VNC VM Console suddenly failed on VM?

I have a windows 11 VM, which was running well, VNC VM console working fine. Suddenly it lost connection, and now even with VM restarts I can't connect. I can see the VM is running find, I can detect services it's running. I tried a few of the non-default VM console video drivers, but nothing seem to help. What are my options?

EDIT: browser incognito mode worked.

USB device not showing up under /by-id?

I have a SDR (RTL2838) usb dongle. It's working passing it to the docker by bus/device path, but this does change every reboot.

Why isn't this device showing up under /dev/serial/by-id? My zwave dongle shows up there, but not this one.

Two NICs - how to decide which the dockers get to see?

I have two NICs / two networks. Both are set to allow bridging.

I'd like to make it so I can decide which networks the dockers can "see". When I select "bridge" as the network type for the docker, it can see both. Even if I unselect br1 in the docker settings as an available custom network, "bridge" dockers can access both.

Is there a way to do this?

Two networks to VM?

I want to pass two networks to a windows VM, one for the main LAN and one for my isolated camera LAN. I'd like the camera LAN to be isolated - meaning nobody on the camera LAN can access the unraid UI, etc. Is this doable in Unraid?

Shop points for autonomy+?

I don't suppose there's a way to put shop reward points towards an autonomy+ upgrade?

Anyone configure PFSense using starlink as failover WAN and still linking to home assistant?

I'm using starlink as a failover WAN. I can get some statistics of starlink via the app (which I believe uses the starlink network to go back to the unit, without requiring a LAN->WAN connection) but the home assistant integration appears to require access from LAN to starlink 192.168.100.1.

u/diverdown976 had a nice write-up of the pfsense config for starlink in failover WAN config, but says you don't need to NAT to 192.168.100.1 since the web interface of starlink is off in bypass mode.

Does anyone have the home assistant integration working when starlink is in bypass and PFSense has it as a failover WAN?

Trying to put a bandwidth cap on any local device using the OPT3 WAN only, except for priority devices (their local IPs set up as an alias)

I made a OPT3 upload and download queue with 1kb/s limit:

https://preview.redd.it/e6cjgja5uzyg1.png?width=1468&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c9778fabe5deda874109b2d4930a706c6a7b1ca

Then I have two floating rules for OPT3 that I *think* puts any device not in the priorityIP alias group into the limited bandwidth queues.

The rules push packets into the queues:

Did I do this right? Tried to follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8nL81DzTlU&t=378s

I have two WANS (on a failover group) and want to do traffic shaping ONLY on the backup WAN2. I understand there is a potential performance hit for having a traffic shaping queue, so would like to avoid it on WAN1 and LAN. Is that possible?

Is it a speed issue to have appdata have the array as secondary storage? Will the mover only take stuff off the cache if the cache is getting full, and only move stuff that hasn't been touched for a while? Cache drive is getting pretty full.

Also, if appdata is on cache only, does that mean it's not protected by the RAID redundancy of the array?

This is probably too vague of a problem to get specific advise about, but I feel like my unraid setup is way too slow. The responsiveness of the UI for unraid is pretty poor, taking 15+ seconds sometime to respond to clicks. Some of the dockers are slower than I expect, especially the UI for home assistant. If unraid is installing a new docker, other browser tabs for the unraid UI are basically unresponsive for minutes until it's done.

However, if I open a incognito window the UI will be somewhat responsive (but not perfect) even though the other version in my regular chrome browser tabs are stuck.

It's not a CPU issue, I can see on TOP that the CPUs are not at all near max load. (all usually <10%).

I'm on unRAID 7.2.3. I recently upgraded the motherboard/CPU to try to improve performance (now on Z790 mobo with i9 CPU). Memory: 64 GiB DDR5.

I run the docker share off the cache array (SSD drives).

Some of this might be a browser issue (clear cookies?) since it works a little better in incognito mode. But beyond that I still feel like it's overall too slow.

Is there some tool I can use to narrow down where the bottleneck is (array? cache?).

Solved: docker vImage not on cache drive even though the docker image share had cache as primary spot.
