Should I pay to attend my campaign’s award?

For context, I got to enter my campaign in an external award for free as the organizer gifted an entry. I was told over the phone by the organizer that my campaign will get an award win. However, there is a separate fee to attend the award proper and my agency is unlikely to be willing to sponsor me a seat due to tight budgets amid financial constraints. Should I pay for my own award seat which costs 300 USD and keep the trophy or just forget it altogether?
