Loss of state assistance?
If i receive help from the state (WIC, Medicaid, etc.), will i lose those if i put my baby’s father on child? This is the only thing holding me back.

So i came back from maternity leave back in June. And I am so thankful that starbucks can accommodate me with pumping breaks. I have to pump every 3 hours because im an over supplied and will be so engorged if i wait. So my accommodation is i’m allowed 30 min breaks every 3 hours. This was all sent to my manager. We discussed the whole process prior to me returning.
So if i work 4 hours, id only pump once. But when it starts pushing 5+ i need to pump twice. And 8 hours pretty much twice or sometimes 3 times.
My hours of pumping is 3am, 6am, 9am….you get the idea. So i worked from 4:30a-12:30pm today, and that automatically gives me 3 breaks (30mins, 30mins, and a 10). I pump for 20 mins and then have 10 mins to use the bathroom and clean up my pumping parts and what not. So i go on my first 2 pumping breaks, and i settled for pumping my 12 hour pump time at home, since i get off around then and i live close by. So as 11am is approaching, im wondering when I’ll get my last 10 so i can actually sit and relax without having to pump. 11:30 comes by and i go up to her and ask her for my last break. And her response was “I already gave you two 30s”.
I don’t know if im crazy, but I was immediately pissed off by that. It’s on play caller that i get 3, i’m working a literal 8 hour shift. And for her to say that to me and deny my break is insane. Plus i had to do fall training today, so her excuse was, you’ll be sitting down for a few mins anyways for training.
That’s not a break. I wanted to check up on my baby and everything. So i go to do the training and pull out my phone to just text to see how my daughter is doing. My manager comes to the back and tells me to get off my phone. So not only did i get denied my break, but now i can’t check on my baby? IM ALSO A PARTNER OF NEARLY 6 YEARS, so I don’t really pay much attention to pumpkin spice season videos unless there’s new stuff.
My manager has repeatedly caused me issues with pumping when i let her know that i need to take my breaks to pump, especially when im pushing 4+ hours after my last pump (they forget to give out breaks and has them all backed up). She even argued with me once saying that my accommodation isn’t every 3 hours, it’s 4. She immediately knew she was wrong once she went back to check.
Can i report this? Because frankly im getting tired of it. And i feel like she just has a problem with me ever since i came back from maternity leave.
Long story short I got pregnant when i moved to washington and moved back to florida to have baby and be with family. Baby’s Father knows about baby and refused to help but wanted me to let him know how the baby is doing. Completely unfair to me and the baby, so i refused because why would you wanna know everything but not provide any help nor care about us.
Baby is 5 months old and i want to put him on child support. He needs to take accountability. But apparently in florida it’s a shared custody state? I refuse to have my baby go anywhere near him and his gf who has both called me out of my name and keeps telling me i should’ve killed my baby. I fear they will do something to hurt her.
Is there a way to not share custody? Since father resides in Washington i know it would be a difficult situation. I have text messages to prove everything and how they want nothing to do with baby and laughing about me not killing her.
Just want to know more about this child support situation.
FTM to a 4 month old. I’ve had anxiety before baby so you can imagine it now.
Went to the ER June 15th because baby kept stiffing up and kind of spasm like movements. Couldn’t catch it on camera but i was worried.
Was referred from a pediatrician to go see the neurologist and they did zero tests and just sat down and said it’s probably sandifer syndrome and that they don’t want to waste an appointment in neurology for someone who actually doesn’t need it.Supposedly due to her reflux, but her reflux is pretty much nonexistent.
Fast forward to today, she’s been having those same spasms where she looks scared or surprised. I finally get to record it and immediately book a same day appointment.
As i’m playing the video the doctor makes a face and then proceeds to ask to replay it. She immediately says we need to see a neurologist because it looks like there’s definitely something going on and she’s pretty sure it’s infantile spasms.
My heart literally drops and i immediately start thinking the worst. And seconds later i’m so pissed. It’s been nearly a month! With my baby having this, whatever it is, and i was gaslit into thinking it was reflux. All because they didn’t want to possibly waste a spot in neurology.
I’m scared that if she does have this, so much damage was already done. When they could’ve possibly caught it on June 15.
My family always think i’m overthinking when i see things that don’t look normal and they make me feel like im crazy, but turns out im not. And this has possibly saved my baby from so much.
Edit #1 7/10/26: Thank you all for the comments and prayers. Currently waiting on the referral to go through so i can take her to see a neurologist ASAP. I wish i could simply take her to the hospital instead of waiting for hours for the referral and call back.
So baby is suspected to have mild intolerance to dairy. So i’ve been avoiding it religiously. Today however i ate something that i was told doesnt have dairy but i did indeed have dairy.
What’s the best way to pump and dump (won’t actually dump i will freeze) this milk? How many hours after should i freeze the milk?
I’m kind of an oversupplier. So i can afford to freeze every pump for the next 12-24 hours.
Curious to know the age gap between your first born and second. I’m a single mother and i want another baby. What age gap do you recommend?? I don’t think i want to go more than 5 years but i wanna hear your stories. especially the single moms out there
Hi i’m a 25F who had a baby back in february. Looking for a personal trainer to get tone and lean. Want to lose 100+ lbs. Lost 100lbs back in 2021-2023. So this will be my 2nd time.
Hoping to find someone not too pricey. I’m open to group workouts as well.
Looking for someone in the Miami Gardens, Pembroke, or Hollywood area.
realistically i want to start working out next year since im currently breastfeeding. But I want to see what’s out there just in case i end up stop breastfeeding next month or so.
Does consuming dairy too a lot of damage to babies with non severe CMPA? Just like a sensitivity?
My baby only has mucus in her stools and that’s the only indication that she could possibly have CMPA or a sensitivity to cows milk.
I don’t cook often so i pretty much eat what my family cooks and they usually cook with some form of dairy so i can’t completely cut it out right now.
Baby is almost 4 months so it’s been a while that she’s had dairy in her system but other than the mucus in stools, she’s thriving.
I’ve tried cutting it out completely but there has always been some kind of food with hidden dairy i wasn’t aware of.
I’m currently 14 w pp and successfully weaned off of labetalol 100mg 2 times daily. Last pill was April 9 with BP reading around 110s/70s!
Only thing that changed was my increased heart palpitations(skipping beats). I do have pretty bad anxiety but they were never this bad. I have the sensation all day everyday. Skips a beat every few mins.
Cardiologist hasn’t done an echo since i had one back in october. But they did a monitor and told me everything was fine. But the sensation bothers me so much.
Anyone had this before? Could it be my anxiety that’s making my heart stressed? I don’t feel anxious but i could be very unaware that I am.

So currently 2 AM. And i’m 10 weeks PP. Been extremely tired at nights now and i feel kinda like i’m hallucinating while awake. I wake every time baby cries but it just feels hazy and i can’t fully wake up. It to the point where i don’t even pump anymore at night because my body sleeps through my alarm.
Today i was taking baby out of bassinet for her 2 AM feeding and i hit her head on the bassinet opening. That definitely woke me up but i feel like shit because i’m so sleep deprived and my body has had enough. She’s okay, she cried for a couple seconds but omg do i feel like a bad mom. I don’t know how I’ll be able to keep going if my body is so exhausted.
I’m curious on how many people has hit their baby heads on something. I feel like i causes her brain damage(ik i haven’t but very anxious mama). I kept checking her soft spot to make sure it’s okay and that i didn’t hit it. But she’s been fine.
