My all in one bag has a lot of side pin action. I’ve been following the vendor instructions and have opened the bag completely above the level of the substrate. It seems like a good idea to remove the plastic bag completely to let the side pins grow, but not sure if that might compromise the water content of the block. Any thoughts?
My GT plate is growing like this, what’s up with the ring of greater density that suddenly started near the edge? If you were going to take a sample to start another generation, would you take it from the outer edge or from the big ropey section towards the middle?
she’s nine and a half and since the start of this year, she has started having one medical issue after another. First she had an abscessed tooth removed, then she got diagnosed with arthritis and now her eye has some kind of infection. Poor girl is falling apart. Vet said there’s nothing to be done for the arthritis other than pain meds. When I give her the meds she just zones out or passes out asleep. It doesn’t seem like she is enjoying her life any more. Sometimes she has a hard time getting up from her sleeping position. How do I know if I can still give her a happy life any more or not?
This is just a sad tale. I did my first grow, a small batch that yielded 4g dry golden teachers. I harvested them 5 weeks ago and ate half, had a really nice moderate trip. I stored the remaining 2g in a zip lock bag and then ate them a few days ago… almost no effect at all. Guess I learned the importance of proper storage. So sad
Is there a relatively foolproof way to inoculate an all-in-one bag starting from a healthy agar plate? Or should I move up to proper spawn jars and bulking? Thank you
I ended up getting multiple spore syringes for some reason even though I only have a single AIO bag. Is there any harm if I inject multiple syringes into the bag? Or maybe this is actually a good idea/increases success rate? Any thoughts?

I’m new to growing and I see people with these massive, beautiful flushes, but unless you’re selling them, what are people doing with this many mushrooms? Can they be stored dried for a long time, I thought potency loss was a factor? Are you just tripping your brains out every week? Isn’t tolerance a factor too? My target dose is like 2-3g dry so it would take me a year or longer to get through some of these harvests
