Was there anything you said or did that helped your primary doctor help take your concern about having POTS seriously?

I’m seeing a new primary doctor this month and have serious concerns that I have POTS. My last doctor told me it was all anxiety and wanted to push multiple anxiety medications on me without any testing or listening to me.

I’ve always had a lot of health issues but since moving to a humid southern state a few years ago my symptoms have worsened drastically which led to doing a ton of research on my own and POTS seems to explain all my symptoms.

I was debating if should journal my heart rate the week before I go in? I keep track of it on my watch. Typically it’ll be in the 80s when sitting. The second I stand up and walk even to my kitchen it’s in the low to mid 100s. The second I try to do anything (sweeping, walking my dog etc) it’s in the mid 100s to low 200s.

Remote workers- what do you do for a living?

I keep seeing a ton of people on this sub say they work remote / WFH, and I’m trying to figure out what everyone actually does for a living that allows them to relocate.

How different is paralegal work in reality compared to what you expected?

I’m still trying to figure out if becoming a paralegal is the right path for me, so I wanted to ask people actually in the field.

How different is the job in real life compared to what you expected before studying or starting out?
Like was it pretty close to what you thought it would be, or totally different once you got into it?

I’d really like to know things like:
what surprised you most about the job
anything you wish you knew before starting
and if you’d still choose this path knowing what you know now

What’s your unpopular opinion(s) about the show?

One of mine is that Kendall in S6 was a BRAT. All the tantrums and walking out. Especially her whole “I have a voice now and I’m going to use it” scene.

Edit: Well, I didn’t realize having an opinion about a reality show that aired years ago would make me such a horrible person. The comments and DMs over this are honestly wild.
There’s nothing wrong with saying a child was acting like a brat in a specific moment. Kids have bratty moments. Adults have bratty moments. Pointing that out isn’t a personal attack… it’s an opinion about behavior shown on a TV show.
Y’all are taking this way more seriously than I am. Sorry for calling it how I saw it.
Actually, no. Not sorry.

How similar is the social studies Ready Test compared to the real exam?

I took the GED ready exam today for social studies and received a 161 so I went ahead and scheduled my real exam for next week, but I’m nervous still

When did you know you were ready to schedule your test?

A few weeks ago I took the plunge and decided I wanted to get my GED. I’ve decided I want to start with Social Studies and have been studying, but I’m not sure when to pull the trigger on scheduling my first test.

Anyone in the group get into real estate only to hate it?

I got into real estate last October. I closed my first buyer side transaction about three months in and had three active listings, but I ended up leaving my firm because the BIC was a nightmare. She was sabotaging deals, smoking weed and drinking at the office every day, provided no training, kept her phone on DND most of the time, and encouraged illegal real estate practices.

I joined a new brokerage about two months ago. The BIC is much better, there’s no drama, and I’m actually getting proper training. Right now I have one listing and an active buyer I’m showing houses to.

I’m definitely happier at my new brokerage, but I’m realizing I really don’t enjoy real estate. About 90% of the people I talk to through Zillow leads are incredibly rude. People treat Realtors like trash, including other Realtors. I dread every work call or text that comes through. I’m just burned out and miss the idea of having a job with steady pay and a regular schedule.

I’m trying to convince myself to stick it out until January so I can hopefully earn back some of the money I’ve invested before dues come around again. Any advice on how to keep going until then when I’m this miserable?
