The first Alden’s I ever purchased in 2003, Stock 953’s.

Got these in 2003 when I was in college, purchased from the old Alden Shop of Carmel from Adam Knott. Still going strong, re-soled several times, and probably due again! Definitely in my top ten favorite shoes of all time. They’re so soft after 20+ years that they’re basically slippers at this point.

Visited the legend himself Doug Bihlmaier a little while back. Yes he’s just as awesome as you would hope.

Met him a while back in the Hamptons. One of those rare experiences where someone exceeds your hopes and expectations.

My first and still my favorite.

The SBGW231 was the first new release Grand Seiko I ever got back when it came out in 2017. I still think its simplicity and elegance is hard to beat. I have it currently on a beads of rice bracelet from Private Eyes Japan.
