I was buying something and when the sales girl and I were talking while I was shopping, I had mentioned that it was a gift for a friend. After she took my payment, she decided to gift wrap it for me (which was so nice of her!) and we stood and chatted a bit while she wrapped it, but because the item was an awkward shape, she was having trouble and had to restart several times. It took her a while to actually get it, and when she was done I said お疲れ様です. It was very lighthearted as we had been having pleasant conversation before that. She smiled and I don’t think it was received poorly, but maybe she thought I was an idiot and just didn’t say anything haha. Was that an appropriate time to say it? I didn’t think about it at all beforehand, it just kinda came out, but afterward I wasn’t sure.

Talk me down (or don’t 😎)!! I’ve been thinking about this dress nonstop since I saw it in Laforet earlier this year and didn’t buy it because I had already bought another dress. But it’s literally a PERFECT dress for me. I told myself I’d have to wait and play the secondhand game because that’s the responsible thing to do.

Well now I’m in a low-buy period to tame my finances (they’re not bad, but I definitely overspent recently and am trying to be responsible again) and I made the mistake of looking for something else that is within my budget (I allow myself to spend a certain amount weekly and I track all my purchases) and wound up stumbling across that dress (which I’ve previously been unable to find when scouring secondhand sites) 😭

I’m SO torn. I can afford it, but it would break my low buy. I wouldn’t be breaking the bank, but I know I’ll feel disappointed with myself for not sticking to the budget. But what if it’s years before I see it again in the specific colorway that I want?? I could wait and “save up”the money, but it will take three weeks to get to that amount (the price is reasonable right now and I’m worried about the price potentially going up if I have to wait and search for it later). I’ve been trying to sell some of my other clothes lately, so theoretically it could be faster, but things take time to sell and I’m so afraid of someone else buying this dress first. I can also just buy it and have a budget deficit for those three weeks but looking at the negative numbers will be so depressing lol. Ugh.

I’ve been an adult for like twelve whole years and making responsible adult decisions has not gotten any easier lol. Can anyone else relate??

Why can we color the generators but not the transmitters?? Their range is so small so we have to put out so many and it’s really throwing off the aesthetics of my builds in certain areas. If I could manifest one wish for the DLC, it would be a wider range of color-able items (and maybe as a bonus wish, I’d love a larger range of colors?? Like the fact that pastel purple is never a color option feels illegal to me but I’m not a lawyer so idk).

Edit: I really appreciate everyone leaving their hacks to hide the transmitters and I’m definitely going to try some of them! But my point is that we should not have to hide them at all, we should be able to color them to fit them into whatever we’re working on if we want to! I like the way they look and would gladly incorporate them if I could color them to match my projects.

I worked really hard for two weeks on this. It was on a subject that I am excited about and I just really genuinely enjoy getting to share my knowledge with other people, so when my boss asked me to be the one to do it I was honestly stoked. It’s the first presentation I’ve ever given in my life that I was not at all nervous for and when it was my turn to speak, I was just SO cool and confident (and if I may also say, pretty funny in a laid back, chill sort of way lol). It felt so natural and comfortable and I just breezed through it. I knew the answer to every question that was asked and didn’t have to BS at all. The demonstration portion went well too and I just felt really good about the engagement with it. Throughout the rest of the day, my boss went out of his way to thank me and tell me what a good job I did MULTIPLE times. He even asked me to forward my presentation documents to him so he could share them with his boss (who already loves me lol) and hype me up to her. I’ve been fighting for a better position at this job for a while now, so any points in my favor really help. Several of my colleagues also approached me during the day to thank me for my work and compliment me on how thorough and informative it was. Someone also said I’m a very entertaining presenter and honestly that tickled me.

I’m just feeling really good about it as I’ve never come away from a presentation feeling like I did this well before lol. Have a great evening y’all!
