Anyone have allergy to Monjauro but find another GLP that was fine?

It fave me bodywide itching right after 1 st injection and itching plus tongue and throat tingling right after 2nd injection. But boy did those 2 injections work remarkably well.

Curious if any others were allergic to it but then found another GLP that was fine and still worked

Does Voices123 have Union jobs?

Hi all -

I am Union due to back in my acting days, now trying to wrap my hed around the voiceover world.

Just signed up for the free membership on Voices123 to get a feel of it, but it doesn't mention SAG-AFTRA anywhere. Shall I assume it's because it's all nonunion jobs?

Thanks

Anyone get bodywide mild itching after the injection?

Just took my first injection (.5ml) an hour ago and now have bodywide mild itching. I have a very reactive bodysystem, so it's not shocking to me. I will take a xyzal soon and see what happens.

But wondering how common it is and if most people decided theyre allergic to it and discontinue use, or if it's generally not a big deal ?

What tests can I ask my doctor to order?

The trick is, I'm not in a particular flare at the moment (which is why I finally had the strength and clarity to figure out that this is likely what I have).

I have a functional med doc who is fine with ordering tests.

But is it true all the mcas tests can only be done during a flare? (I mean, if so, I do think I kind of chronicall have it, so in that sense, maybe I am in a flare?)

Is there anything I can ask her to test now?

Thank you

Endocrinologist Recs?

Looking for endo in Brooklyn or Manhattan. Who sees people with pre-diabetes.

And understands that some people have a genetic predisposition (that no keto diet will stop). And is open to low-dose GLPs, but will monitor you while you take them.

And who has availability. (I found somebody at NYU, but their first appt avail is next summer.)

Thank you

ACA healthcare for NYC: Do you have experience with United or Blue Cross?

Anybody have experience using the NYC ACA United Healthcare, or Blue Cross?

COBRA is ending and I need to choose soon.

I'm wondering which is best. I'm getting older and need a lot of specialists, which I prefer not to need a referral for; and starting to need more procedures/tests, which I prefer not to be denied or have to put up a fight for.

Willing to pay for higher tiers (though it will mean squeezing my grocery budget, as I took a look at current prices - yikes)

But it is, what it is. What's most important right now is least obstacles with access to doctors and tests.

Many of my doctors at NYU and all my doctors seem to take both.

Very much appreciate anyone's personal experience with either. Thank you!

Are all electric guitars super heavy?

My 100lb teenage daughter ordered an electric guitar. God, that thing is heavy!

Is this just all electric guitars? Or should I save the packaging and return and find a lighter one?

Thanks

Whelp. It happened. U1-RNP >8 and he told me nothing is wrong with me.

After 3 decades of a list of 100 autoimmune like symptoms for which they have found no other cause, I founda Rheum who bothered to test U1-RNP. When it came out >8 (as high as it goes) and the internet told me that was a definitive diagnosis for MCTD ---- met with him today for the follow up and yet again told there's nothing wrong with me.

I want to scream.

HOWEVER....he did say he could give me hydroxycloroquine for 3-6months and see if I feel better. So, thats not nothing as I assume that would be the end result if he had given me a dignosis.

WWYD? Just take the meds and see what happens? Or take them, but in the meantime seek a 2nd opinion?

Anyone get Punch Biopsies?

It's creeping me out that 48hours later there's still little gaping craters. Was not expecting that. And I dont do well with creepy stuff like that. My mother had 4months of sepsis, so I look at holes in my body and think of how wasily it is to get bacteria in them.

Beyond that, they told me to shower with bandages on after 24hrs, then take bandages off and gave me one days worth of bandages and bacitracin and alcohol swabs.

But I'm not really sure what to do beyond that and its the weekend so I wont hear back from them.

Anyway, not seeking medical advice, but just others' experiences, so I know what maybe to expect. How long till those holes closed up?? Did you shower with bandages on until they did? (I'm weirded out by the possibility of water/bacteria getting in there). Did you change the bandages daily, or just every few days, and for how long? AI said holes can take weeks to close - do I need to do daily alcohol swab/bacitracin application/gauze and bandage of the sites for weeks??

Sorry, I have an undercommunicative doctor mixed with a fear of sepsis due to my mom, mixed with an inability to look at holes in my body. Feeling unsettled, to say the least.

Thanks for any shared experience stories.

Once you're diagnosed, what happens? Imaging?

Waiting for follow up for diagnosis but RNP >8 and MCV +

I have a lot of joint issues. Will they do imaging on them to be sure there's not inflammation or cartilage damage?

I've had this for 20 years, so concerns me that there could be some damage.

Hello,

While I'm not technically deficient, I do have chronically low B-12, D, and Iron.

Anyone on who had this? Wondering how you handled, what your doc told you to do.

My doc thinks I will eat less meat on glp, so will have even less of these vitamins. However, I already eat tons of meat and still dont absorb these vitamins, so I dont really think that should factor in.

And I will plan to supplement/get shots while on it.

I really do need to lose for health reasons (prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, EXTENSIVE family history of heart disease and DM)

My doctor knows very little about metabolic stuff and I'm waiting for a cardiologist appt to try to get a rec for an endo who knows what they're doing. In the meantime, trying to gather all the info i can, so I know what to ask, look for, red flags etc

Thanks
