Also I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce a new piece I’m working on. It’s on Royal Road.

The book title is Shinkenkai. The first part of this world I’m planning to build is called “Grand Magus, Wooden Sword.”

Blurb:

The realms of Shinkenkai are drowning in the blood of clan wars. While the Serpent and Lotus alliances sharpen their steel for the return of the Demon King, Musashi, a man of culture, is practicing his posture.

Musashi has the tactical mind of a century-old general and the social skills of a rock. When he receives a legendary staff from a Grand Magus, he doesn't use it to save the world, he turns it into a wooden practice sword.

He doesn't know the weapon is sentient. He doesn't know it’s screaming every time he hits a dummy. And he definitely doesn't know that the Demon King is coming for him.

The weapon is an ego-maniacal entity now forced to live life as a blunt piece of timber.

"I WAS CARVED FROM THE WORLD TREE! I HAVE DRUNK THE BLOOD OF GODS! STOP USING MY HILT TO SCRATCH YOUR LOWER BACK, YOU INFIDEL!"

In Shinkenkai, everyone fights with steel and sorcery, maybe sometimes a bit of mischief. Musashi just has a very upset stick. Heaven help the person who makes him use it.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

From a boy with a stick to a master of the "True Sword."

A legendary artifact forced to live life as a blunt wooden toy.

Clan battles, and maybe some bloodshed

An MC who acts like an old master, even if he can't remember why.

High-stakes drama balanced by the chaotic puberty of two "men of distinction."

TL;DR: The Beginning After The End meets Musashi, with a sentient weapon that is very upset about its career change.

Hey y’all,

I have been writing for a while now, trying to figure out my “world”, characters, stats, maps, and which direction I ultimately am going with this story. I realized that I’m not going anywhere trying to perfect the story. It will never be perfect. All I can do is start. So here I am. 

My inspiration for this writeup is coming from a few legendary manhwas. Some books and games too. For example, I just finished reading The Greatest Estate Developer. That one was 🔥. I’m so glad I let that marinate. I went through a roller coaster of emotions. More importantly, my cheeks hurt so much from laughing almost every chapter.

That’s one of my goals. I want my readers to have fun and enjoy the read. I want them crying from laughter. There’s so much negativity going on in the world today, and I hope by writing this story, I can alleviate some of that. 

Another manhwa I’m following closely is Return of Mt. Hua sect. That one is also a mix of action, comedy, drama, you name it. 

I don’t know if I can reach the level of these legends, but I figured the best way to know would be to start. So I’m taking this weekly writing seriously.
