I see IAD to New Orleans, one way, on October 15th but no return flight. Is this normal? Or as we get closer to the month, will they list return flights? Other suggestions for DC to NOLA? United is like $900 round trip... 👎
Any recs on cheap airlines that are semi-reliable? or other airports to try nearby? It would be out of DCA or IAD.
Curious to see what the trend is here. My dad is 83 and his wife is 73 - she has stage 5D. She's declining quickly (she was diagnosed last year). We all see it, yet he continues to try to handle it all himself. There is no sense of urgency to get her moved into a memory care center. She now has incontinence, can't use a phone, can't use the remote, wears clothes in to shower and has gotten very anxious if she can't find him in the house. He is exhausted and overwhelmed, and never gets time to himself (obviously). We've talked to him about looking NOW for memory care before it gets REALLY bad and dangerous, yet he's still holding on. QUESTION: Do you find that women married to a husband w/ dementia act more swiftly, have less denial, move things along quickly to get him moved? Do you find that men move less slow and are more paranoid to put their wife with dementia into a center? I think if roles were reversed, she would have already had him set up somewhere. Thanks for your input.
