My first ever attempt with Makera Z1, and the engraving bit broke..
I don't know what I did wrong (maybe except not noticing the metal still has the protective plastic on...)

I used the engraivng bit, single flute, 1/8inch, 0.3mm.
Ther first letter engraved almost completely, but the bit got stuck? And broke. And now the top of the bit is stuck in the holder and I cannot get it out.
what was the faulty settings? maybe 3mm depth is too much for engraving?
this is the 10x10x0.5 cm alu that was in the box
how do I get the broken bit from the holder? The lever does not open the holder enough for it to fall out.
My father is old, in pain, almost invalid and almost retired construction worker, 62, getting depressed, in a life phase where he sits home after work, just switching TV channels or watching bits on youtube and drinks. I am sad about that and want to cheer him up a bit. And I read that gaming makes you cognitively younger by 13 years. There are games that I think he would enjoy, like maybe Red Dead Redemption 2 or LA: Noire. But due to the reasons below, I think he will just give up trying them also.
It is difficult finding a movie he would like. I am picky about movies, but he likes even about 1% of that. He liked True Detective, Green Book, John Wick for example. But he is extremely sensitive to bullshit, unreal scenarios, fantasy or sci-fi, calls it "phantasmagory". Anything about space is a no go. He does not care. I think that only when he sees a character he really vibes with, he will watch it (Rust/Marty in TD, Viggo in Green Book or the Russian mob boss in John Wick).
The only games I tried to show him were Battlefield 3 in 2011, Kaffarov villa mission, he lasted about a minute, he dislikes the feeling of killing someone (he is from ex-communist Czechoslovakia, seen some rough stuff). I understand that, lately I started disliking killing too. I tried showing him Half-Life: Alyx VR in 2021, he lasted 2 minutes, not impressed at all.
What games would you recommend to someone very picky and sensitive to violence? As a literal gateway to convince somebody that there is an entire landscape of possibility he has not seen as is judging it too harshly.
I am reading Enchiridion of Epictetus, and this quote called me out. I thought I had most of my Shadow work already finished.
I read most of Jung's books, most of Marie-Louise von Franz books, wrote a book myself about archetypes, created a PC game about Jung, created multiple archetype website testing frameworks, visited Zurich, spoke to his grand-daughters in person in Bolingen, have posters of him all over my office, analyze my every dream ....
but after 9 years of studying Jung, Gnosticism and Alchemy, I still did not quite escape Nigredo. I am right now in Albedo phase, dealing with Anima issues with my long-term girlfriend, and solving patterns from my family I did not know I had.
I expected that if I solve my Shadow issues through physical martial arts, most will be solved. But no, the Shadow still shows up, and scarily I discovered it is the bad patterns I inherited from my family. Anima shows up every other day, and my gf's Animus is on similar (under-developed) level too.
No longer I am interested in Jung, anyway not as I used to be, don't read him at all anymore. But retro-spectively I realize, I was more proud of understanding him deeply, yet I did not apply his knowledge as well as I could...

How to set up the Horde analytics properly?
The situation: Broken USB cable. Cut the end off and split the inner and outer wire. Next image ->
Using a basic USB splitter to use the + and -, wrap it in isolation tape. Done. Have been using this fixed version for over a year with no issues. You don't have to buy a new model if your USB cable breaks off! (mistake in second image, the USB splitter is of course male model not female)
I have them both, but I am changing between them, cannot decide which one is better.
