Completed a sidequest in Amsterdam today: Ringing the De poezenboot (floating cat boat) doorbell. Creating a list of sidequests everyone should try in Amsterdam

Found a floating cat sanctuary in Amsterdam today and genuinely felt like I’d unlocked a sidequest in a video game. You literally find this random houseboat, ring the doorbell, and step into a world where rescued cats casually live on water like this is completely normal civic infrastructure 😭Only Amsterdam.

Now I’m curious what are other random Amsterdam sidequests everyone should try at least once? Not the usual tourist stuff.

More like weird hidden spots, bizarre local rituals, oddly specific experiences, chaotic little adventures, tiny moments you randomly remember years later

Trying to build the Amsterdam sidequest list.

Would love to hear yours.

Completed a sidequest in San Francisco today: Sliding down Seward street slides built for adults. What are other SF sidequests everyone should try?

Found these weird hidden concrete slides in San Francisco today (apparently built for adults..) and genuinely felt like I’d just completed a sidequest in a game.

You have to bring cardboard to actually slide properly, which somehow makes the whole thing even more fun.

Now I’m curious, what are other random San Francisco sidequests everyone should try at least once?

Not the usual tourist stuff.

More like small oddly specific things:

• hidden spots

• weird city rituals

• niche local experiences

• places with chaotic energy

• tiny moments you randomly remember years later

Trying to build a list of SF sidequests.

Would love to hear yours.

We always hear stories about the hidden UCLA tunnels but most people have never even talked about it properly.

A staff member said they’d be willing to take a small group through for a legit tour this Sunday evening.

Thinking of organizing a casual sidequest where we:

- See the "hidden" tunnels

- check out known tunnel spots / entrances

- Get in and explore the tunnels safely

- hear stories people know

- meet other curious people

- do one of the most random UCLA things possible

- Then walk to Diddy Riese to end the day with ice cream. 😊

If enough people are interested, I’ll organize it.

Would anyone be down?👉👈
