Soviet Pobeda - my loudest mechanical watch
Might be coded commie propaganda.

Many thanks to the Véra team for the fine work. Everything went perfectly smooth and since yesterday i'm enjoying my old pdfs on KOReader.
Next up will be my father' Kindle.
Always very caring and careful, before her illness worsened she asked me what i wanted from her jewelry as a keepsake. I chose this watch, her favourite in later years and a commemoration of milestones she reached. In Brazil we have the ancient tradition of the Missa de Sétimo Dia, so i worn her watch for the last formal farewell in her parish.
Never cared for golden watches before but the B145 convinced me that they are quite nice. I think the secret is smaller dimensions, like in vintage watches.
One other great thing about it is that seconds hand hits all markers. One annoying thing is adjusting the bracelet.
My first vintage Seiko a few years ago.
Quick stop in the park with this fine gentleman. The 6139 is one Seiko' best calibers in my opinion.

Now it looks like a mishmash of "i've seen that before" with "this shouldn't be here" and "who asked for that?".
GLX-5600. Squares are my favourites and the tide graphs are the best.
My two beach watches. The tide graphs are accurate enough to find the best time for a swim and, because the intervals are quite wide and i don't travel too far, they cover the tides in both my favourite place for vacations and in my home town.
I might get a black GWX-5600 as my definitive G-Shock and to round up the tide collection, and maybe, who knowns, a GRX-5600. These four in total are all the 5600 references with tide function.
The lastest releases of the brazilian branch were the Special Calibers family of dress watches in 39mm and 36mm. These are the two 36mm in leather straps.
Besides this diameter they measure 42mm of lug-to-lug, 11,7mm of total thickness and 20mm of lug width; for specifications, they have box-domed sapphire crystals, IP gold finish and - rare for dress watches - screw-down crowns for 100 metres of water resistance.
According to Orient' spokesman, the idea was to ensure absolute longevity and inheritance, two things that we do very often indeed with our old Orients.
Personally i wish they were no-dates, but i admit i'm being picky. Everything is simply too good.
Price is around the equivalent of US$430, expensive for brazilian realities but extremely competitive against Orient of Japan' own Bambinos and Seiko' Presages, both of which are imported and hyped.
