Help me rescue a cat in a bad situation

Hi guys, I'm really desperate for help and/or reassurance right now.

My friend's parents live in the country in a big farmhouse and they have a dog and a cat that is pretty much wild. They really just feed him dry food. They never named him, took him to a vet, or got him neutered. Legally it's not even really their cat.

Now I've seen this cat get really messed up throughout the years: many years back he got bit by a fox or another wild animal (that's what we think at least) but his so-called owners did nothing to help him. They basically just left him that way and let him fend for himself. The cat was miraculously able to heal from this gash after several years spent just walking around with it. I honestly have no idea how this cat is still alive as the wound is huge and right around his neck. The fur doesn't even grow on there anymore.

Yesterday I saw the cat again and the wound on his neck has reopened. The owners and my friend are still not doing anything at all to help him and their dog is now licking his wound too which is probably not good.

I've been concerned about this cat for a while and vocal about it, this time around I told my friend I found a volunteer to come take the cat and cure him for free (mind you I live in Italy so there is no danger of the cat getting euthanized, we don't have cat shelters like that here). The cat would probably not come back as the volunteers would never allow it because obviously these people can't be trusted.

My friend straight up refused and said it's none of my business as that's not my house and not my cat. Now obviously this cat is enduring a lot and denying him medical care is animal abuse. But the volunteers won't go take him without permission and calling animal control could just make things worse as they could easily walk up to the house, talk to the owner who could say he doesn't have a cat or doesn't know where the cat is, and leave without doing anything at all to help.

I'm considering going over there and getting the cat myself. This cat is practically a stray and they do not have legal ownership of it, so I'm allowed to do this. The problem is I don't know the area well, and I've only ever seen this cat on their property. All around the house is just fields (there's like two other houses nearby).

I can't go get the cat at night though, because then I'd have to keep it in my house overnight. It's flea and tick infested, and it's an outdoor cat, so it would probably freak out even though it's not scared of people and really friendly. Also I have a cat of my own so I absolutely cannot have him be in contact with her.

I'd have to trap him during the day somehow. I'm really scared of getting caught but I think if I drive further up the road and put out some good smelly food maybe he'll come out.

My question is how to arrange this exactly. How far away can cats smell food from? Could this cat realistically leave their private property and roam the fields around the house? How far away do cats go from their main 'spot'? I'm really scared of going too close because it would alert their dog and it would start barking.

Please help and thank you for any advice.

If you know of a better subreddit where I could post this please let me know as well.

My friend has a cat with a giant gash on its neck, and is refusing to let volunteers take him away to cure him

My friend lives in the middle of nowhere in the countryside. There's a cat roaming the area who eventually stuck around because his family feeds it dry food. That's about it though. The cat has never been named, taken to a vet, legally adopted, or spayed.

The cat got bit in the neck by a wild animal (probably a fox) years ago, and the wounded cat was just left like that. It took years for him to heal completely (even that was a miracle). The gash has recently reopened and my friend thinks it's being worsened by their dog (way better kept than the cat) because she licks it.

The cat looks well fed but that's about it. He's dirty, matted, and clearly doesn't clean himself. He still has the giant half scabbed over, half raw wound on his neck, where fur doesn't grow anymore and probably never will. I want to highlight that this wound has been there for years at this point and it looks like it may be getting worse now. I have known this cat for a while and see him very rarely but this last time I saw him it really worried me. These people don't take care of him and nobody that ever came on the farm (many, many friends) has ever been concerned enough for this poor animal to help him or call authorities. I took it upon myself to do so because I don't want to be responsible for his death and this time he may not be so lucky to miraculously heal.

I live in the EU which means cat shelters do not euthanize animals and our local cat shelter would take him in and cure him for free. The cat would 100% not come back though. I contacted a volunteer who told me to ask my friend if they could take the cat, but of course my friend said no. He really has no actual power over the cat though because he doesn't have ownership of it (which is better for him because atp this is animal abuse so he could get in legal trouble for it). So neither me nor another volunteer can go get the cat without encountering resistance. The house is surrounded by fields and I've only ever seen the cat on their property so IDK where else he hangs out that we could get him. The only other option is to call animal control and have it forcibly taken from them. My friend is going to hate me and he probably already does but it felt even worse to just send a stranger to forcibly take the cat away without telling him beforehand.

Am I doing the right thing here? I feel like I'm the only chance this kitty has to survive and live his last years somewhat comfortably...he's really sweet with people but I don't think he'll ever get adopted so he may have to live in the shelter with other cats (it's free roam, they're not in cages) for the rest of his life. Idk how he gets along with cats. Should I still try to go to his house and get the cat myself? Should I just go ahead and call animal control?

Vampire themed house and household

I want to make a vampires household. They don't necessarily have to pay rent or be actual roommates, I just want them to live together. I try to avoid downloading CC, so what are your favorite vampire themed cc free lots with more than 2 bedrooms?

I'm also looking for any cool downloadable vampire sims just so I have a base to start with. I'm wondering if you can download separate sims and 'merge' them into one household from the menu.

Is successfully sneaking out ever going to be possible?

I have tried to do it so many times and it never works. I figured out you can get your teen sim to call one of their friends and "ask about college parties". Apparently that always gets a positive answer and the friend always invites you to a college party going on the same night (at least it happens 100% of the time for me.

Then you get a notification CONFIRMING your sim's acceptance of the event and telling you you can ask for permission or try to leave and hope no one catches you.

Asking for permission shows up as an interaction for the parents AND it even shows the animation of begging being played during the conversation. The parent always seems to agree to the teen going out but you don't get any notifications confirming this, and by nighttime it's literally impossible to sneak out.

The game acts like none of these interactions ever took place, and there is no way for your sim to sneak out at all. I've tried EVERYTHING: clicking on the EZ window (after making sure it works and my sim can climb out of it succesfully), clicking on the front door, clicking on the sim that has to sneak out, and clicking on the ground outside. I EVEN tried clicking on the ground outside of the property which normally gives different options and the option to sneak out is absolutely nowhere to be seen. This is kinda pissing me off at this point, especially since googling brings up posts from YEARS ago of people complaining about this exact thing and there being no solution. I'm honestly appalled at how unplayable this game is at times even when these packs have been out for years at this point. This is just one of countless issues I've encountered while playing the game....

How do I replace all my townies with MCCC?

I have a few hundred downloaded townies in my gallery, did the import tray thing in the settings to have 100% of townies be from my gallery, but I still see the default Maxis ones. Am i meant to also delete every household in the game for this to work?

Do you blame anyone specific for your misophonia?

I know the exact way I developed misophonia and who caused me to develop it. For me it was a traumatic event during a very stressful time in my childhood. Do you remember when you first started being triggered? Do you think you would still have misophonia now if you were never in that situation?

Melatonin gives me nightmares but not taking it makes me wake up at 6am without being able to fall back asleep

I've been taking melatonin for 2 years, at first it helped me but now it just gives me really stressful nightmares...but it's the only way I'm able to sleep through the whole night. I used it to wake up feeling rested but now I wake up tired anyways and I feel like I'm getting horrible sleep. My sleep schedule is so bad now because I'm sleeping in every day to catch up on the sleep I lose during the night.

Not taking melatonin forces my body to wake up at 6am or so every day. It's actually kinda crazy how my body knows exactly when it's 6am and automatically wakes me up. I haven't had to wake up at 6am since I was in high school so there's no way it's force of habit either.

The worst part is as soon as I wake up I am fully awake. Like 100% can do math problems awake. I know I haven't gotten enough sleep yet but no matter what I can't make my body fall back asleep... I already tried all the meditation stuff too but my mind is just racing at that point.

I'm so desperate to get a good night's sleep and on top of everything I'm a really light sleeper too. Any advice?

What would I ask for to get a haircut like this?

I have curly hair and I'm so tired of it looking bad. It's basically always frizzy and gets messy really easily. I worry constantly of how it looks and I miss my days of having short hair a lot; it's easy to take care of but I have pretty androgynous features so short hair can make me look a bit too masculine.

I think this would be a good middle ground to get back to shorter hair. 2nd pic is what i currently have. I've been cutting my own hair for years since every time I go to a hairdresser I always regret it after because they never understand what I want or don't understand how curly hair works so they don't cut it properly.

I think I could probably cut this myself especially if I leave it longer in the back (keep in mind I really don't care about mistakes, I've sported some strange ass haircuts so I'm used to having people stare at me lol). What steps would I take or what can I google to find a haircut style that's similar to this one and that I can copy? Also do you guys think her hair has a visible part in the middle or do you think it's so short that the part doesn't even show?
