Manors multi-storey shot by me
Everyone has mixed opinions on the Swanhouse roundabout area but I bloody LOVE it. By far one of the most fascinating parts of the city for me; loads of brutalist mixed with old school architecture - to me just embodies the exact vibe of the rest of the city
Photos I took at the Li River in Yangshuo, now hanging on my wall
Pictures I took from Milano, May 2026
From my recent work trip to Milan. What a beautiful city.
Another photo from a while back that I got of Blakelaw Flats, now proudly hanging above my fireplace!
Growing up in the west end I’ve always felt that it gets pushed to the side - no metro links, no venues for live music, much less government funding / support for new and emerging businesses - and sadly not much encouragement for a creative scene. Hopefully with time this changes; I’m already starting to see it a bit!
Do you guys prefer the really nice ornate architecture of places like Grey Street, or does the brutalist style have an equal place of love for you guys? I feel like the city has a really good measure of both!
Which style do you think works best? Short beard, clean, stubble or tash?
Came to Broken Hill NSW for work earlier this year - what a place! Had to get this onto my wall
Having my own art above my own fireplace is my own little flex
Made a pig’s ear out of this but love an upside down start
Been taking pics of Newcastle for years and finally started getting them off my camera and onto walls
Always found it a bit sad how many photos we take just end up sitting on our camera roll and so I nudged my arse to get them off the phone and into actual physical prints.
This is the entrance to Manors Car Park which I always thought has been weirdly lush despite it being objectively a bit grim 🤣
Curious if anyone else has any favourite “ugly but nice” spots around Newcastle to photograph?
