Can you put you comic covers on the paintings?
There are frames scattered throughout the Abby, can you replace the classical paintings with your custom comic covers?
If not, how do you use your comic covers?

I logged in last night to try vault breaker and I got absolutely overwhelmed with faction rewards. Cryarch alone gave me 17 loot boxes, I literally had to take a break from opening them all. It was all material and credits, no gear. But in the Shop area I had a TON of free stuff too. Including a gold backpack for no reason that I can tell.
I guess I'm not complaining, other than it was a bit overwhelmed and my vault went from about 2/3 full to almost full. It just seemed a little over the top. Like, free gold gear just for not playing? I have imposture syndrome now.
I’ve never played Supreme Commander, but I’m interested in trying an RTS that really delivers on massive battles, huge armies, strategic zoom, and that feeling of managing an entire war rather than babysitting a small group of units.
Is Supreme Commander the best game for that, or has something released since then that meaningfully improved on the formula? I’ve heard about games like Beyond All Reason, Planetary Annihilation, and Sanctuary: Shattered Sun (but I know it's just a demo), but I’m not sure whether any of them offer a better overall experience.
I’m not bothered by an older game if it still holds up. Bonus points if your suggestion is available on GeForce Now. My laptop has an RTX 3050(?), so I’d prefer something that runs well locally or can be streamed without much trouble.
I think Midnight Suns would have been more entertaining, and the relationship system much more satisfying, if all the Marvel heroes had disliked and distrusted the Hunter at the beginning.
From their perspective, it would make sense. The Hunter is the mysterious child of Lilith, suddenly resurrected and placed at the center of their team. These are superheroes with their own egos and baggage, they really shouldn't be too impressed by all his accomplishments.
Instead, most of the characters give the Hunter an almost immediate level of love, respect, and admiration that doesn’t feel earned. You can choose some awkward dialogue options, give Captain America a birdhouse, and suddenly one of the most important heroes in the Marvel universe considers you his good friend.
Imagine if everyone started out cold or openly hostile. Then, as you succeeded in missions, made difficult decisions, and spent time learning about them, they slowly began to trust you. Some characters might warm up quickly, while others, especially people like Wolverine, Blade, or Tony, might take most of the game to come around.
That would have made every friendship level feel like an actual accomplishment. It also would have opened up more interesting "dark hunter" options that let you embrace the role of mysterious outsider.
This is my third time trying to get into this game and it finally got it's claws in me this time. I was thinking about what made the difference and I just really enjoy the rhythm of waking up, getting my upgrades, designing my deck for the days mission, doing the mission, and getting back to tinker with my new cosmetics and such.
I realized that the game doesn't really let you get into that flow for quite awhile. For the first several hours, you have to talk A LOT to the various characters in the abbey. There's a lot of special one-time events that pull you away from missions and progression. The dream sequences, meeting new characters, getting set up with the various clubs, and early game story events.
And as for the missions, they start slow. Many early missions choose your lineup for you, so you don't get to experiment much with different compositions. Similarly, the early cards aren't very interesting.
So yeah, your first several hours focus heavily on the weakest part of the game, IMO the relationship systems, and the combat isn't as interesting as it will become in the midgame onwards. But if you hang in there, the game really opens up and you get all sorts of options for building your team and having multiple types of deck to support them. Glad I did.
I had a friend (passionately) explain to me that Star Wars was so meaningful when it came out in theatres because many of the popular films of the late 70's were dark, gritty films with cynical themes like Taxi Driver and Dog Day Afternoon. He said that Star Wars felt so fresh and fun in that context because it was a return to adventure. Are there more films that we watch today and don't quite appreciate without this type of context (or would appreciate more)?
New player here. Got game two days ago and really still practicing in solo modes. Able to beat hard bots, but not all the time.
Question: what are some good goals per round?
I usually roll out chaff until round 4, then I start building t2 units. Not sure if that's optimal.
Also not sure when to stop making chaff, or when to start building t3 units.
I know you have to adapt on the fly sometimes. Just looking for general goals to have per round . . .
Seems like a fair number of legendary lords could be reworked to be legendary heroes or even special events. It would declutter the map and make a lot more sense lore wise. Some of these lords, like the White Dwarf guy, really aren't known for commanding kingdoms and having territory.
I'm not posting this in the BL sub because I think I'll get down voted to oblivion. I've really struggled to get into the latest BLs, despite them being so much better on paper.
I finally realized it's because BL guns seem to steer way more into the Sci fi category of energy weapons, gimmick guns, and other novelties. The new guns don't feel as punchy or visceral as I remember from bl2.
It's like 2k got bored with good old fashioned machine guns and power shotguns. Sure a pistol with a 4x scope that shoots tasers is fun sometimes. But the percentage of those kinds of guns feels too high.
I miss the old bandit weapons with massive clips and the vlad assualt rifles with their incredible sound design and muzzle flashes. Yeah, they're still around in BL4, but too many guns shoot colorful orbs and make squishy sounds, at least for my taste.
Does anyone else feel the weapon balance has skewed too far away for the 80s and 90s action vibe?

I was at a seminar with a coral belt who was very dismissive about handfighting. He talked about how it was better to "forearm fight" because it was harder for your opponent to grab your hands if you kept them glued (or at least close) to your chest.
I'll be honest, even though I have tremendous respect for anyone that earns a freaking coral belt, the idea of not handfighting seemed risky to me against a skilled wrestler.
In the moment, I couldn't really articulate my disagreement with the concept. What are the risks to not proactively handfighting?
I like coop games like AARPGs and shooters (Diablo, Vampire Survivors, Borderlands), but sometimes I just don't have the energy to be social looking for games with bots that mimick players, like the AI allies in Back4Blood.
Played the game at launch for 11 hours. Coming back now and I know there's lots of dlcs and such. Should I just mainline the story, or are there other game modes in the dlcs I could try? I'd love it if there was a mode with a faster progression so I don't have to grind out the story.
I infilled into outpost with a respectable kit only to find two free kit teammates. I was annoyed, if there's ever a time to be kitted out on outpost, it's now right?
Everyone takes off in different directions. No mic, no pings. It has all the signs of being a disaster run. One teammate is downed in minutes and disconnects. It's just me and a no mic free kit guy on outpost. I decide the best move is just to stick close to my remaining guy. He's zooming across the map, I can barely keep up with him. Sometimes he just runs past bots.
And suddenly, we open pinwheel. I didn't even realize he was collecting keycards. Once inside, the guy gets kitted up quick and starts tearing through everything. I'm helping, but he's clearly the leader and I'm basically just picking up the bones.
We loot the place dry. At one point, I run out of ammo and am just hiding behind him. Dude is a murder machine. He's even stealth knifing bots. We stay until the last guarded exfill, hits it himself while I'm struggling to catch up. By the time I arrive he's basically cleared it and popped his smoke, just patiently waiting for me.
Extract with 15k loot value, which is huge for me as a casual player. I'll never pre-judge free kit players again
For me, my big learning is that I absolutely need to be more fearless with taking gear out. I'm a mediocre player and despite constant failure and frustration, my vault is basically always full of everything I need. I've learned that playing broke with rook and sponsored runs is a style of play that I've closed myself off too because of how conservative I play. Looking forward to changing my mindset next month.
I feel like I can’t even enjoy Marathon without my entire YouTube feed trying to convince me the game is already a corpse. Every time I open the app it’s another guy with a shocked thumbnail talking about how “Bungie is panicking” or “Marathon is officially DEAD!"
The entire conversation around the game has turned into people farming engagement for their monetised channels. It's a content meta that streamers follow around like a herd. They care about their views and comments, not the game.
Even guys like Aztecross, who you can tell like the game and don't want to engage in the youtube meta, you can tell they basically have to make content speculating about the state of the game because the engagement is just too good.
And its hard to tune out or tweak my algorithm, because youtube is like "okay this guy clearly likes Marathon content" give him moar!
Shout out to some of the good streamers like Seraph and Marshyy, who just play the game, have fun and make helpful content. They probably could have more successful channels if they doomposted but they don't.
I think many players have a handful of factions that they like to play. I might like to play Orion, but sometimes those first 25 turns are the same experience each time. It can get a little stale.
But what if the next time I played, Skarbrand spawned smack dab in Bretonnia with a big enough army that he nukes a couple settlements. Everything gets thrown on it's head. As I head east, I discover that Teclis started in Empire territory, and now owns several provinces south of Kislev. That could really make for some memorable playthroughs. Nothing crazy, just a few wild cards on the map.
I know that CA have dabbled in this with some lords like Aslan and Mother Stinky, but it feels like those are mostly player mechanics that don't affect you very much if you're not playing as those lords. Lore wise, there are a number of LL's that you could more or less justify spawning anywhere. Or maybe you can weight it so that lords like N'Kari are more likely to spawn on the doughnut or the northern parts of the map, but will occasionally spawn in Lustria or somewhere unexpected.
Also, it there are any mods that do this or similar things, I'd love to know about it!
I definitely did something bad. It was one of those missions where you don't have molly, you have the fixed platform. I felt terrible, don't want to do it again.
EDIT: Thanks, yall. I get it now. I was worried that by me throwing it in the grinder, we lost the gold or something. We all did ping it several times, then someone threw it near the grinder, and I thought, "Oh hey, I can be helpful!"
New player here. Bounced onto this game after crashing out on Marathon (which is awesome and the game needs more players btw).
DRG is so chill and fun. I've been hearing about it for years and now I'm kicking myself for not trying it earlier. The game is so quirky and I've legit bonded with some bros on tough missions. Community seems like they're almost role-playing the game. Grown men telling me to rock and stone with no irony.
One question, I've really committed to playing the scout until lvl 25 to unlock all his stuff. Then I'll move onto the next one. Any huge downside to doing that?
