What were some unique, rarely heard stories from the Titanic?

The one I like the best, because it ended up with a positive ending, was the story of first-class passenger Richard Norris Williams II. He was a tennis champion that spent a lot of his time on board in the squash court. As the Titanic was sinking, he and his father jumped from the ship into the freezing water. Sadly, one of the falling funnels crushed his father, but the resulting wave washed Richard toward one of the collapsible lifeboats. He clung to side initially but was eventually pulled inside. He spent the rest of time until rescue in knee-deep freezing water in the lifeboat.

After rescue, doctors on board the Carpathia recommended immediate amputation due to his severely frostbitten legs. He refused. He spent the remainder of his time on board dragging himself up to the deck every two hours to walk, forcing circulation back to his legs. He eventually made a full recovery. He went on to win the US National Tennis Championships later that same year, and won a gold medal at the 1924 Olympics.

Arkansas was recently ranked last for LGBTQ rights and equality. But the gay folks in Arkansas are still here and we represent regardless. Here's a photo from the Fayetteville Arkansas Pride Parade. We had roughly 50,000 attendees.

I'm not one for superhero type shows, but I love period dramas and nior style. I gave Spider-Nior a chance because of great ratings and Nicholas Cage. So far I am not disappointed.

Besides lower prices and increasing quality, if US McDonald's wanted to bring in some customers they should try introducing a line of the greatest international food hits for US consumers to try out.

They tried something like this back in 2019. But I never saw any different menu items at my local McDonald's restaurants during that time. Apparently, it only lasted a few weeks and was highly regional where it was available. They should try a true nationwide roll-out like they did with the Big Arch.

But some McShaker Fries with different seasonings like Tzatziki, Peri Peri, Ramen, Spicy Lime, or Truffle.

Or, McSpicy Chicken, A heavily battered, exceptionally crispy chicken thigh fillet with an intense, fiery kick. The Tsukimi Burger, a beef patty, cheese, a fried egg, bacon, and a special creamy sauce. The Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger features a quarter pounder beef patty with thick-cut bacon, slivered onions, Gouda cheese, and a smoky McBacon sauce.

Feeling alone and isolated as a masculine gay man and I felt askgaybros was the best place to post

Hello all, I'm just wanting to vent some frustrations. This feels like literally the only place appropriate to do so. It feels uncomfortable to bring this subject up elsewhere within our community. I don't want to offend. I'm just tired of feeling isolated within society at large, but even more disheartening is being isolated within our community.

I'm a pretty traditionally masculine gay guy. And sometimes, when I look at the media or pride events, I feel like I don't really fit into the dominant gay culture. Honestly, it's why I discovered this subreddit. My POV didn't feel welcome elsewhere within our community, maybe it was somewhat tolerated, but not understood or embraced.

I know our community is a massive spectrum made up of many different expressions, but sometimes it feels like masculine gay guys are an "other" within our community, which, in turn, is considered an "other" by society overall. It feels like we aren't accepted by either.

Whoever Designed the Logo for Crystal Bridges Stole it from the Fake Restaurant "Bridges" in Mrs. Doubtfire

Edit: I've been receiving a lot of passionate defense against this outlandish and completely harmless accusation. Many have come to the defense of Crystal Bridges against the evil Bridges restaurant with its nearly identical logo. Honestly, guys, I've heard this restaurant allows drunk patrons to tamper with other diners' food. If you have an aversion to spicy food, you might want to be careful. You should probably eat at Eleven rather than the fictitious Bridges restaurant. Although their logos might cause some confusion.

It is said Stoneflower represented the kernel of what would later become his most famous work, Thorncrown Chapel.

The cottage is even available to rent on Airbnb/Vrbo for those who would like to stay in it as well.
