I’ve been working on the background art and I’m trying to decide which daytime color palette works better.

Which version do you prefer? And more generally, what do you think could be improved about the drawing or the room itself? I’m also wondering if there are any details, furniture, decorations, etc. that you think would fit well in this club room and make it feel more alive

Hey everyone,

A while back I shared our demo here, and today our psychological horror VN Dissolution of the Silent Union is officially out on Steam.

It’s been a long journey for our small team, but we're super excited to finally get the full game into your hands.

The game follows Vera, who is trapped on the last day of school and walking toward an inevitable date. Visual wise, we tried to go with a pretty unique aesthetic, combining anime art, pixels, brutalist architecture, and real photography into a surreal, liminal space vibe. The story relies heavily on environmental details, faded memories, and multiple endings to piece everything together.

The project is listed on VNDB. Massive thanks to everyone from this sub who checked out the demo and gave us feedback along the way, it genuinely helped us polish the final release.

I wanted to share a project my team and I have been working on. It’s called Dissolution of the Silent Union, a psychological horror VN where you accompany Vera, who is trapped on the last day of school, toward her inevitable date.

- A visual style inspired by brutalism and liminal spaces, blending anime lines, pixels, and realistic photography into a surreal collage.

- An unsettling story set in familiar yet foreign "in-between" spaces.

- Trace the fragments of a deep and emotional relationship between two characters.

- Piece together the story through monologues, faded memories, and environmental details. Each ending is a key to the next layer in this cycle of truth.
