’t really have hobbies right now, while my husband has his own interests and downtime during work where he can relax or focus on things he enjoys. At home, I handle almost everything: cooking, cleaning, groceries, appointments, packing lunches, all of it.
I love my daughter deeply and I’m proud to be her mom. I just feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, and like I have very little time to recharge or feel like myself right now.

Sorry this got so long.

Was I out of line for asking my neighbor to please close their windows?

I own my home, and we’ve had ongoing issues with our renter neighbors’ 4 dogs barking excessively, including past late-night barking near our bedroom. Recently, while we were in our backyard just trying to enjoy the nice weather, the dogs were barking at us repeatedly through their open window for a long stretch of time. For about 4 hours off and on. It was super loud as if they were right up against the fence.
My husband politely went over and asked if they could keep the window closed when the dogs are reacting like that, since it was making it hard to enjoy our yard. The neighbor got very defensive and said it was “harassment.” Were we out of line for saying something, or is this just normal neighbor conflict?

Also sadly we live in homes super close together. We are hoping to move within the next 6 months-year..

Anyone living in a home that’s not their ideal home but stay put because shits too expensive

My starter home is small, I’m trying to declutter but it’s tough. I’m tempted to move on but I’d be doubling my mortgage.

My husband and I. Any big issues?

Husband is in red. We have a happy marriage but I do sometimes feel he isn’t great at communicating his needs. Also I have a lot of anxiety that I’m working through from my childhood upbringing and he’s supportive of me but it can cause tension or me overthinking problems in life and causing unnecessary arguments.

Let’s see your most loved jellies 🩵 🩷

This is my huge lazulia dragon and medium bashful petal bunny. Got lazulia on release last year and she’s been my sleep buddy ever since. I do have an extra as a display so I feel less bad about how rough she’s starting to look lol.
