I just got this draculaura secondhand and her head is covered in dark marks that weren’t in any of the sale photos! I tried using some acetone first because I’m planning on using her to practice face painting anyway and it did not remove or lighten the stains at all AND I don’t understand how but I discovered another faint mark underneath her lip paint. Will the hydrogen peroxide method I’ve heard about work for this? I don’t have any so I wanted to get some opinions before going out to buy anything

I typically wash secondhand doll clothes with regular soapy water but I’m concerned that will make the pleather disintegrate faster? Or would it be fine if I just did it once?

This might be kind of a ramble so if anyone reads this I love you. So I started my doll collection a few years ago, it started with one single draculaura and then like a year later I got another, and then another, and this past year I’ve bought significantly more dolls. In total I have like 10 MH dolls now, a few other non-MH, a few finished custom dolls, and then like 5 or 6 still mid-customization. I’ve been getting reallyyy into customizing dolls into my favorite characters and I like buying individual accessories/clothes online, I also make stuff but I prefer using ‘official’ doll stuff when I can. This often leads to me figuring out that it’s a better deal, or even straight-up cheaper, to buy the whole doll than a few accessories online. I know it’s all super subjective but is this a bad slippery slope?? How many is too many? So far I’ve been mostly able to use the dolls I get for other customs… For example I just got a good deal on a Rave’n Wednesday, basically just to steal her shoes for a different custom, and I’m super excited to customize the Wednesday, but now *she* needs shoes lmao. I want to get this core refresh draculaura’s shoes for her, but getting the shoes on ebay would be like $15, meanwhile the full doll is literally on amazon for $20? I’d obviously rather have a whole new doll than some used shoes but do I *need* a whole new doll just for shoes?? I do have a bunch of extra draculaura clothes for restyling her but I also maybe feel like I’m doing too much lol

Jokes aside how cute does this look?? Clothes from my Licca doll and shoes are ILY 4ever. I’m honestly surprised that both the dress and shoes fit her!

Title :’) Like how is the quality of the clothes? What is her hair fiber made of? Any other pros or cons ?? Or would it be feasible to get one of the older versions instead for *not* an arm and a leg??

I’ve been wanting a Laura doll for a while now but I didn’t want to have to do a blind box to get the one I want, so I found this seller with the one I wanted and they even sent me an offer and then accepted my counteroffer. I had a slight feeling that I wouldn’t be getting the clothes, so I’m glad I did get a better price, but Idk I thought that since it said “new” 15 times in the listing that the clothes would be there… Idk am I wrong for messaging them?

I’m having more trouble with this than I thought I would, I think it’s the smiling mouth that’s giving me trouble, but maybe it’s that the eye shape is too thin for the wide eyes I want to do. This is just a rough sketch obviously and I’m inexperienced at painting faces so it wont end up looking exactly like this, but I’ve stared at her faceless head for too long now and need some opinions! I’m trying to make Kagome from Inuyasha

i got this mattel creations alice in wonderland doll a few weeks ago and her hair is super frizzy! even my metal comb struggles to get through it and i really dont want to damage her!! every time i try to fix a doll’s hair, i ruin it a little bit—usually its just a budget doll with poly hair so its fine but this doll was vert expensive and even though i just got her, she’s very special to me. i’d rather not do a boil wash. is this something some conditioner and a warm thorough rinse could do? i don’t really want to even take off her bow

eta: if anyone has any tips on how to keep her collar lying down i’d also appreciate that!!

i made the wig so it can be taken off to reveal his bald head (also in case i want to change his persona) and ira is even detachable, but lets be honest, she’s the best part of his hair

Hello all, I’m on a hunt for the perfect shoes for my customized Barbie Dream Bestie! I’m turning a Renee doll into Kagome from Inuyasha (photo above!), so I need a bit of a plain shoe. I’m open to painting but I don’t *love* painting shoes so if I can find something thats already brown, that would be best. I keep finding listings for old Ken shoes (slides 3-4) that I love the look of, but obviously they’re going to be huge—I’m not sure if it’s possible, but maybe I could shrink and reshape them slightly into a tiptoe-shape? I think they are rubber so I’m not sure if acetone would shrink them or if that only works on vinyl. Otherwise, the only other viable option I can find on ebay are some Disney ILY loafers (slide 2) that I’d have to paint. If anyone has any insight or ideas, I’d love to hear them!! Thanks in advance 🩷

I am 99.99% sure she is 1996 Duke University Cheerleader Barbie, did a LOT of research to figure that out, but I can’t find anywhere that says what hair type she has… It does feel a lot like saran, but I know a lot of 90s dolls had kanekalon hair and I don’t know what that feels like to compare. Hopefully someone here knows or can maybe tell by the photos?? Her hair is sooo buttery and I really want to keep it nice but I also want to get rid of that ponytail bump!!

I understand if this post gets deleted but I’m a bit confused and I can’t figure out what to search to find my answer. So I found some orange sherbet crates today and was finally able to unlock the sixth floor of the tower. I thought there was supposed to be a special floor and wallpaper there that some people unlocked early? But there’s nothing here

Also don’t mind the non matching shoes, ebay seller messed up the order, it was supposed to just be a pair of the strappy ones :/ they’re gonna fix it so it’s fine! anyway, my plan is to paint the shoes, has anyone ever painted LOL OMG shoes? i’m not sure where to start: remove the original paint first? or just paint on top? does it matter? thanks 😭
