context: me and my friend are running a pro-mj subreddit. but lately we've encountered several backhanded comments about michael and his legacy. we have a strict rules on guilters which results in automatic permanent ban. however theyre getting tougher to spot since they no longer blatantly say the 'obvious.' but we can tell there is always something a tad off in their remarks. mainly the passive aggressiveness. we dont want to entertain the negativity but sometimes asking question is the only option to filter them out. even that doesnt make things easier. with that being said, we also dont want to brigade so we cant mention any users specifically. we just like the subreddit to be a safe space for mj supporters filled with love and respect.

for those who have often dealt and encountered with them online, are there any 'telltale' signs or easier ways to spot them through their comments? anything that would help would be appreciated.

im aware that specific contexts are heavily required to be able to provide the appropriate tips but this is as far as i can disclose for now. i have no intent on offending anyone. it's also my first time modding and we've been trying our best to keep the space healthy, but it's been challenging with the swarm of negativity sometimes. i still dont even know whats the right way to call these type of guilters🤷🏻‍♀️

in addition, this isnt exclusive to our subreddit but also on comments and posts ive encountered in other pro-mj subs. they are lurking everywhere.
