AIO My mom is changing the logistics of a trip that I planned and invited her on

I was planning a trip for myself and my kid to visit family for a few days. I picked the dates that worked best for us I found flights, etc.

I decided to invite my mom because It's her family and I figure that it would be nice to not be traveling alone with a young kid.

Well she immediately was very excited and started changing the logistics of all the trip. We're no longer flying, because she would rather rent a car, and now she's trying to change the dates because it works better for her. When I explain to her why I picked the dates she contacted my daughter's sport to confirm that there are makeup days... AIO. This is insane right?

What's with the "Love this!" comments? Are they bots?

Been noticing them more and more lately. A reel will have hundreds of comments, ALL of them say love this! Different emojis, different capitalization. Is the internet just being trashed by bots?

Sold out show at Ameris

I was wondering if anyone has experienced the lawn during a sold out show. I went last year but the show was not sold out and there was so much open space! I'm taking a 6-year-old so just want to know what to expect there. Are they packing it in like sardines or will there be room to sit?

Was just called "fatherless with high cortisol" 😂 - what's been your favorite insult in this stage of life?

So I guess I used to get a lot of pretty privilege, but I noticed that faded quickly once I had a kid. Now I'm 33 and I feel like society is treating me so nasty :(

AIO My neighbor hired a tree removal service and I caught them hopping my fence and passing trash cans over to dump the debris

I was just outside watering my garden (it's a shaded / woodsy garden) And I look up, 10 ft away from me some guy is on my side of the fence holding a full trash can. I obviously told him to get off my property and he did, immediately.

I called the company, a worker (presumably the owner??) answered, was extremely defensive kept calling my property "the woods" ??? They hopped my fence..!!?

I told them if I see them on my property again I'm calling the cops. Ten minutes later he calls me back to tell me that he was a cop and they won't do shit. And asking me to come down there and make sure everything was cleaned up. I am not going down there again.

I really can't believe this just happened and I want to call the cops just to spite his ass.

So I've been teaching my daughter about strangers obviously for a while now, what to do if you're lost/ in an emergency/ who can we trust to help us. Body autonomy. We've touched on racism / equality & basic equity.

Beyond that I do NOT talk about politics with her except the importance of voting. It's really important to me to stay factual with her / not push my political opinion, because I was indoctrinated as a kid and I want her to come to her opinions on her own.

Since this is reddit I do want to point out that we don't have these conversations very often/ I'm not hammering her with social issues, but if the conversation naturally flows or if she asks, I give her an age appropriate answer.

Well lately during "big feeling" moments, she starts crying about how she hates this world and people are so mean, etc.

Has anyone had this experience with their kid and how did you respond to it? My daughter is definitely an intellectual and also extremely empathetic. Looking for solidarity in these hard times and maybe advice for helping her see the world more positively. I feel guilty if I have passed on a negative view of the world, I've possibly over-corrected in my parenting journey? Or is this a normal phase for a child to go through as they lose their innocent view of the world?

Please be kind. I'm doing my best.

▲ 100 r/Depop

You would think that Depop would want to make more money... Suggesting $8 on a vintage formal dress, $15 for a holy clothing dress. The "similar items" are ALL fast fashion....And when I ignore their pricing, it pops up that my price is too high and it won't sell. WHAT IS THIS BS 😭
