How long does it take to be decent?

It’s only my second game and it’s going okay. I know I won’t win the game, I’m playing against 2 players who have been playing for years. They will destroy me pretty easily in my opinion and I will try to do my best, but my ally is doing bad decisions, costing a lot in men and ressources.

I watch squidbeak videos, they help a lot but it seems too easy for him when he explains, and mid to late game I’m very confused about what to do? I just want to know from your experience, how long did it take you to be decent and win a few games? How long until you understood pretty well the game ?

Jason is pissing me off

As far as I love Bravo 1, civilian Jason is a arrogant prick who never question himself. He destroyed his marriage and continue to do so with every relationship he starts, including the one with Natalie.
That guy goes to the psy crying his eyes out for help after 2 season ignoring his family who pushed him to do so,
And then he goes mad at the doc for helping him, WHAT HE CAME FOR!
But worse than that,
THE GUY KEEPS GOING TO THERAPY AND BE MAD AT HIM FOR CHARGING 100$.

Sorry it had to get out of my chest

Intermediate workout 3 times a week?

Hello legends,

I’m deep in the Australian desert so my equipments are pull up bar, rings, some improvised weights(bricks).

Now, my current workout is a full body 4x/week with skills, 20 minutes handstand that I built thanks to the wiki.
But I get bored, I really don’t enjoy it anymore.
So I want to reduce to 3 workout/week and I’m running 3times, which leads me to 1rest day.
So I did some research but every workout I find are PPL on a 6 days routine…
Or they are beginners routine…
In your opinion, is it worth it to train 3 times a week as an intermediate?
If that so, what’s the best split IYO?

What to do instead of USJ?

Hello fellow travelers,

My partner and I were supposed to spend tomorrow at Universal Studios park, but decided not to because couldn’t afford fast pass and we’re a bit scared of spending all of our time waiting in queue under this heat…

But now I don’t really know what to do instead so I would love your recommendations, what did you do during your time in Osaka?

Will already be in Nara on Tuesday, and had a look to go to Hiroshima but seems too far for a day.

What shoes would suit running on gravel?

G’day legends,

I’m a bit in a situation I just moved in the Australian outback, far far far from any cities, and so proper roads.

Now, I should have expected it but I need to change my running shoes and not sure what to buy.

As I mentioned, roads aren’t the best back there, the type of road any country side has: gravel, rocks, holes, little bumps, (snakes and wild pigs..)

And I’m wondering if buying proper road running shoes is a good idea, will I damage them too quick?

Edit: Thank you champions, you were all very helpful!

Issues buying tickets from Air Niugini

Hey,

I’m having issues buying a ticket from Tokyo to Cairns.

I first thought it could be from my bank, as the tickets are sold in another currency (yen).

So I tried with my Revolut bank account, where it should be automatically transferred from AUD to JPY, but once again the same error occurred.

I even tried to swap from Safari to Google Chrome, but nothing. Also tried with Mastercard and visa, no change.

Have you ever encountered this issue with another company or the same one?

Should I buy Yens on Revolut and try again?

Flying in Japan for the first time, I need help to plan my trip.

Hi!

It’s my first time travelling to Japan, and honestly I am a bit nervous.

I’ll be there for 2 weeks, 14 days exactly without flights, landing in Tokyo.

My hesitations are about what to do and not do, I’m scared of missing out beautiful things, or having regrets for not visiting enough. But also want to calm things down and don’t rush out.

I am really a nature guy and would love the calm of the Japanese countryside. I’m also a chef so really into food.

I don’t want to listen to what people say on TikTok, but I’m really nervous and need advice to enjoy my trip, it’s my first time travelling for holidays(I’ve been travelling for a while but for work) and with a decent budget.

What do you train for skill based training

I am training handstand. From what I’ve seen and been recommended, I should work 15 minutes focusing on that skill, before the actual workout.

So here is what I do:

I start with good warmup, easily 10 minutes of all body warm up.

Then I jump on my 15 minutes workout handstand based.

Starting with holds, belly facing wall. 5 minutes

Then crow pose, 5 minutes

And finally I train kicking to the wall, trying to remove my feet, 5 minutes again.

First, are those 15 minutes a good choice?

Secondly is the choice of exercise seems a good choice to you?

I’d say that I’m not a beginner, but not an intermediate either. I can hold a strict handstand for a few seconds, but it’s never the same, some day i can hold good form, some days are real shit, so I haven’t unlocked my handstand.

Partner being underpaid for no reason

Working on a cattle station with my partner, I’m the cook she’s the gardener.

Ringers were working this weekend which means I do to, and my partner has the choice.

She decided to work anyway, helping me in the kitchen both days, allowed to by the manager during induction.

We worked approx. 7-8h a day, more like ten for me but anyway my partner worked a full day.

Today our manager brings the timesheet of last week and go to my partner saying that she will not pay her full day yesterday because she didn’t see her outside taking care of the sprinklers…

But that same manager saw her in the kitchen with me, and she really worked hard all day.

Even though she could do the sprinklers( she did it on Saturday not Sunday tho) isn’t it the job of the manager to come and ask her to do it? Instead, manager did it and now claim that she didn’t see her working so half day pay…

Today I find my partner in tears because of that, she is bored all week asking our manager for something to do, which always results by her saying she doesn’t know what to give her.

Everyone here knows that she’s doing a great job, keeping that garden very clean and even doing housekeeping tasks without being asked to…

Wondering what should we do, my partner is really scared of that manager, and doesn’t want me to do anything.

I need your help to find breakfast ideas

Evening chefs!

I’m a new made cattle station cook, and my creativity has reached its limit…

After a few years of cooking in restaurants, I’d never thought my biggest challenge would be cooking breakfast…

Because I never had to cook breakfast for other than myself.

But now I have to feed 10 hungry cowboys everyday, and I’m kind of out of ideas.. to the point where my boss (who isn’t a cook) told me to cook… spaghetti on toast…

My inner French got triggered so much that I can’t let this happen again, and I’m begging for your help.

We’re in the Australian outback so I’m restricted to 3 breakfast with eggs, shops being so far away we can’t afford eggs everyday.

Here’s my list at the moment:

-scrambled eggs

-French toasts

-pancakes

-savoury mince(boss’s idea)

-English breakfast(beans beacon egg)

-avo on toast

-Bacon Lettuce Tomato toasties

That’s pretty much what I already did, as you can see nothing fancy unfortunately (for me). But I’d like to have about 20/30 recipes in order to change every time so they don’t eat the same thing.

Cheers!

What is the best brand for hats like this?

The hat on the photo is my dads.

I would like to pay tribute to him by wearing the same, but not sure about the brand, and definitely don’t want to end up buying tourist trap.

My dad always wore a leather hat, and I would like to pay tribute to him.

What are your recommendations lads?

Need recommendations to build an intermediate program

Hi,

I’m going through big changes in my life atm and have to live in a very remote area, with no access to a gym.

I have access to a good pull up bar, and I travel with my rings, so I can workout all my body.

I started working out with only bodyweight for a while which was great for mobility, strength, stamina…

After a year I had access to a gym, still doing mostly calisthenics but I could finally add weight for legs, and some volume.

Then I reduced my bodyweight training related to rugby which I played at good level and had to adjust my programs to build another type of muscles that calisthenics couldn’t give me.

But now, there’s no more rugby and the lack of equipment pushes me back to calisthenics, and it feels good after all.

But I’m struggling to build a proper program , I’d like to train 3 times a week like I did in the gym, on a PPL, and running 3 times a week on days off. Can do 4 if you reckon so.

My max are over 40 push ups, 17 pull ups, 25 dips(not ring dips tho) I also can hold a handstand for a few seconds, tho it’s still very variable.

After doing my own research, and as suggested in the wiki of this sub, many program are built with 15-20 minutes of skills training before the main training,

Should I keep it that way? If so should I keep doing handstand before every workout? Should I train following a circuit, or finishing all my sets on an exercise then move on the other one?

How many exercises do you reckon?

Also would love your legs workout!!

Cheers
