Is it worth going up the Campinale di Giotto with the construction going on?

I saw on the website that the view is partially obscured because of the renovations. Before I climb 414 steps I want to make sure it’s actually worth it!

Stressed out ADHD-er needing last minute wardrobe help!

Hello everyone,

I’m leaving for Nice, France + Italy literally this Thursday (October 1st) and I have close to NO clothing items prepared. I have been going down the clothing rabbit hole all day today but my stressed out, ADHD brain has reached decision paralysis with so few days left to prepare. I was wondering if anyone in this beautiful community could do me a huge favor and just lay out exactly what I need to buy with example photos or something equivalent. Saying “light weight cardigan” means nothing to me, as I live in nothing but oversized sweat pants and shirts with big logos / sayings on them. The only items that seem to be acceptable that I have are black leggings and 2 pairs of walking shoes.

If you need specific days / destinations, this is my itinerary:
Nice, France October 1st - 4th
Florence 5th - 12th
Rome 12th - 14th
Lake Como 14th - 15th

I’ve also accepted that I’ll probably be buying whatever items are listed to me through Amazon because of the very little time I have left.

If it matters, I’m 5’4 and 150lbs

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me!

Has anyone DIY’d storage like this into their standing desk?

I recently purchased a Flexispot E7 Pro after having an L-shaped sitting desk that had storage close to what is shown in the photo. I’m really missing my L side with my drawers / shelves and I’ve thought about buying something like this that is cheap but just inserting the E7 into the pre-made slots. However, the dimensions don’t line up with anything I’m looking at.

So I’m asking this community: has anyone DIY’d something like this? When I mean DIY, I do not mean build by scratch, rather buying a storage contraption and cutting holes into it to slide in the desk frame.

Thanks!

Thoughts on $1k Huanuo quality?

I've been doing a lot of research into standing desks and I know that the consensus is "you get what you pay for". I need an L-shaped desk that also has storage and I'm considering this but would need to convince my partner that it's worth dropping $1k on. What are this community's thoughts?

Looking for breakfast / non-breakfast meal recipes for me to make my newly diagnosed husband

Hello!

My husband was recently diagnosed with IBS and is having a hard time right now with bloating / constipation. I know he needs to do a complete low fodmap diet for a little bit to reset his system, but I’m having a hard time coming up with what to make this week for meals. I have the fodmap handout from his doctor but that doesn’t include everything. If this lovely community could please share full recipes with me (not just rice + chicken) that would be so helpful!

Thank you!

I’m losing my mind trying to scour through this subreddit to find a new pair of gloves. Help

I’m 5’4, 157 (in the middle of losing 15 more pounds) and attending my local Title boxing gym 2-3x per week. I’m not quite sure what types of gloves I have now, but definitely not any of the brands I see here.

I’m looking for a mid-range type of glove under $150 that will protect my wrists, knuckles, and reduce the impact on the heavy bag work I do as I really like to throw really hard punches. I was about to purchase the Venom Elite but I’m seeing too many wishy-washy reviews on them. I’m also an unfortunate woman who would really like hot pink gloves to match my bag, so if color customization is a thing, fabulous! But I can also get over it.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for recommended areas to stay in Florence and Rome that are close to activities / transit but not in extremely busy, downtown areas

Hi everyone!

My husband and I will be visiting Florence and Rome in early October and are trying to find a midway point for where to stay. I personally don’t like the feel of super metropolitan areas (example, I wasn’t too much of a fan of Paris, and yes I know that Rome is a huge city) but we don’t want to have to take 30+ minutes to get places. I understand if this isn’t really possible, but I figured I’d reach out since I’m not familiar with Italy.

Thank you for your time!

The plants are below some long leaf pine trees that don’t get a whole lot of sun. 2nd photo I used a chuck-it for a size reference

Looking for employment places that staffs therapists and offers Wellhub (formerly GymPass) in their benefits

Hi everyone!

I’m a mental health therapist currently job searching to leave Fairview and am wondering if anyone knows of other places that offer Wellhub in their benefits. Fairview offers this and it’s such an amazing benefit, but I need to leave the environment I’m in.

My cat has this nightly ritual when my husband and I go relax in our basement living room with his toy corns.

He will bring a single corn out to our kitchen, plop it on the kitchen mat, and yowl. Then he’ll go and repeat it. He sometimes will bring it downstairs to where we are and yowl once he plops it down.

We keep buying him more corns because it’s so funny and he will only do it with corn toys, nothing else. We’re just wondering if anyone knows the psychology behind it!

Location: Minnesota, Twin Cities area

Our landlords cut down a dead red pine tree last summer and the stump can’t come out because it’s right next to a water line (seen in the picture). I know it can be hard to plant things where pine trees are, so I thought I’d ask for some suggestions! Looking for low maintenance and bonus points if it flowers!
