I guess it would explain the sudden jolt, the mixed messages, the warns and explainers that don't quite make sense.
I just listened to dario stumble through a Sunday interview, and honestly it sounds like a load of horseshit to me. Why not last week or last month? What is the coordination all about? A few months ago all of them were pretending to bicker out in the open...it's just strange.
Anyway, I could see a scenario where they felt their edge was threatened, raise the alarms as it's a comfy way to throttle, park it in front of the mid-terms as a contentious issue that splits the working class, while aiming to barricade themselves and prevent open release from the Chinese scientists.
At the same time, what if they hadn't solved anything, but perhaps China has? In that case, it would absolutely ruin their PR schemes and productized business model. Are they behind?
The thing that makes me say this is in that dario interview and elsewhere, they are trying to thread the needle that - it's capitalism that controls this. They "want" oversight, but not too much oversight/regulation. Most importantly, they want to remain in full control. The one interesting question was "would you give up your company [anthropic] and it's IP to the government?" to which dario says "to the right government" - so weird. This makes zero sense and I highly doubt the authenticity of the statement.
What do the other leftists think?

You will see the likes of MTG and Tucker run on releasing the Epstein files, but they are wealthy and have been corrupt. They won't either. I wouldn't be surprised if they put their silence/refrain up for the highest bidder. They most definitely wouldn't put them on public trial or sentence them.
WE CAN. This will draw the likes of all types of people/voters, especially when the zero conflicts of interest are presented along with our politicians being elected with 100% transparent and small dollar/working class donations. We are unbought and not buyable.

Shout out to the heroes behind the scenes
A white Utah man is behind bars after police say he tried to kill a Muslim mall worker over his religion.
Peter Michael Larsen, 48, was arrested on Monday at Valley Fair Mall in West Valley City, Utah. He is accused of stabbing Syed Sohail Uddin multiple times.
What Happened?
West Valley police said Uddin was working at his mall kiosk when Larsen approached him. He asked Uddin his name, where he was from, and if he was Muslim, a co-worker told the New York Times.
That’s when Larsen took out a knife and began stabbing Uddin. Several Black men quickly jumped in to help him.
In a video of the fight, posted by @politicsinthewild, you see two men holding Larsen as they try to get the knife away from him. A third man ends up knocking him unconscious.
Witnesses told police that Larsen was walking up to multiple people in the mall, asking if they were Muslim.
Luna Nunez told FOX 13 that she was working at a jewelry store nearby when she heard Uddin crying for help.
“I was throwing anything I could- shoes, a chair, anything,” she told the outlet. “[Larsen] was stabbing him so vicious. I was scared for his life.”
Salvador Mendez, an employee at another store in the mall, told the Times he saw police arresting Larsen. He said the blood-soaked suspect looked at him in a hateful way.
“I’ve just never seen anyone look at me that way,” he said. “He looked at us with hatred.”
Larsen was arrested and charged with attempted murder and prohibited dangerous weapon conduct. He was booked into Salt Lake County Metro Jail.
Uddin is in the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators Uncover Motive
According to an affidavit obtained by the Times, Larsen told police, “he believes he is a catalyst, and he intends to kill Muslims.” The reporting officer added that releasing him from jail would be dangerous “based on his violent actions today” and his ideologies, the Times reported.
Jail records indicate Larsen is still in jail as of Thursday.
Social media users were quick to find Larsen online. Omar Suleiman posted a picture of Larsen wearing a Trump 2024 hat.
“A Trump loving terrorist, stabbed brother Sohail,” Suleiman wrote on Facebook. “Shoutout to the brother who courageously subdued the terrorist.”
Islamophobia is driven by a complex mix of negative stereotypes that frame Muslims as an “other” or a threat to Western values.
Friends and Family Share Thoughts
Adnan Mohammed, Uddin’s boss and family friend, said it was a “miracle” that Uddin was still alive. He added that he is having trouble sleeping after witnessing the attack.
“I’m a father, and I feel unsafe for my kids to be here,” he told the Times. “It’s terrifying for me, my family. It’s traumatizing. I saw a lot of blood.”
Mohammed said Uddin is a father of two and a great employee.
“Always smiling, laughing, working very hard,” he told FOX 13. “You know, I promoted him to manager to operate everything.”
Nunez told the Times Uddin is a “super happy man” and “a protector.” She explained that he is the first person she and her coworkers call when a customer makes them feel nervous.
Uddin’s friends organized an online fundraiser to help support him and his family. He doesn’t have health insurance, and he is the main provider for his family. Over $300,000 has been raised so far.
“When you kill a human, you’re not just killing one guy,” Mohammed told FOX 13. “You’re killing a whole family.”
Atlanta Black Star reached out to Uddin, Nunez, and police for more information, but has not heard back.

Spent a few weeks scoping out the online marketplaces, just seeing if there were any hepa room purifiers. Saw a listing for these, $20 bucks for 1. Went to go look at it and the guy pulls out another identical one. These were whole room, or larger, and a bit yellowed with age... but then my guy had 2 brand new filters with matching carbon inserts sealed in box still. He told me just to take the 2nd purifier and he'd include the filters.
On the way home I stopped in at a dry cleaners to see if they had those full suit bags I could buy. 10-20 of them for 4 bucks. hell yeah.
I wasn't sure if they'd work how I wanted since I couldn't try them out on-site. But when I got home, these were plenty strong enough. I spent an hour stripping one down and hitting it with alcohol in every path the air would take - the insides were surprisingly simple. Popped in a fresh filter w/carbon insert and was good to go.
Next day I prepped my dishes, and while they were cooling, I set up the bag so I could try transfers that night. The 'exit' of the bag I cut fully open, so I could get my working surface and stuff inside easily, and fashioned a duct tape 'clasp' so I could partially close it off. The idea is the air being pumped through, shouldn't be turbulent - so I left an exit hole large enough not to flutter the bag opening, but also keep it fully inflated with a column of air. This is just something you'd have to do by touch to get it to the right ratio.
This worked exceptionally well. Out of 50-60 dishes, only 1-2 ended up seeing any kind of contams.
Also great for breaking down if needed, just fold up the bag or make a new one. No one would know any different.
Oh boy. Flashbacks of 2020 primaries alert. Who thought the establishment would do this cleanly?

I know not all of you will bless this, but I think since she's known world-wide and has squeaky clean financials - rallying around AOC now will begin to accumulate the political momentum required 14-16 months from now.
The capitalists have already been preparing for the downturn. Fascist right wing and pseud-center center-right alike have been placing their chess pieces. They will not give up power for anything and are literally slathering drool to be the 'savior' when it crumbles.
We cannot pick just any old leader, especially one with a name that most aren't familiar with - in a chaotic time like this, there needs to be a person that has trust built up by the widest group of the working class possible. I personally believe that to be Bernie, but he's rejected the idea of running in 2028. The next best option is AOC.
Despite being in congress for 8 years as of now, her financial reports late last year - shockingly still place her firmly in the working class. Her record is squeaky clean when pitted against any other politician you can think of. Every to-be talking point, piece of slander, propaganda... all of it... each driven by the elite class in one way or another, and she could put them to shame with ease. I think in a time of ultimate working-class pain, you would see drastically more regular people set aside their red-blue-party nonsense, for an actual representative for a change. Her demonstrating financial integrity like that is absolutely invaluable - it's as close as we are going to get to incorruptible.
She'd be one of the only ones that could reinstate full welfare as well as the second bill of rights. Once the working class has the power of the presidency, people will demand this.
And the capitalists know it. Just watch them square away their chunk and offload all of their risk on ordinary Americans. Each of them. That's what they've been doing since Biden... and now doubly so under Trump. The capitalists have driven the disparities beyond their limits, that's their doing, not ours.
Are we just going to play submissive and let this toxic, cancerous cycle be allowed to continue? Or are we going to make the demands?
Once the capitalist spell is broken on the still-duped proportion of American citizens, socialism will cascade. It doesn't just stop at AOC. She's a precursor. The right precursor for now. More importantly, available and viable at a moment in time where it will be required, otherwise we WILL be shepherded into a state of severe oppression.
Unless you all have another option up your sleeve, one that covers all the bases, I'm all ears (as I'm sure everyone is). I just don't see any other viable pathway.

Another reason to coalesce early - is with the very clear margins that left candidates have been winning by, sometimes defying the long-pandered story that "a leftist can't win in a red/purple area", the establishment dems and right wing have taken notice.
You will 100% see them get clever with this. They will try to co-opt the image of leftists and left policy... and that includes all of the politicians that are bougie puppets. There is zero doubt in my mind about this. It becomes dangerous as that will be the mechanism to muddy the waters, sow confusion, dilute, and divide what would-be a unified working class.
Remember, they own the most sophisticated propaganda machines of all time and have accrued unlimited sums of money to pay thinktanks to suss-out every scenario conceivable. They could pay these people to remain silent for life. Either way - poisoning the well WILL be a formidable aspect to overcome.
So if we wait too long, there wont be enough momentum behind a leader that can be trusted and to thwart the guaranteed manipulation. Too soon, and they will devise a sophisticated game plan to account for all paths, knowing what to co-opt and how to deliver it to subvert a legitimate working-class president.
If done right, we'll succeed, determine the next century, decide what to do with AI, usher in a new age of anti-trust along with abuses of power and loopholes, reimplement a progressive tax system, etc etc.

Hello. I've built what I think of as a public-good application that I think could potentially help many people as it's an alternative to other applications in similar niches. While it could always use more tweaking and some additional features, it's at a point where I could at least get it out there to at least get rolling with some initial users.
I am curious how others float the costs of deployment. Where do you seek funding from? I know funders would want to see profit projections, but this isn't inherently meant to be yet another profit-machine, it's more utility than anything... but it would be nice to earn at least a moderate amount as well as being self-sustaining beyond that.
Due to these values/requirements, I have worked in a paid tier for some additional features... but am unsure whether this should be a sub type model or a single payment type of deal (having users actively using it would probably best determine this).
Any insight, criticism or questions are welcome - aside from keeping the intricacies of the project vague for now. Mainly looking for advice on where to start looking.
