What do people who don’t like to party do socially in the evenings?

Don’t drink much and definitely don’t like going to club/bar parties but want to socialize and do something from time to time as I move there next month… Wonder what people who moved/live there do? Haha I know there’s like trivia nights sometimes but apart from that and going on dinners? What do you do? Are there like board game nights, even movie nights? Haha Or you just have to have a fun friend group?

also if you have any general social activities official or unofficial you like doing? I stayed in a hostel before so it was easy to meet people and find something to do together but kinda worried (as an introvert) to have difficulty being social (I know it’s Siargao so there’s always something) but just a bit anxious about this

Is it better to find a place to rent online or in the island?

I’ve been looking for a place online and offers doesn’t justify the actual place. I know that rate is generally higher but I wonder if I could get a better deal looking when I’m in the island already?

Looking for a studio or 1br with 15-18K budget.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Has anyone here ordered liquid products from Amazon before?

How did they arrive after the long shipping? Any issues with leaks, damaged packaging, or the product itself?

I'm considering ordering a few items I can't find locally (or that are much more affordable on Amazon) for an upcoming trip, mainly sunscreen, sun care, and tanning products.

I'm looking for a specific reef-safe brand that I haven't been able to find at S&R, Landers, or on local shopping apps.

I've already done the math, and since I'm ordering several items, the free shipping and even with some fees still makes it worth it.

My only concern is whether liquid products are packed well enough for international shipping and if they generally arrive without issues.

Does anyone know a studio or 1br place for rent place…

I might have better luck here…

• Around GL or nearby areas like Sta. Fe or Malinao
• 1-2 months stay
• Would need wifi, private bath, open to shared kitchen
• Quiet and walkable/accessible area
• Budget: 15K with a wiggle room

I wonder if rent prices are much higher online than when you’re actually in the island looking… any thoughts?

What apps do the guys looking for genuine dating / relationships internationally use?

Whether while traveling or looking to travel to date internationally, just as long as someone’s looking for long term.

I’m from SEA who has always connected well with international friends and my almost romantic relationship experience have been with a guy from accross the world lol. Like many of you here who wants to travel outside your home country, for sooo many reasons I do too. Just generally more chance of finding someone I can connect better and match with, intellectually, emotionally and some values as well.

I’ve realized lately that I’ve always just been busy with all other things in my life but dating, so I do wanna date intentionally.

I know there are a lot of pros and cons dating someone ldr and other cultures. I also know that, there will be a lot of questions as to my preference but it is what it is.

All that to say, what apps? Hahaha

Spontaneous airbnb staycation in Pasay

I have always lived alone and moved back home late last year… it’s been stressful at work and needed alone time haha I just wanna be able to have a day to myself at home without anyone talking to me. So I booked this and 2hrs later, I got there to just sleep, ordered Grab, watch a movie, walked along Roxas Blvd….

Planning to be based there for 3 Months, wanna hear from those who moved there.

I stayed for a month last year and would’ve stayed longer, but I had to head back home.

I’m currently in a season where I really need slower island living away from the city while I figure out my next steps career-wise. I know it can be touristy and not always the “slow life” all the time, but I’ve experienced it already and I’m still drawn to it and the kind of life I want for now.

I really love the social side and doing activities, but I also enjoy the chill, slow, lounging lifestylexxz so I’m hoping to find a good balance of both.

Would love to hear from anyone who’s been based there for a while:

How did you prepare for longer stays, and what challenges came up?

What’s the day-to-day reality like compared to just being there on vacation?

How was it meeting people and building friendships long-term (vs hostel life)?

Do you actually need a scooter the whole time, or are there ways around it without spending too much?

Any areas you’d recommend for longer stays that are budget-friendly but still livable?

How did you handle internet and power interruption, any setups that worked?

Would really appreciate any practical advice or personal experiences 🙏

Trying an intro class - do I need a prescription dive mask?

I have eye grade of 600+. I can do contact lenses which I use when swimming.

Since I’m just gonna do an intro class, do I need to get a prescription dive mask before going or I can do with regular one + my contacts?
