Roborock better than the ecovac t90 pro for around the same price?

My use case: single floor, mix of hardwood and medium carpet. Dog and cat, lots of pet hair. I'm coming from a roborock s5 which did great with navigation but the roller was always very stuck with pet hair. Plus I want a self-emptying base.

Based on reviews, I got the Ecovac T90 pro and had it for a few weeks. I was impressed with the tangle avoidance (roller is clean still) but three issues:

  1. Navigation is pretty inefficient, and it got stuck in a lot of places my old vacuum didn't (like under chairs, where backing up seemed like it would have worked) so I had to set up a lot of no-go zones it get it through a session without getting stuck.
  2. Big Issue - Pet hair would often not get cleared out of dustbin by docking station (even with frequent-emptying at max power turned on) - it was so jammed in the exit chute it plugged up the whole works several times. Kind of ruins the convenience of a self-emptying dock if I have to keep going in to manually clear the on-board dustbin. And no warnings that this was occurring.
  3. Side brush broke off along with the motor mount so not an easy replacement.

I've always been impressed with the roborock navigation and overall quality - anything better than the T90 in a similar price point?

Any recommendations for a nearly-same-price alternative?

Two-driver seat profile auto-change?

On our gen2 R1S, my wife and I have separate profiles/seat locations. It usually correctly identifies the driver from their phone key (shows the right name on the screen by the profile) but almost never auto-adjusts the seats. I'll have to go into profiles, it says my name already, but I hit my name again and then the seat moves to the right spot.

Anyone else see this behavior?

Cooling fan issues

On my P1S, I've been getting this error:

https://preview.redd.it/xknhtfcybi8h1.png?width=1008&format=png&auto=webp&s=e64bca8aef3a61cb0ff32be2ccd364a9131fbb4b

It links to this page: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/troubleshooting/hmscode/0300_0400_0002_0001

The cable for the front housing assembly seems plugged in well enough. The fan on the cover isn't turning. I replaced the front housing assembly with a new one, and I am getting the same error - and the new one the fan isn't turning either.

Any ideas? Still printing ok without issues that I can see...

Should this fan always be spinning, or does it get turned on only as needed?

Cheap rims for r1s 22" wheels?

Reolink Duo 2 vs 3?

I've seen some posts in the past that the image bandwidth is too high from the Reolink Duo 3 for blue iris. I'm running it in a VM so I don't have any real hardware compression help on the BI side. Is it still the case that the Duo 2 is probably the way to go between the two or has anything been fixed for the 3?

Thanks!

T90 gets stuck everywhere?

Upgrading from a Roborock S5 to the T90 Pro. For my first floor, the S5 did fine for years, always able to complete the clean.

I've tried with the T90 to clean the same area (vacuum only for now) and it has yet to complete a pass without getting stuck - tried maybe 5x so far. It keeps says it's bumper is stuck because it's getting wedged in areas and can't figure out to back out. Like under chairs or between furniture. I've added a few virtual walls but it's getting kind of crazy, having to reduce how much it's covering so much.

Am I missing a setting or an option, or is the navigation really this bad? The bumper seems to move freely, I didn't think it was a hardware issue...

VNC VM Console suddenly failed on VM?

I have a windows 11 VM, which was running well, VNC VM console working fine. Suddenly it lost connection, and now even with VM restarts I can't connect. I can see the VM is running find, I can detect services it's running. I tried a few of the non-default VM console video drivers, but nothing seem to help. What are my options?

EDIT: browser incognito mode worked.

USB device not showing up under /by-id?

I have a SDR (RTL2838) usb dongle. It's working passing it to the docker by bus/device path, but this does change every reboot.

Why isn't this device showing up under /dev/serial/by-id? My zwave dongle shows up there, but not this one.

Two NICs - how to decide which the dockers get to see?

I have two NICs / two networks. Both are set to allow bridging.

I'd like to make it so I can decide which networks the dockers can "see". When I select "bridge" as the network type for the docker, it can see both. Even if I unselect br1 in the docker settings as an available custom network, "bridge" dockers can access both.

Is there a way to do this?

Two networks to VM?

I want to pass two networks to a windows VM, one for the main LAN and one for my isolated camera LAN. I'd like the camera LAN to be isolated - meaning nobody on the camera LAN can access the unraid UI, etc. Is this doable in Unraid?

Anyone configure PFSense using starlink as failover WAN and still linking to home assistant?

I'm using starlink as a failover WAN. I can get some statistics of starlink via the app (which I believe uses the starlink network to go back to the unit, without requiring a LAN->WAN connection) but the home assistant integration appears to require access from LAN to starlink 192.168.100.1.

u/diverdown976 had a nice write-up of the pfsense config for starlink in failover WAN config, but says you don't need to NAT to 192.168.100.1 since the web interface of starlink is off in bypass mode.

Does anyone have the home assistant integration working when starlink is in bypass and PFSense has it as a failover WAN?

Trying to put a bandwidth cap on any local device using the OPT3 WAN only, except for priority devices (their local IPs set up as an alias)

I made a OPT3 upload and download queue with 1kb/s limit:

https://preview.redd.it/e6cjgja5uzyg1.png?width=1468&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c9778fabe5deda874109b2d4930a706c6a7b1ca

Then I have two floating rules for OPT3 that I *think* puts any device not in the priorityIP alias group into the limited bandwidth queues.

The rules push packets into the queues:

Did I do this right? Tried to follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8nL81DzTlU&t=378s

I have two WANS (on a failover group) and want to do traffic shaping ONLY on the backup WAN2. I understand there is a potential performance hit for having a traffic shaping queue, so would like to avoid it on WAN1 and LAN. Is that possible?
