I just wanted to know if this is a good base to start building an actual drawing around, I took a look at how other artists do their manequims and all, and also learned of the Aseprite reference layer, which I used to kinda build the manequim on top of, I'm not sure if tracing the proportions like this is cheating or not, but I only intend to use that layer for that foundation, and then probably delete the reference layer and have the reference image on another window, so that I cannot just trace over it for the final art.

Any feedback?

Any good beginner recs for classic DC Comics?

Just "essential stuff", I've read a few comics before, not many, the oldest probably being The Killing Joke (which I totally get the hype for now)

While I definetly do have a Superman and Batman bias, it doesn't need to be just focused on them or whatever.

Also keep in mind that while I have heard terms like "Pre-Crisis" and "Post-Crisis", and "Golden/Silver Age", that doesn't necessarely mean I have a great grasp of how this works or what period of time they were printed, etc.

Also when I say classic I mean mostly, around the 80's/90's, even early 2000's is probably cool as well, nothing against modern comics I just wanna read some early, influential stuff, if you know what I mean.

Just for context, of the comics by DC that I've read before, they are:

Superman: For All Seasons

Superman Smashes the Klan

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: The Killing Joke

A few Sandman books (I think Sandman is owned by DC, but personally I don't have much interest in him anymore, specially after the criminal allegations against Neil Gaiman)

JLA: Tower of Babel (at least I think that's from JLA? I don't remember, but I bet many here know what story I'm talking about by name alone)

Other than that my familiarity with DC is basically just the Batman Arkham games, the Batman Dark Knight Trilogy games, the original Superman movie, and some DCAU cartoons I grew up with like Justice Leauge/Justice League Unlimited and Static Shock.... oh and My Adventures With Superman Season 1, I need to watch the rest of it as well... and that's it.

Thanks
