Roborock better than the ecovac t90 pro for around the same price?
My use case: single floor, mix of hardwood and medium carpet. Dog and cat, lots of pet hair. I'm coming from a roborock s5 which did great with navigation but the roller was always very stuck with pet hair. Plus I want a self-emptying base.
Based on reviews, I got the Ecovac T90 pro and had it for a few weeks. I was impressed with the tangle avoidance (roller is clean still) but three issues:
- Navigation is pretty inefficient, and it got stuck in a lot of places my old vacuum didn't (like under chairs, where backing up seemed like it would have worked) so I had to set up a lot of no-go zones it get it through a session without getting stuck.
- Big Issue - Pet hair would often not get cleared out of dustbin by docking station (even with frequent-emptying at max power turned on) - it was so jammed in the exit chute it plugged up the whole works several times. Kind of ruins the convenience of a self-emptying dock if I have to keep going in to manually clear the on-board dustbin. And no warnings that this was occurring.
- Side brush broke off along with the motor mount so not an easy replacement.
I've always been impressed with the roborock navigation and overall quality - anything better than the T90 in a similar price point?
