Buying BP frags feels so cheap and unrewarding

I play solo. I just joined an official monthly server that still has high pop despite that it wiped 2 weeks. Got my basic starter down and blabla.

Got a basic kit etc, a wb 1 and such and natural next step is of course wb2.

I go for a monument, fight a bit, manage to secure a bp frag and rush home.

I buy a boat for 125 scrap, go out and loot underwater crates, find another one. Even tried some metal detecting near roads.

A couple hours pass and I now have 4 bp's.

I feel like this route to get them is what Facepunch mostly intended.

Chilling in my base during nighttime, I decide to check the map, and players are selling them for 200 sulf or like 3 red barrels worth of crude.

I would be dumb not just to farm for 5-10 minutes and buy all 5 at a drone shop.

But it just feels so cheap. It feels unrewarding. Obviously on wipe day prices are different, but it just feels so unbelievably lame that a couple of days into a wipe basic frags are essentially free to buy which bypasses/skips a major progression element of the game.

And yes, ofc I can just choose to not buy them and continue getting them on my own, but it just shouldn't work like this. It is unbelievably poor gameplay design the way these frags (and to a degree, shops) are implemented.

I know I sound like a broken clock writing this, but still.. I really hope Facepunch decides to evaluate if this really is the best way to go about progression.

Got to plat by slowing the fuck down

Been stuck on gold for ages. Recently changed my playstyle a little bit which meant slowing down, ie not always going 500 km/h across the map. Was so deep into trying to learn advanced mechanics and try every impossible shot that rarely panned out.

But then i tried to just slow down a bit. Even literally standing still sometimes in just a good position and wait for a t8 to pass the ball or finish their play naturally. Scored a lot more this way. Dont need to insane air dribble 9000 when you're in the right place at the right time. Teammate making a play? I watch my opponents both attack him, meanwhile I just chill somewhat central position, and half the time the ball will naturally end up there, and I can score on an open goal.

Basically, i think i finally understand that the most important thing to learn is positioning.

TIL: Microsoft and Johnson & Johnson has a higher credit-rating than the US Government, the only 2 companies to have an AAA score. (US Government has an AA+ score)

TIL Denmark still has plenty of bars where you can smoke indoors. If the establishment is under a certain size and doesn't serve hot food, it's up to the owner to set their own smoking rules.

i fucking love scandinavian summers

Woke up to students screaming from their studervogn. I went to a park with some friends to have some beers, left my stuff without fear on a table to go swim in the lake and it was of course still there when we got back. Some random old dude walked into the water naked and no one thought twice about it.

We got talking to some guys and and ended up on some dudes rooftop balcony a few hours later,. More beers and weirdly, but highly enjoyable, fresh produce, strawberries and fresh peas in mass.

We went downstairs to the sea to dip, and some dudes were blasting love songs on a soundboks, a random girl dropped her bikini. Some guy yelled "thomas and marie just got engaged!" to literal cheers from strangers.

We hit a supermarket nearby, bought a case of beers, shared it with strangers.

Hit the town to dance in some clubs, no dress code, just warm as fuck, but no one cared about my sweating and everyone around us just seemed happy.

Eventually walked home at about 1am in almost daylight, a group of teenagers on my way just enjoying life without their parents sat on a bench vibing. City still alive and I felt safe and unbothered. No one trying to impress anyone. You could be a billionaire in Dubai, but never experience this.

You genuinely cannot buy this. Scandi summers are peak "life".

Skins that has unique properties?

We all know about gun skins with different sights or weapons that can glow-in-the-dark, but what about skins with actual different properties from the main item / comparable items? I don't mean a different model/visual, but actual different properties.

Maybe useful, maybe borderline p2w, maybe super niche.

I can contribute with the following:

Cursed Cauldron:

Campfire skin, but you can't take fire damage from it.

Surgeon Scrubs:

Doesn't require a workbench to craft. Also waterproof. Alternative item are Ninja Suit (unobtainable drop). Or egg suit

Large Candle set:

Gives light/illumination, but doesnt require fuel or electricity

Brick building skin:

You can't fall off the inverted roof tiles without jumping, but with other building skins you will.

Arctic Hazmat:

Skin for hazmat suit but provides cold protection

Sofa item:

Gives 100% comfort, but doesnt require a BP compared to plastic chair, which does need a BP.

favourite movies where incestuous relationships with your grandmother, mother, and daughter would be considered understood by society?

In 2006, for the first time in Danish history, a news channel purchased a heli and was widely mocked for their extravagant spending. It quickly gained notoriety for capturing the dramatic street riots during the Ungdomshuset raid. Ironic, given the Danish police have never owned a single helicopter

On the first summer day of the year, I noticed a pungent smell from my inaccessible attic. I got myself drunk to get the courage to open the small inspection door, and found two dead rats in traps I placed last season. What are the odds they've been there since the last season, vs new?

Spent a fortune about 6 months ago to get the attic "rodent sealed". Back then I heard active scratching/pest noise and got several "kills" from, traps, just before winter arrived. They said they fixed gap, winter came, and I didn't hear anything/smell anything for months. It is now the first day of summer, I got myself wasted and ventured up/in there and found two bodies in two traps. Are these two bodies reasonably from last season or is there still a gap/entrance we didn't find? Winters here are sub zero and freezing, but today is 22c/71F (hottest day of the year).
