When I turned on the tank light she was not in her usually fanning spot. I sat and watched for about a half hour because I just had a feeling she was going to moult based on her behaviour. So I stayed still and then grabbed my camera as she began to jerk. The recording was actually like 15 min long but I only showed you guys the main action, although all the other pre moult behaviours I found extremely
interesting!! This is her first time since being with me. I feel so grateful to share this with you all and to have witnessed this myself. Enjoy

I decided to give her a wafer where she was sleeping. She held onto it for a good while and then lost it as I started recording

Had her for about a week now🥰 she is my first betta fish and it’s so amazing to watch her interact with everyone in the tank and boy is she smart!! Like it’s actually so captivating watcher her explore the tank. I have a 29 gallon tank with shrimp Cory’s and tetras, she basically thinks she’s a Cory at this point😂

I haven’t named this pretty lady yet. Id love suggestions

I’m quite new to the hobby so have done so much research. I did not want neon tetras because I know
They have poor genetics. I wanted cardinal tetras but my lfs sold me these albino neons as albino cardinals. I understand the appearance difference and everything but, I did not want sick fish. Who does?? Is this NTD and wtf do I do. I honestly don’t want anything bad to happen to the rest of the tank mates. As you can see in the video. A few have white stuff on their mouths. One has a nipped looking fin (which I assume would be from another school mate) and another seems to have white on the side fins. They all eat and behave to what I believe to be as normal. Also not captured in the video is a few that do not have strait spines.

I have 18 tetras in my 29 gallon been running for 8 months ammonia 0 nitrite 0 and nitrate 0 I have so many plants is why. My ph is on the higher side for these guys at 8. Kh is 3 and gh is 8

I just had to share as I think it is the cutest thing! Their behaviour is just amazing to watch. I have many more minutes of them playing to share but this is just a quick bit. My poor bamboo shrimp is a victim of their play as sometimes she gets fins in her fans 😂

Is this ich? I just got 16 albino cardinal tetras from a Reputable LFS today! This is my first tank. A heavily planted 29 gallon community tank. This guy is the only one with spots. He has one spot on one side, 2 on the other.

If it is ich. I have SOOOOO many neo shrimp and I have Amanos and I have a bamboo shrimp so I’m not sure how to treat. I isolated the one for now

Hi guys this is my first time posting on Reddit as I’m usually just a lurker, however I keep feeling like I need to add more plants to my tank and constantly make it better. I also keep going back and forth on so many stocking ideas for this 29 gallon and it’s 5 months old

I do struggle with anxiety and stuff so I know there isn’t an aquatic fix for that, but I really want suggestions that are cost effective that will make this tank seem more complete. Or do I just need to keep waiting for things to grow? Any tips for making things grow etc. I’ve also been struggling with my floating plants. I feel like they just keep the same population and do not really grow. Is that cuz I don’t have fish making extra waste? I did buy shrimp safe liq fertilizer so hoping that will help

Also I’m totally open to stocking ideas as right now I have a colony of cherry shrimp breeding away and 3 mystery snails.
