I know TikTok is bad but I swear to god

My original comment was replying to them saying that they hated the idea that trans people are born in the wrong body and that they love being trans. I just said that I would have greatly preferred being cis and that being born in the wrong body is the only way I can conceptualize myself without having extreme dysphoria. I never said I didn’t love or appreciate my body, or that I resent myself. To say that I’m lucky to not be cis is fucking crazy. I would give or do nearly anything to be cis. I just don’t understand how I can say that I was born in the wrong body and id greatly prefer to be cis and they somehow take that as not loving or appreciating myself or that I resent myself.

Also if being trans isn’t a condition then what the fuck is it. Again, why do they think I don’t love my body? I do. That’s why I’m transitioning. Because I love myself and I don’t want to be stuck dealing with something that’s not what it’s supposed to be. It’s like saying people who get a prosthetic or a tumor removed don’t love themselves because they’re not appreciating the body they’re in.

Does anybody have any kind of sources on abolition but from the perspective of current systems not doing enough?

I feel like everything I’ve read about abolition is coming at it from the perspective that the current systems in place, particularly legal and criminal justice systems, are over-policing certain demographics, police and state violence, or that the prison complex is too focused on punishment over rehabilitation, or is inhumane. While all of that is important, from what I’ve seen, it seems like there’s not many discussions on how the current systems don’t do enough to protect victims or persecute abusers/those that cause harm.

If anybody knows of any articles, books, or even organizations that look at abolition from that perspective, I’d be very interested in it.

Does anybody have any ideas/recipes for a dupe of the Omni teriyaki bao buns?

I love these so much but they’re pretty expensive and I think bao buns themselves are pretty easy to make but I don’t know how I’d go about the filling. I’ve attached a picture of the ingredients in case that’ll help.

Does anyone else feel like they just need a lot more time for emotion-based things?

I’ve noticed this is something I struggle a lot with. I remember in a couple of my psychology classes in undergrad, they talked about most people needing about 30 minutes to calm down from something like an argument to get regulated and able to discuss things calmly and normally. For me it takes closer to 3 or 4 hours. Another thing is with breaks from things like studying or working. I’ve seen numbers like take a five minute break over 25 minutes you work. For me it would be closer to 30 minutes break every 30 minutes I work, but I end up doing something more like work/study an hour, then break for an hour. When it comes to how long I actually take to do the work things I’m quicker than most people, but the break part feels like it needs to take up a greater portion of time.

High sex drive is just really fucking annoying me

I feel like I have to get off multiple times a day. I’ll just randomly get horny during the day. It’s so annoying. I wish I could just turn it on and off when I felt like it. And I can’t find any advice anywhere on how to lower sex drive. EVERYTHING is about raising it. I don’t want to raise it, it’s a pain in the ass. It’s not interfering with daily life or responsibilities or anything, it’s just annoying. My testosterone levels aren’t even high, I get them checked every six months or so because I have to take extra as I naturally don’t make enough and currently my levels are at the lower end of healthy. I’m 20, so I’m sure that’s contributing, but still. If my testosterone levels aren’t super high then I don’t know why my sex drive is so high.

It’s not like I dislike masturbating or anything, it’s just that it feels like another chore I have to do rather than anything fun.

What are your favorite but super unknown danmeis?

For me, it’s the grandmasters weird disciple on chrysanthemum garden. I love it so much and have read it probably close to ten times now. I haven’t ever seen it mentioned anywhere, and even just looking it up I’ve never seen a single fan of it. I truly cannot recommend it enough, and it’s one of the novels that made me really develop a love for danmei.

I’m interested in knowing if other people have danmeis that they love but are almost completely unknown to the wider community.

Edit: here’s the link The Grandmasters Weird Disciple

BL where the story takes the focus and the genre is more ‘classic’ action manhwa

I’ve been reading The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly and I just love so much how it reads more like a classic action/dungeon/gate whatever manhwa but I know that rather than the mc getting with a woman it’s bl. Basically just looking for stories that fit action manhwa genres but instead of it always being straight it just happens to be gay. So like murim, tower, dungeon, gate, regression, those genres but it just happens to be gay. Idk how many of these there are as I feel like I’ve been looking for books, movies, mangas, everything where the story is still the focus and the character just happens to be gay and it follows the same kind of format as it does when the characters are straight.

I’ve recently made a goal to always have something fun to do every day just to make life interesting and less depressing. I was just wondering if anybody has any ideas on what I can do. So far I’ve included things like making a full dinner with a main, carb, and side, trying a new craft, doing a movie night with snacks, going to a farmers market or community event, going on a hike, and going thrifting. It’s been a couple weeks and I’ve really felt like my quality of life has gone up so I was hoping to find some more ideas on new things to try and do.
