My mom (66) got diagnosed yesterday. We don’t know a stage. She feels fine but is very jaundice. Everyone is telling us she WILL die of this. Is there any hope? Could we really only have a few months left?

Hi everyone, my husband and I have recently gotten into homesteading a little bit more. We got some chickens and some ducks and are just prioritizing slower living. We have a six-year-old and a one year-old two dogs and two cats. We bought a house about a year ago on an acre of land it’s a 2500 square-foot house and we are highly considering selling our house and buying a 10 acre piece of property and either putting an RV on it or a mobile home and eventually building there. Has anybody done that? Is having more land worth having a much smaller house with two kids, or is this a crazy idea? Right now our home loan is for $300,000 and our downsizing plan will cost about 120,000 in loans so that aspect would definitely be nice.
Hi everyone! I started at the gym just a few months ago. I’m loving it, but I only do cardio. Will this get me anywhere? I do around 2 miles on the treadmill 3x a week. I want to add Pilates 3x a week at home!
My 6 year old son has been diagnosed with ADHD for 2 years. We started trialing medication last summer. We started with adderall and was really freaked out with how “cracked out” he was acting. I don’t know how else to say it. He was in his room hyper fixating on organizing tiny legos by color and size. It was super weird so we stopped after 2 days. He also was staying up until midnight. This was a year ago. Next, we tried guaficine (?) and it did nothing after 3 weeks. After that, we tried Vyvanse. That worked great for around 8 months, but then he started getting super depressed. He would say things like he deserves nothing and he’s the worst kid ever. We stopped that, and 3 months ago got him back on guaficine. It was working great until 2 weeks ago and again, super depressed and crying about everything.
We have an appointment Saturday. He’s been unmediated for 2 weeks and life has been hell. He is absolutely INSANE and can not focus at all. He is extremely smart, the head of his class and reading at 2nd grade level.
Any suggestions on med route? Should we try adderall again with a SSRI?
We are desperate to rehome our herding dog. He does not do well with strangers or kids!!! Vet recommended rehoming, and the APA said he would be euthanized. We are desperate to find someone very patient to take him. He’s never bit, but has tried many times.
Hi everyone. To make a long story short, we are desperate to rehome our 15 month old herding dog. He is starting to nip at our six-year-old and growled a few times at him. He does good with other dogs, but definitely needs time to warm up to other people. He would probably do best in a house with no other dogs and no children. He really is a great dog, but I think is overwhelmed in our environment.
Hi everyone. Please no hate. We have a beautiful 15 month old Australian Shepherd mix that we need to rehome per the advice of our trainer and vet. He is good with adults once he gets comfortable, but he is a little nippy at children. He does great with our one year-old, but is starting to get increasingly more snippy at our six-year-old and we cannot take any chances. Is there anyone that is looking for a dog and has experience with this type of dog?
