i saw a clip where a dude sharpened his weapon while mounted. he could keep moving and sharpening at the same time. my mind was BLOWN.

Magnamalo carted me twice before i could finish him off. then started thinking to myself "if i'm having this much trouble in a 3 star quest, how am i gonna fare when elders eventually show up?" i ask you to give me tips and tricks, especially from the fellow switch axe users. would like to get better at this game.

took a year break from for honor. decided to give it a whirl again because i missed playing sohei.

suddenly the game's not running well anymore. now i don't have the beefiest, the strongest PC in the world. but my trusty 3060ti laptop with 32 gbs of RAM could run this game without issues. wouldn't see BELOW 120 FPS.

now i can't see ABOVE 60 FPS. sometimes it even shits itself, goes even further down like 10. what the fuck is going on here? i'm not gonna act like laptops are the greatest option to run games and mine's not getting older but don't we think this is kinda ridiculous? i know folks in ubisoft are getting a hot dog and a watered down sprite for a budget for this game but when exactly did we throw optimization out of the window?

holy fucking shit. old timers weren't kidding when they called Strive a watered down, basic version of Guilty Gear.

this game is fucking crazy. no matter what character you play, there's a lot to add into the account here. insane air combos, tons of specials, gatlings, whatever the hell Force Breaks are, RC cancel windows, stun build-ups...

and then there's the gravity scale. fym i have to memorize combos specific to the character i'm fighting against? i don't have the best memory man and i already suck at fighting games. and you're telling me i have to press different buttons for air combos if i'm fighting, say, Potemkin?

this game is absolutely awesome though, having a BLAST. every character is way more unique than how they are in Strive. sure, Strive has absolutely gimmicky characters like HC, Asuka or Goldlewis but this game is something else. even entry level characters like Sol has at least some degree of learning curve. can't even fathom trying I-No or Chipp (from what i understand this dude is batshit insane, whether you play as him or play against him).

that being said, holy mother of backyard this game is broken. i thought i LOATHED May until i faced her in this game. or Millia, or Anji, or fukkin JOHNNY. how were you old timers even dealing with these shits. i take all of the beast blaming i have done in Strive. these guys way more tamed in the modern era, god damn. having the time of my life out here but i absolutely DREAD buying this on Steam and going in online. neither my soul or my body are ready for that.

this game rules also baiken is way hotter in this game, those who disagree are more than welcome to fucking fight me

haven't seen an ounce of the hate wave i have seen when Jam was first released. true, he does crazy damage, he can literally nuke you but he's no Sol or Slayer. he has to be in the right condition to do so. you can be decently offensive but without spending electric gauge or tension there isn't much point to it anyway.

his buttons aren't too bullshit blazing either. 5H and 2S are impressive, 6P is VERY horizontal (just like his old 6P), 6H is easily blockable unless you have the reaction speed of an empty water bottle. 2D is subpar because of how minus it leaves you if you don't cancel it into a special (and you WILL).

his best mix-up option, Beautiful S-KY Today, is just a worse I-No hoverdash because you need to spend electricity. BnB combos? spend electricity. you want your punch super (What's Useless Will Always Be So) to deal a shitton of damage? cough up your entire electricty buddy.

you have to constantly go back and forth between the options of spend resource or build resource. you'll interrupt your own offense just to throw a 22H and trust me, you'll be throwing this puppy a lot. or go for your command grab and risk being predicted and then punished.

after the releases of pieces of shit like Unika, Lucy and Jam; this man feels like a breath of fresh air. he's so fun to play AND play against. now let's see how they handle Raven (PLEASE DAISUKE I NEED THIS MY RAVEN IS KINDA HOMELESS)
