Lois didn't crash out ENOUGH

Lois is a strong soldier because if

  1. I had five kids, and three out of the five were like Francis, Malcolm, and Reese

  2. I Had a pushover crybaby for a husband like Hal

  3. I Was overworked and underpaid at a pharmacy job

  4. I Was constantly in debt

  5. My husband was blowing off every Friday of the work week

  6. My mother was a cold bitch like Ida

My crash-outs and meltdowns would be ten times worse

My theory as to why gen 3 failed

THIS IS NOT A GEN THREE HATE POST! I ACTUALLY DO LIKE THIS GEN!!! This is just an observation.

  1. The aesthetic of the show. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe S5 was filmed around the time Skins US was, and Bryan Elsley was taking a break from writing the UK version to focus on the US version, and his son took over as the primary writer.

  2. Franky's character: By the time Elsley returned, he decided he hated the way Franky was portrayed and decided to turn her into Effy 2.0, which horribly backfired.

  3. Lack of connection to past generations: Now, I'm not necessarily saying Effy needed to come back for Gen 3, but I think if they had used a younger sibling or at least made one of the characters a cousin of a Gen 1/2 character, the audience probably would've felt more connected to the new cast.

4: Too many characters with not enough backstory or substance.

Looking back at Taylor and Olandria’s connection

I posted a discussion on here a while back titled “aren’t they supposed to explore” and said Taylor explored disrespectfully to which I got a lot of backlash for. So, let me rephrase. Also, if I’m missing anything in this analysis at all pls lmk.

Taylor was DISHONEST to Olandria the whole time. They were coupled up since day one, he never really explored but also didn’t tell Ola straight up that he wasn’t feeling her. I know a lot of people say they were expecting him to switch up in casa but honestly I wasn’t. And yeah maybe I’m a dummy for that but I thought they were one of the stronger connections at the time.

Bottom line though he just used Ola to stay there longer until he found Clarke. Bc like why would you act like ur so into her when Jalen who actually WANTED Olandria comes in, and then when Jalen’s out and ur in casa you can finally do your thing? Like bro that’s sneaky.

So, no. I don’t think Ola’s crash out was unwarranted or cringe. She wanted him the whole time and made it clear it was all Taylor Taylor Taylor and he wasn’t on the same wavelength and never said anything about how he was feeling to her once until the SOB challenge where he’s like “I’m not moving to keep you here”. Yet you wouldn’t have even made it as far as you did had she picked Jalen? PLEASE

Hal telling Malcolm he couldn't study abroad made me really sad

I just started season 5 and watched the last two episodes of s4 back to back. For some reason, it hit me super hard when Hal looked at Malcolm and basically said no staying here and figuring out me and your mom's shit is more important than you getting a full ride abroad. I understand where Hal was coming from; I do, but I definitely think this moment isn't talked about enough and is one of the rare moments I actually felt bad for Malcolm.

BAELA WHY

I know Alyn and Baela get married eventually in the book, but like- WHAT WAS THAT SCENE?! It felt so awkward and not smooth at all and like- am I the only one who thought she was maybe into Addam over Alyn?

Sincere makes Keenan look like a saint

I watched s5 a year ago and genuinely thought Keenan was the worst islander I've ever seen, but I gotta say, I think Sincere takes that title now.

I see both sides w Rhaenyra and Corlys argument

Think about it: this is the same woman who since she gave birth to Jace has had to deal with rumors of her sons by Laenor being bastards (obviously they’re not just rumors but that’s not the point). Why would she then legitimize her hands bastard son?

Not saying that Corlys’s anger wasn’t justified. This man has lost almost everything at this point. His wife, his son and daughter, his brother, two grandchildren. And he just asked that the queen do this one favor for him. It would kinda be a slap in the face especially seeing as you nominated two targ bastards to ride dragons that Jaehaerys and Alysanne rode.

Rhaena acting like she's the only Targ to never have a dragon

Rhaena has been pissing me off so bad, and this episode made me even angrier at her. I really wish they had created Nettles for the show and not touched Rhaena's character or plot line.

She's so eager to prove herself but doesn't realize she's doing herself more harm than good by claiming a wild, untrained dragon. She's lost everything and above all the respect of her family.

Even before the extinction of the dragons, many Targs didn't have dragons and they still served the realm.

They should've kept Wendy around

I know she was only in one episode, and it was in the early seasons, but Reese and her dynamic was so cute, and it was obvious he liked her because, yk, boys act stupid when they like a girl like that. They should've at least brought her back for a few episodes like Cynthia.

Zach is also evil but we forget about it because Disingenuous is still there

EDIT: OK y'all got a point evil is a bit of a stretch im just dramatic haha

I LOVE Kayda. She has always been my favorite girl. But my god she is so obsessed with Zach and it makes me sick. Having the hideaway opened so early sadly sealed her fate and now she's seeing that America does not like her and Zach together.

Zach is a very insecure man who gives incel, and when a beautiful woman like Kayda falls into his lap, he sees it as his golden ticket to win 100k. Unfortunately for him, we the viewers see right through it.

  1. Him tearing down other couples (Sliming KC and telling Bryce Trinity doesn't like him)
  2. Not making Kayda breakfast because she had a chat with Caleb (even though he told all the girls to pull Caleb?!)
  3. The way he downplays Kayda's feelings by saying it's a joke and laughing or by saying that wasn't his intention. YOU STILL HURT HER!!
  4. Alannah. Now, I don't believe he was gonna bring her back even if she had stayed. However, not telling Kayda she left and saying "If I wanted to bring her back, I would" is lying by omission. YOU LITERALLY COULD NOT HAVE BROUGHT HER BACK. Kayda didn't even kiss Chay outside of a challenge and you were already kissing on little miss racist the second you got away from Kayda so stop.

Post villa, Kayda will do absolutely great, and I hope she finds an AMAZING man that isn't an evil dl and takes pleasure in dimming her spark.

Why does everyone invalidate Jordan's feeling when Sarah pretty much cheated on him?

I'm late to watching Superman and Lois and started s2 yesterday, but I just finished episode 3 and am extremely confused about Sarah and Jordan. Sarah kissed a girl at camp. She avoided Jordan until she told him. Yet somehow, Jordan's in the wrong for being upset and unsure if he can look past it??

It seems like no one is on his side, not even his twin brother. And Lana feeding into Sarah's victim complex is crazy. I don't even like Jordan, but I just felt horrible for him.

“Aren’t they supposed to explore?”

Edit: when i say Taylor was disrespectful i mean in the sense that he played in Olandrias face for the longest time and dgaf when she was upset, not because he explored.

Yes. This is Love Island. They are supposed to explore multiple connections. But I’m tired of people out here defending KC and Corbin and Taylor from last year.

It’s not that they explored and found someone in Casa. That’s completely fine. It’s the fact that they were all SO disrespectful about it. Actively dragging these women along, insulting their character, saying “I’m coming back with someone different” within the first five seconds of casa?? Disgusting.

As Serena said to Kordell: It was tested babe. You did it!! And you did it disrespectfully.

So yes, they are supposed to explore, but people who just say that the second a girl gets upset and cries because she’s genuinely upset, it’s so invalidating and I’m convinced yall just don’t care about women or watch the show with your eyes closed!!

Why do people like/defend Karen?

I'm really tired of seeing Karen Jackson getting these sympathy fan edits on TikTok. I genuinely don't understand the love, and I certainly can't defend her, especially given the fact that the writers didn't even try to give her a redemption arc (Not that anything could've redeemed her as a character). I don't know, can someone who likes and defends her on here tell me what I'm missing?

Both Debbie and Matty were in the wrong it wasn't just one person

I haven't watched seasons 4 and 5 in like a year, so please bear with me if I'm missing any information or forgetting what was said verbatim.

I'm not a Debbie fan at all, but I think people should stop solely blaming her for what happened with her and Matty. Matty was the adult in the situation. If I found out the boy I was talking to lied about his age (Debbie was 14 in s4?), I would cease all contact with him IMMEDIATELY.

I wouldn't tell him, "Let's wait until you're sixteen," or continue to ask him to hang out, or go to a party that he hosted with a bunch of his friends who are also 14 and 15-year-olds, me being a grown woman who's graduated from college. And if my memory serves me, Matty's 20 and has his own place? Like come on when I was twenty I didn't even look at 18 year olds that way!!

That being said, Debbie was also dead wrong. I get she had horrible parents, and I can't imagine Southside Chicago public education has the funding for a strong sex ed program, but she was still old enough to know better than to take advantage of someone who was passed out and blacked out.

"You don't remember?" and "We were on a date?" like girl BFFR.

EDIT: I'm not saying Debbie knew what she did was wrong. I'm saying she didn't know BUT she should have.

Courtney from s4!!

One of my favorite islanders because of her bubbly personality and my god that FACE CARD. Her and Bryce mogged everyone in that villa like damn.

Carl's DNA test not showing any African American ancestry??

In s7, Carl takes a DNA test and there is no sign of African American blood, even though Liam's black. I don't know if it's just bad writing on the show's part or what not, but that never made any sense to me. (Fun Fact, Ethan Cutosky is actually part Mexican!!)

But yeah, I think the worst writing and plot holes had to do with all the kids' parentage. And I'm not just talking about Liam being black either, more so Ian's dad being Frank's brother and them never addressing it ever again. Also, I have a theory that Debbie might not be Frank's either, but hey, what do I know?

The Devolution of Belle- What Happened??

I'm watching s5 right now after watching all stars through tik tok and i actually kinda like belle in her UK season (I also did not recognize her at first with the blonde haha).

I know she's been open about struggling with mental health, but also the way she carries herself nowadays on the internet and on TV is very unflattering and almost like she doesn't help her case of being unliked.

The "I walked so you could run" post was weird, and I think she just posted a vid of her with a MUH younger dude saying in the caption "mother and son" making fun of her haters.

I just wanna know- what happened?!

Melanie is not Huda and Sincere is not Jeremiah

To put it plainly, I really feel for Melanie. She's not perfect at all or the 100% victim, but Sincere is lying to her again and again and again.

And honestly I really don't get why everyone is calling her the new Huda when she's just sensitive like Amaya (not saying she's the new Amaya either). Huda literally verbally abused Jeremiah, love bombed him, and then threw herself a pity party.

Jeremiah and Sincere are also NOT alike in any way. Sincere is the one who makes empty promises and is exploring his connections disrespectfully, whereas Jeremiah was never disrespectful with exploring and when did try to explore with Iris, we saw how that turned out for him.

These are not characters, they are real people and they are very different from last season with their personality and relationship dynamics.

Also, I couldn't vote because the app crashed on me too much, but honestly, if Melanie goes home tonight, all I gotta say is don't be upset because yall did this by voting Sol with Sincere!!
