At a USPSA match my prodigy had a squib, and before I realized it , I sent another round down the pipe. Long story short, I am looking for a stock replacement. I have no interest on waiting the 6+ weeks for Springfield, does any have a lead on a new/used replacement barrel?
As much as I love the look of the big target grips, they made speed reloads with the moon clips difficult at last weekends USPSA event. So in the theme of “unregistered magnum” I bought some cheap small N-Frame grips off of eBay and bought a BK grip adapter.
Side note, they have a serial number stamped on them, does that mean anything ?
It fits WAY better in my hand and causes zero issues with reloads. I’m digging it.

Cylinder is currently at TK customs getting cut for 9mm , I will be installing the reduced power spring kit this evening.
Picked up this set of knock off grips from eBay, they’ll be going on my project N-Frame once it’s back from the gunsmith (new barrel & cylinder) . Here they are on my 29-2
Next stop is model 27 barrel & cylinder . I’m pleased with how the checkering turned out, I’ve only done one 1911 front strap prior to this.

Plans are to turn this into a fakey model 27 and have the cylinder cut for 9mm on moon clips by TK Customs. I only had ~45 minutes to work on this evening.

Hello, I wanted to see what everyone’s experience was like when broaching the idea of trt to their doctor. Admittedly I am very healthy (>115%FEV1) but I believe I am experiencing systems of low T. This is backed up by the fact that my T levels have been trailing downwards since I was 20 (currently 27) .
I first had my T levels tested around 20 years old and then again at 25, there was an over 100 point drop between these two tests. I brought up the idea of testing again and possibly looking into TRT to my doctor, and was met with a rather negative / dismissive response. He did not seem like he wanted to remotely entertain the idea of this.
I love my care team , and they have been great otherwise; but this quite shocking to me.
Am I totally in the wrong here or does this seem abnormal?
1944 Winchester, RTI purchase. I shot ~150 rounds today with minimal issues (shitty mag is shitty). This carbine was able to smack a 12inch steel plate at 200 yards with absolute ease.
Doing some cleaning after a range day, figured I’d get them together for a family photo.

Didn’t let the rain get in the way of having a good time. Put another ~140 rounds through it today, steadily approaching the 1,000 round mark since finishing the build this month.
I made a post a couple weeks ago showing an issue with the barrel throat overhanging the feed ram; which resulted in my punch “hanging up” when traveling the path of the projectile.
My fix was to reprofile & polishe the barrel throat . I am happy to report this 100% fixed the issue. I have put 500+ rounds through the gun over the last few weeks at several shooting matches and haven’t had any issues with feeding. Nay-sayers be shunned!
I am so jazzed with how this gun came out, especially given how basically every part of this gun is from a different decade of colts production.
If you’re looking for cheap mags , I HIGHLY suggest them. I’ve bought 16 of them so far and have experienced zero issues thus far. I shot probably ~300ish rounds out of 3-5 of them over the last week and they’ve performed great. Also gotta give Mecgar some love, but not all of them for the magwell on my colt.
