Does anyone remember the cool external chat room tools to make your text wavy and rainbow colored?

I can't remember the name of the one I used but I also used it as spyware on the family computer to record key strokes and I got everyone's passwords with it. 😭

Feeling nostalgic about the old days on the Internet. I didn't go as deep as most but I remember using LiveJournal, and clogging the computer up with screen pets, and rotten dot com, and being obsessed with dollz, and learning html code for my LiveJournal (I don't think I used Myspace much when it came around) I was 12 LOL

Those were the days weren't they?

To this day I have never admitted to being the cause of a bricked family PC.

El Nino question

I'm in northeast Florida and I'm trying to mentally prepare for higher than average rainfall this winter, but I realized I don't know the answer to the following...

Does an El Nino make it more or less likely to have nor'easter type storms on the east coast?

Every detour and every stop was worth it.

"I explored the southern half of the county" is the only way to frame "I had a 100 mile a day commute" without going crazy.

I'm relieved to return to my normal routines, but I will miss the daily opportunities to find something new, or something old that I had forgotten.

Midsummer tour of the carnivores.

The sarracenia in the tub look so bad because I flooded it in February and then it didn't rain until almost June. A fun experiment but next year I think I'll keep it watered.

The River St. Johns

Found this song this week and I'm a little obsessed. Figured I would pair it with some of my favorite photos of our River St Johns over the years.

Found a little patch of Sarracenia Minor today.

They don't look too bad considering how dry that area is.

St. Johns County, Florida.

Happy thunderstorm season y'all!

I embraced my inner storm chaser this week.

All of this footage was taken between June 15 and June 21 in St. Johns County.

Curious baby armadillos

We've been watching these guys grow for about a month and a half now.

I have this giant press I will never use and I would like to sell it. The wood is bad but I believe all the metal parts are there.

What is something like this worth? I'm in Florida so it would probably have to be a local sale. The stand and screw are about 5 feet tall.

Is there somewhere I should look for a makers mark?

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate subreddit, I figured I'd try here first.

I know what to do with coals or a fire and cast iron but my creativity dies when even charcoal might be a bad idea.
