Spotify has borked its offline mode with the last update

So i have an android phone that i basically use as a portable DAC to play my music with a headphone jack because my i phone doesn’t have one - obviously its not got a sim card or anything, so i download stuff at home and then use offline while on the go.

But right now? You put offline mode on and it says “failed to connect to the network” and wont load the app, meaning you also cant turn it off again! I had to delete and reinstall the app just to get access to it again, and currently I’m having use my i phone hotspot to use the android to music, its a frustrating mess, all because i want to use my weird headphones.

Torn rotator cuff and tendonitis help

So, after trying to grin and bear the shoulder pain i went to the hospital today and after an ultrasound and a physical i was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and tendonitis of the left shoulder.

It sucks so much (yay EDS) and i am so uncomfortable and in pain - the hospital has given me naproxen, cocodamol and omeprazole and told me to keep up with my physiotherapy (that i do anyway to try and prevent this nonsense)

However the hospital was very busy and obviously it was just treat the issue and get you out.

What can i actually do to help, what can i do to be more comfortable and how can i stay comfortable until it heals? How long will it take to heal?

Im going to my GP for something else tomorrow so i will ask them while I’m there but any advice would be glorious.

How many first aid kits do you own? Personally I’ve got 3 - the house kit, the mini one i keep on my person in my bag and the car kit! - Also what first aid supplies do you wish more people kept around?

The house kit has all the normal dressings and stuff but also things you’d need more at home like burn gel and dressings, numbing agents for dental issues and clotting powder for cuts.

The mini first aid kit again has the standard dressings but also things you might need on the go like blister patches, bite and sting gel, antihistamines and that kind of stuff.

The car kit has a full lay out roll in there but also a bleed kit and splints that i keep in the bag too.

Personally i find having situational kits much more efficient than just one big one that covers everything because if you are in an emergency you do mot wanna be pulling random crap out the way to stop a bleed - and on the other hand if someone has a blister you don’t wanna risk messing up your truma kit to find a blister patch.

My shoulder :(

So, I’ve had pretty bad shoulder pain for the last two weeks, I’ve seen my GP about it but he’s said its normal EDS stuff and i should just rest it - the issue is i don’t think it is.

Basically it feels like a blade is wedged in my joint and that its sending pain up my collar bone? When i lift my arm above chest hight it hurts so much i feel physically nauseous :( i rang NHS 111 and they just said “go to your GP”

From what I’ve found online it seems like it might be damage to the superspinatus? But regardless…

Anyone got any tips on how to get a doctor to not write something abnormal for you off as just your EDS? Im at a loss here

Im sick of people getting picked on for saying a bands most popular song is their favourite song!

Like i get it “oh you dont lnow their more obscure tracks” or “oh only someone whos only herd them on the radio would say that”

Like really dose it fucking matter? Seriously dose it? They like the same band you do, thats a good thing right? Surely it would be more helpful to say “if you their song A youd also really love their song B off C album, its got really simlar vibes” instead of being a pretentious snob??

Like im a pretty well listened perosn, and i love an obsucr reference as much as the next guy! Especially when it shows someone is at least as far down the rabbit hole as you are - but we are not going to garner more fans for the bands we like by being stuck up sods, we are just going to alienate people and turn them off a band we like by being a dick head.

(Sorry about any spelling issues - dyslexia)

Does nobody read the highway code… so much for 10 meters from a junction! Coming down here on my pushbike is genuinely stressful because i have to move out into the center on a junction :(

I do drive myself but to and from work its much faster on my bike and theres no parking at work anyway - I’m continuously pushed into the center of the road on junctions here - the worst part? Almost all of these houses have driveways made to hold 2 cars that sit EMPTY!

I know 10 meters from a junction is a should and not a must but when your creating a genuine risk for other road users its just you being selfish isn’t it?

All of these junctions lead from one to the next in about 500 yards

So ive got meares irlen syndrome, sometimes called “visual dyslexia” as part of my dyslexia, it makes colours seem more obvious but the lines between them more muddy, this is what i see (im not sure on yellow tho, there may be some orange in there and some yellow in the green)

Cut a chunk out my fingertip with hairdressing scissors on Monday - it’s now Wednesday and it still keeps bleeding every time i knock it - genuinely using the dogs kwikstop on it, would that help? (Its no Celox but its something right?)

First three photos are Monday - last photo is today after i knocked it gardening and made it bleed again.

History wise I’ve got H-EDS and am prone to bleeding more than i should - that said i don’t think i can get this stitched or glued due to the fact I’ve basically gouged a chunk out my finger with razor sharp blades and theres no flap or anything.

A clonic tonic seizure involves loss of consciousness, spasms/thrashing and other “stereotypical” seizure symptoms.

It is normal for someone to lose bladder control during a seizure.

When someone comes around from a seizure please put them in the recovery position until they are fully cognitive, as vomiting after a seizure is a possibility and the last thing you want is to go from a seizure to a drowning/choking.

Please do not try and put things in the mouth of someone having a seizure, they are extremely unlikely to swallow their tongue but the jaw contractions can cause them to damage their teeth on whatever you have put in there.

Wait until they are up and talking before offering water and don’t pour it in their mouth.

If your alone as your phone to set a 5 minute timer, if it goes past that alarm call an ambulance - if your with a group be assertive, get someone to clear the area, someone to time the seizure and someone on stand by to call an ambulance if it goes past that danger point.
